"1st. YOU NEED a bass pre amp. The saddles have pizzo pickups and work very well if you use a bass pre amp. This is what will make it open up and sound great: [...] 2. No battery on these current models. One vol knob. 3. My side dots ever off. I fixed it using my dremel, but I really dont care what it looks like (with in reason) as long as ..."

  • @IrvingGarcia58 its not electric....

  • 5 PE-FOLKS ARE YANKEES

  • Beast xD

  • do you have the tabs for those songs

  • Maybe some people actually like 6 string banjos, but I suspect most buy them because they already play guitar and they're too lazy to learn new chords. Listen to Bela Fleck play a 5 string and you'll most likely realize how much nicer a 5 string is. A 6 string is just a guitar with a banjo sound, but the styles never sound the same. Chords are much easier on a 5 string banjo than a banjo guitar as well.

  • B string is out XD haha

  • I'm officially in love with you, kind sir. Heehee..I just got a Dean 6 String.

  • Is it tuned in Open G? Cause I'm trying to tune mine in Open G but I can't find ANY "how to videos" online and I think I'm doing it wrong.

  • Are these worth getting? Some of the notes sound kinda muted.

  • come to earth

  • I'm about to get one of these. Does it use regular guitar strings?

  • dude, you rock!

  • do i have to play without a shirt to play this music?

  • yes!, it's banjo lol, no shirt.. or some overalls, without a shirt, to be extra cool add a piece of straw

  • yes

  • @DailyStepper yeah it would be pointless if here was

  • @DailyStepper I think you might even have to take off your pants.

  • do you have tabs for the dueling banjos at the begining?

  • the intro ??

  • no the faster finger picking section

  • ITS A DEAN!!!!!! OH YEAH!!!!!! :) i love deans

  • mommy i want a mullet

  • yea. i would recommend modifying the bridge. you may need to make deeper indents for the strings then adjust the action from there. if you dont, then the strings (especially the heavier ones) will slip out of their places, which can get really aggravating haha

  • @blakefoster937 i just got one i sanded the bottom now it works great

  • View counter from hell

  • The banjo blues.

  • I'VE GOT BLISTERS ON ME FINGERS!!!!!

  • man thats an obscure beatles reference lol

  • I got the chance to play one of these, and it was really awesome.

  • I GOT BLISTERS ON ME FINGERS!

  • whew..... someones a babe!!! and he aint too bad at the banjo either.

  • lol stewie's song

  • I am nobody...

  • ahaha

  • could you play the whole dueling banjo thing on that and still have it sound good? my grnadfathers trying to convince me into a 5 string banjo and i havent ever played a banjo yet but theres a dean there and i dunno what to get

  • yea it doesnt sound as good but it's still good. also the whole song is played a whole step higher than i played it so it would sound better with a capo on the 2nd fret.

  • but do you think i should get the dean or the 5 string banjo?

  • it all depends on if you are willing to learn how to play a 5 string banjo if you dont already know how because its alot different than guitar unlike the 6 string

  • I want to learn how to play banjo, and i don't know if I'd like the 6 string more than a 5 string i am a guitar player and i just want a secondary instrument. Can i play the 6 string like a 5 string or is it really different

  • get the 5 string. the only reason you would want to play a 6 string is so you wont have to learn how to play a 5 string , but if u wanna learn, then get the 5 string.

  • i got the 5 string haha, would that stewie griffin song work on a 5 string to? if so can you send some tabs?

  • haha cool. and yes it would work the song was written on a 5 string but i dont have tabs sorry

  • damn haha ok man thanks for all the help

  • i just bought one after seeing this(woot)and i know what you mean about the bridge, has to be in the right place for the intonation to be correct.a bit off and it does'nt sound right.thanks 5*

  • lol I see you watch Family Guy. So on a scale of 1-5 (5 being the best, 1 being the worst) what would you give it? I'm looking to buy this banjo and I don't wanna buy a piece of crap.

BTW, you forgot the ending to "My Fat Baby". I GOT BLISTERS ON ME FINGERS!!!

  • i'd give it a 4, the only downside being the bridge, which i could go on and on about how bad it sucks at first, but once you solve all problems with the bridge, your good

  • Okay sweet. Thx man!

  • hey ive got a six stringer too, and the action of the strings is well too high do you know how i can fix this?

  • your neck tension is probably not adjusted right. there is probably a small arc on your neck turning slightly inward. if you havent already, you need to unscrew the cover on the headstock, then inside youll see a nut and you need to twist it with tools that should come with your banjo until the neck is straight, and in your case the action will be lower once you straighten out the neck

  • damn! i took it off and discovered i do need a special tool. but i dont have any. i tried fiddling with the bar under the resonator after a bit of research but not luck. owell i'll just take to my mate he'll sort it. cheers for the advice tho, just have to stick to the guitar for now. ha

  • i wana buy one of these as a joke

Whats a good Brand of a 6 string banjo lol.

  • haha looks like someone forgot to take their antidepressants this morning

  • Good one!

  • are all 6 string banjos tuned like a guitar?
