Hilary pulls is one of the FEW people I've seen pull off such a blunt hair cut/style. I love it on here. Her lip color when she has the gold shimmery eyes is DIVINE! And this purple look is amazing. I actually prefer your version.

That is by far the easiest way to do a cat eye look- by starting at the bottom of the eye and then brining it in and connecting it to the rest on top. A+!
