Lewsey was actually the best centre in the premiership imo 2 years ago. In his later years, England could have really used him there, especially if he had lost a yard of pace. Retired from rugby at the top of his game.
Danny Cipriani (in my opinion) could be a gd player wiv alot of potential, for some reason he reminds me of gavin henson. Havnt yet achieved their full potential. but Gavin has achieved way more:)
Danny Cipriani - Just to let you know, Kelly has asked me to write a "Dear John" letter for you. Keep a look out in the post. You know it's coming. Sorry to hear you didn't make the team for the Six Nations.
I agree with you entirely. I don't know why the press reported the story either. Check out my clip on youtube - "Danny Cipriani England Rugby's No.1 Celebrity". You'll love it.
Tyrant1505 - of the very few England players I respect, Josh Lewsey is one of them. However don't you think he's becoming a bit old in the tooth now? We all have to discard our favourites at some point - even the Mighty All Blacks. That's why you never hear of an All Black retiring. There's always someone faster, stronger, better coming up from below. Perhaps Jonah Lomu was the only exception in his time. It makes me chuckle how your England players keep coming in and out of retirement.
You may be right BUT he now seems to be classed as the cliche goes, "utility player", rubbish! I can't say I've seen much of him this season BUT when I have, he's a better footballer and harder than Jamie "lets give you ONE more chance " Noon as a centre for starters. England, irrelevant if they're bulding etc need to start WINNING, jeez, that'll help build them. Lewsey IMO should've been there short term to help. See my old mucka Dan Ward-Smith is getting some press....about friggin time!!!
i think alot of the time when england players 'retire' its because the coach has told them theyre not in his plans but has given them the chance to save face by announcing it on their own terms.
the fact that lewsey has retired himself is possibly due more to the fact that johnson has shown a nice touch by not publicly excluding him, than that there is no opposition
lewsey was a prime tackler...think of him destroying mullet head rogers in the world cup....cant punch tho ;-))))))

@x0xnathanxx Henson was way overated.

@x0xnathanxx
The reason why he reminds you of Henson is because they're both more bothered about if they look pretty than the game!

Ha Ha! - very good. I dont know why the press tried to make such a big deal out of that whole scenario? Its rugby, people get clocked all the time.

I've seen lots of training grounds spats. Had a couple myself. The press obviously don't understand rugby if they think it was unusual.
They made a big thing out of it to sell newspapers. It's nothing to do with JL and DC playing for the same team.
