I like Mark Driscoll, I agree with most of his messages, I would love to live in a community of people that help and appreciate each other as much as the ones at Mars Hill Church. I just don't believe in God and no ceremony and no book will change that. What should I do?

Sidney Greenleaf of Harvard, an ex-Atheist legal expert said there's more evidence for Jesus being the Messiah than not
Greenleaf went further, the quote's on my channel.
@IdaSputum well i dont think thats possible, because u would need actual evidence of god, so that there is evidence of Jesus being the Messiah.
I don't doubt, that Jesus lived. I don't doubt he did great things. I do however doubt that these actions were anything supernatural. I don't believe in the fantastic stories of Hercules either, though I don't doubt, that he existed. Taking ancient texual sources as concrete evidence is a dangerous thing to do, because it's often exaggerated or made up.
@IdaSputum I don't think talking about religion is a talk about evidence, probability, etc. I understand you just need to believe in God. I asked God in my life, i did not get an answer. I would like to believe in a god, but other than it being more convinient I just don't see another reason to do it. I definately don't feel it in my heart (or brain rather).
@TheBarret89 I didnt "just want to believe" - i was quite prepared for there to be just nothing but a ball of mud in space as id been brought up to think. I just wanted to know and also had run out of ways to sort out a legal problem i had and just called out to the universe on the off-chance -- & it transpired that Jesus is REAL. Your brain lies to you, its arrogant, as do many, many people lie, like those atheists I'd listen to, pretending to know everything when they don't.
@IdaSputum and here you find an atheist who does not claim to know everything. I don't know how the world was created, i dont know how the universe came to pass, etc. but just because i dont know, doesnt mean i trust something that, to me, is completly unfounded, an unprooved claim (not saying it cant be right). Also brains cant lie, they may only misperceive reality. but if i dont trust logic, i wont be able to live in this world, because our world (yours too) is built up by logic.
@TheBarret89 Lie"? "Misperceive"? Splitting hairs will get you nowhere. "Logic" ? You are so sure of what the world is "built" of, yet you didn't 'build' it?. - Wow, scary arrogance.
My empirical evidence of Jesus tells me you don't know it all, although you claim to. Try humility, try asking with all your heart and head. Stop delusionally believing that you know everything or you will never have room to find out anything.
@IdaSputum did you not listen to what I said? Now ur brain lies/misperceives you. I do not claim to know everything, now you are starting to put me in a category. I said god is possible, but to me its just not proven.
And its not arrogant to state the obvious. I know a cherry pie is made of cherrys without baking it. Ever wondered why apples dont fall to the sky but to the ground? No, me neither because it would be completly unlogical. We trust logic in our life. You do that as well.
@IdaSputum you understood me incorrectly. I'm aware of gravity and its logical properties. What I wanted to show was, that neither you nor me, when dropping an apple expect gravity not to work. We are 100% sure, when we drop an apple gravity will pull it to the ground. But why is it not possible that just this one time this one apple contraditcs the laws of nature and science? Because its unlogical. And the fact that we dont even think about this possibility shows that we rely on logic.
@IdaSputum And if you claim, God is responsible for logic, that's fine, this is a perfectly good explanation. But don't call me arrogant, just because I state that the world is logical and that I rely on it (as much as you do and everyone else). Because that is something that is very disrespectful to call me arrogant, when we both agree that logic is all around us, just because you believe God is the reason for logic and I don't.
@TheBarret89 If you are so 'logical' & are sure you know the world is "built on logic" why ask me;
"Ever wondered why apples dont fall to the sky but to the ground? No, me neither because it would be completly unlogical. We trust logic in our life. You do that as well."
You illustrate your contradictory ramblings. You don't know what you're talking about & arrogantly assume I'm the same as you
Calling that 'arrogance', is not insulting, it's a very fair assessment of all you said!
@IdaSputum Thats what I dont like about discussion on religion: I've been completely friendly towards you, I've never made fun of your beliefs although I don't share them, I never even said, that I am right and youre wrong. All I'm saying is that you believe in something that does not work for me. But instead of just accepting my believe you are very disrespectful towards me, you call me arrogant, although you have aknowledge the fact that there is logic in my and your world.
@IdaSputum you accuse me of not knowing what I talk about, without knowing me, just because you didn't understand what I meant. You tell me I claimed to know everything which Ive never did. And now you just cut me off and brush off with a very disrespectful "Bye" without giving me the chance to reply
It's very ironic that were having this disussion on a video thats about humbleness, because I dont feel like you were very humble in this discussion. Sometimes people dont agree with you, thats life
What is a good atheist? One that believes that everything is in front of his eyes? I am sorry that you think that 2,000 years ago was too far away to believe as significant. Maybe instead you can believe something came from nothing hundreds of billions of years ago, because that makes more sense.
Hilarious! This is one of the most proud, self-righteous, and arrogant men i have ever heard in the pulpit. Preaching oral sex and using scripture to justify this perversion?! He is got to be out of his carnal mind! Satan is having a hay-day with Mark Driscolls church because it is nothing but the lost world in a building pretending to be the bride of Christ while in fact they are lying him down with a whore and causing the rest of the world to blaspheme because of their hypocrisy....Repent!
This is all true, it's just the "they peacably co exist, they agree to dissagree agreably." which is all not true, did Jesus? Did Nehemiah? I've never seen anyone agree to dissagree "agreably" for the good of others, it's alwayse so people think good of them.
When I ask a christian if all cancers in the world could be cured with a prayer, he shuffles uneasily; he steals a glance into the empty sack of his faith as if to try to find something, then he begins, not to say that his faith has collapsed, or that he is sorry, but to claim that god moves in ways that cannot be understood by humans - an explanation that could answer any situation; for if I ask him why the cancer is there in the first place – lo! - the same answer!
@mhouk2 I think it is remarkable how enduring the myths of the Iron Age are. Long after the dawn of the modern age, and the understandings that came with the enlightenment and the knowledge of physics, chemistry and biology, people still hold on to the myths as if they have any useful, practical or moral guidelines for us.
I have no sins that you know about. Religion needs a “reason”, then a contrived and obviously desperately-wanted “cause”
Then invents a “guilt” and the need for “salvation”
I humbly say to you all that I have a big house, massive bank account and a gorgeous wife!!! but that it is all down to my own ability...thank God for consumerism!!!

@TheJohnDoran Well I would encourage you friend not to look to every so called Christian, because not all who profess to be Christians really are.But look to Jesus Christ and in him is true Life found.I agree there are people who use others as a means of gaining wealth in the name of Jesus, but people like that only have a fearful expectation of God's wrath in the end if they do not repent.May the Lord lead you , have a nice day.
@TheJohnDoran Well then you're not a good atheist. Maybe you're just doing it for attention. For me it's kind of hard to believe there's a dude that saved me 2000 years ago. Good luck with that.
@TheJohnDoran Praise God for that! this confirms my thought that atheists stay coming on christian videos becasue they unconsciously know they need God!

...However, I hope that all of this talk about being humble so that we can be better friends and neighbors is recognized by Driscoll as being second to humility for the sake of our relationship with God. After all, the greatest commandment is to love the Lord our God with all our heart, mind, soul and strength. And it is not a point but a process (that is, you do not achieve it then move on, but it is something that is worked toward constantly), which the latter is fully dependent on.
