  • I love watching how the buckling almost occurs as if it follows a VERY specific pattern. I havnt studied material failures due to buckling yet, but informative. Looks almost like a torsion becomes applied to the tube after it begins buckling.

  • What's fascinating is that the shape of each fold is triangular in plan. A triangle is the most stable shape. The failing material deforms until it forms a shape that cannot be deformed and then the next section buckles
