  • Clearly comes up short compared to the original. But I'm happy they kept the song.

  • Ooo

  • Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiooiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp

  • this is just so literal. Big deal, a ball rolling through a kids room.

The old one was cool because it all happened in some weird alternate dimension were nothing had to make sense but was vaguely related to pinball.

Maybe the creators need to take drugs like they did in the 70s.

  • Great animation and music. I love hearing the steel pan.

  • So cool

  • 91 people can't count to 12, and Thumbs up if you watched this 12 times.

  • While I'm glad Sesame Street didn't change the song, I don't really care much for this modernized video when compared with the classic. It just looks like Sesame Street is trying to emulate Toy Story (can't say I'd blame them with the success of the franchise).

There is no substitue for the original video; makes me want a SkyRail set (Quercetti). Maybe that's what Sesame Street should have done: keep the original pinball design, and CGI that instead of trying to copy Toy Story.

  • Q"

  • the old one was better..... i'm old

  • Anyone else get Goodnight Moon vibes from the opening shot?

  • I thought this WAS the old-school one!!!!

  • This is pretty cool.

  • That was young Chuck Norris's Pinball Machine. :-D

  • how do u know that?

  • I like it, but I love the old one, my daughters grew up with it :o)

  • Did the robot puke it out??

  • Congratulations to the winner of the Sesame Street Aniboom contest!

  • They oughta put this show out of it's misery already, after 42 seasons it's just not fun anymore

  • Corny, cheap and completely unimaginative compared to the original I grew up with in the 70's!

  • The old version is way better

  • what in the world is this? this is sad.

  • I like the original elements tied in with a fresh, new look and feel to one of Sesame Street's timeless classics. Pretty good. Although I'm still shaking my head at the remade Ladybug Picnic. Absolutely horrible in it's new format.

  • shut up trolls at least they stuck with the same music!

  • OMG. This so sucks.

  • Now, I'm 31, I grew up with Sesame Street... and for once I actually think this is an improvement. For one thing, it's the original music, not a limp re-recording of the song we all know and love.

And the other thing... let's face it, pinball is a dead art form that no kid can relate to. I didn't know what the pinball version was as a kid-- no pinball game I ever saw looked like that, so I didn't make the connection! But every kid can understand this.

  • @Gravidtron

Pinball's not dead mate... just saying. It's actually on the up-swing with several new companies currently designing pins. The demographic that collect new and restore older pins is growing every year!

But your point about kids today not easily relating to pinball is certainly sound... which is a bummer.

  • Lame. Original was definitely better.

  • lame. the old one was much better

  • lame.

  • Did they think kids today wouldn't understand pinball machines or something? A ball rolling around a room isn't anywhere near as compelling as an increasingly elaborate pinball machine.

  • Oh, Sesame Street. Always trying to fix what isn't broken.

  • This was a big let down. Me and my 3 year old thought it was bad.

  • I don't get it. Did they do this because they could?

  • I like the CLASSIC better than this new version..NICE TRY!

  • I loved it, but like what everyone said the old-school one is better, I grew up watching the old school pin ball. But Kudos, my kids loved it.

  • Kkkklllll

  • OMG THEY RUINED IT

  • i don't really understand why this was necessary

  • Thumbs up if you liked the old-school one better.

  • I'm quite glad they didn't try to remix/modernize the song.

  • @dtsnazzysniff Me too, that would have been a disaster.

  • Nice to see an old favorite get an update like this. CG all the way even but keeping a retrocartoonish feel. Very nice! Oh I'll never get this sog out of my had now! ;)

  • This is pretty cool! It brings more of a timelessness to the piece than the original quasi-Peter-Max looking illustrations of the originals, which I recognized as looking very dated even as a child in the early eighties. I don't like the new sound effects, though, they kind of interfere with the music.

  • how is the ball moving!? IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE!!

  • At least it's not some CGI monstrosity.

  • they messed with a classic boo sesame street

  • they messed with a classic boo sesame street

  • Okay, I remember the original very well. Do I like it better than this one? I like BOTH the old and the new--especially since they kept the old song...and the stop-motion filming is just as trippy as the old-school animation from back in the day...what's old and new combined suits my retro-vibe just fine! :-D

  • wow this sesame street is awesome better than in Holland they show us old versions I mean they show them old versions XD LOL fail

  • They should have done a updated pinball video.. my son is 3 and he likes the older one.

  • @KARBELAEZ Your son has taste. Good job!

  • I can give it a thumbs-up because they didn't dump the song. But it's a shame they think they have to do a new video to entertain today's kids. I hope they don't re-do #11.

  • Well it looks stop film. I could be wrong

  • I like the stop motion in this

  • Well, at least they kept the music and didn't remix it into rap crap like they did with the THEME SONG. If you think this is bad, look at the new Electric Company. You won't even recognize it, I promise.

  • @DisneyBlackJet I kinda like the new Electric Company, actually...even though it has very little to do with the original.

  • might as well watch toy story... pinball or nothing!

  • The first one was better

  • Guess pinball machines painted in the surrealist 70s animated style is no longer relevant for today's youth....

  • i like that you used the original song... but you can't change the original pinball! What's the point of a random ball moving around the room? none... at least in the pinball machine, there was a reason for the pinball moving

  • the original is a cult classic.

  • Not as good as the original pinball--the audio was stickily put together, and (speaking of sticky) could they have done something other than claymation?!

  • You cannot improve upon perfection. This is proof of that.

  • this is sooooooooo shitty!!! that isnt even a pinball...

looks like a table tennis ball... im grieving

  • It just doesn't have that LSD-inspired quality which permeated so much of the animation during my 70's childhood..;)

  • Don't worry, old schoolers, this is a nice homage to the original we used to watch. Also, stop motion is an untapped resource for entertainment these days and this was well done. The rocket smoke rocked!!

  • It's like my childhood never happened and now they're telling me it belongs to someone else!

    Still catchy, though...

  • This is an outrage.

  • 1st time I've seen the final version. All the extra sound FX add alot. I was also in the animation competition. Congrats! Nice work.

  • There both awesome.

  • Old one please!!!!

  • I love the original, but this version is pretty cute.

  • eh, the original is better.

  • @majinvegetaforever - wait, how is claymation outdated? Plus, if you liked the original, that was hand-drawn, which is considered even more outdated.

  • No were near has good has the original, just bring back some of the old stuff to mix in with the new, and keep it the way it was.

  • THE SONG IS CUT SHORTER AND THIS IS NOT A PINBALL MACHINE.

  • It may have been better with a neon yellow/orange ball, I found myself looking for the white one...

  • STOP SINGING! I'M TRYING TO SLEEP!!!!!!!!!!

  • If it ain't broke, don't fix it. The old one was groovy.

  • @iluvjensen Agreed!

  • @iluvjensen yeah they could have just remastered the original a little and kept everything else the same.

  • Waaaaat is with the claymation? lol

  • I like that they kept the original song......

  • With all that is available, how could they have come up with something so dismal? Just give us the original.

  • not a fan, but makes the old one so much better

  • This is new for me.

  • There is nothing creative, colorful, interesting about this new take on the classic Pinball number series. Why mess with the classic? Today's kids get it and don't need a dumbed-down, softened version.

Blocks? A jack-in-the-box? Could you be any more cliche?

It's like a room decorated by Potterybarn Kids. So call it Pottery #12.

  • And that's why I want the old Sesame Street back :(

It was way more entertaining. It ruins the feeling of the old days

  • NOOOOOOOO!!!!!! XO

  • "This is Blasphemy!"

  • nah thumbs down just because the 1st one is wayyyy better

  • dammit!!! why did they change it????

  • Just not the same.....

  • the original is still alot better loved that pinball machine

  • Imagine how long it'll take if it was 8,572...

  • I can't even say "Nice try on this new version". It is rather soul-less and doesn't have the old school bounce and charm. And, whilst I'm kvetching, I think Elmo needs his own show. ..

  • Boooo! Bring back the originals!

  • This is good. A little fast for young ones, limit the time they see this much fast flashing. BUt in moderation, it is good. Just limit the fast and flashing.

  • this sucks

  • Kudos for using the original version of the song, though. Nice try. And the use of claymation is sooo much better than the constant overuse of cgi.

  • As I'm watching this, my five year old runs up and says "I love this!!....Hey...this is a different one." Yes, even today's kids know which is better. :)

  • why they cannot do for other numbers

  • i like elmo.....im only 2 years old

  • I dunno why people are complaining so much. I think that while its true the original WAS better, this is a fine piece none-the-less. It also kind of reminds me of PeeWee's playhouse (which is never a bad thing)

  • the old one is better

  • that ball can't escape the number 12, even if he goes to THE FREAKING MOON!!!

  • playdo animation... my all time favourite :D

    always amazed :P :P

  • 70's rewritten? Can say enough!

  • Still amazed that sesame street doesn't get more views. Lately their videos have been great on here.. Why not remake it? The old one was good and still is yet not be as interesting to all audiences when they are used to more cgi related shows/movies.

  • If it's not broke why fix it? The old psychedelic one has been good enough for 30 years.

  • It's not even pinball......

  • I don't like. The classic one is much weirder. This one is too child friendly.

  • @bobxtraz sesame street is a kids show you know... a complaint about it being too "child friendly" doesn't make much sense

  • How dare they remake this classic! :(

Actually, it was pretty good except for the fact that they added in all those goofy sound effects. It doesn't NEED sound effects!

  • @BizzarreProductions

They had an online contest and this was fan made, but the original doesn't have the sound effects...

  • I WOULD LIKE TO SEE SESAME STREET TIE MY SHOES

  • Cute! Just as good as the pinball ones I watched as a kid.

  • This would've been a bit better if the cat's tail actually hit the ball to start it off. But I'm just nitpicking because this could never compare to my nostalgic memories, lol.

  • New animation, old audio track

  • That whispering cat clock is just a bit creepy...

  • Aww. This is cute. Why so much hate!

  • but...but...how can it be Pinball Number Count without any pinball???????

I don't mind them remaking old shorts - an HD Pinball Number Count with more vibrant graphics would be great - but don't just, like, gut them and take away all the cool parts.

This is more like Clean Up Your Room Already Number Count.

  • @eskilla: You read my mind; with no pinball machine in sight, the Workshop guys should have called this remake "Playroom #12" or somethng similar. If they'd had enough action to leave the audio track uncut, it might have worked better too...

  • Gods I remembered the original it was awesome..

  • Oh my god. This is one of the few things i remembered from the original series when I was 3. And of course Family Guy remaking it with Stewie. Fantastic! Im glad they reuse a lot of classics.

  • This is cute, but the old one is best! I see they used the original song though, which makes you wonder what was the point of the new vid....

  • Well at least they kept the original song.

  • whoa, different from the original classic one. this is the new claymation one...

  • nice, but this isnt actual pinball lol

  • 11th

  • mmm...i liked it when it was an actual pinball.

    ehhh. i don't know about this :|

  • @MRKiNGr82 I agree. As cool as this one might actually be, knowing the original just takes away from the my potential joy of this one.

  • g... u think sonic would watch this?

  • ANIMATION IS AMAZING

  • This is so going to outrage a LOT of old-school and classic fans.

  • @GroverKent Agreed.

  • @GroverKent Yeah this is not right at all.

Do they even know what's quality anymore.

    Uh no.

  • @GroverKent At least they kept the original song. They could easily have done a new arrangement of it.

  • Stop motion animation! How cool ^^ Love it!

    and... 5th comment =P

  • nice

  • CUTE
