Back in the day, about the same time that film was made, I used to bite my dentist's fingers when he stuck the x-ray films in my mouth. I didn't mean to bite but I think it was a reflex reaction. Anyway, after I bit him, he would slap me, and that is why I hated going to the dentist. I didn't even think I was biting him until one time he said 'look at the blood'.

Funny how a dentist slapping a kid would be unthinkable today.

One thing you have to remember is that this was made - at the latest - in the early 1970s. It's how dentists did their work back then - the days before certain standards were put into place.

I still think this video is cool - I remember it from childhood.

I totally remember this one! I wish the dentists I go to were this nice and gentle...ok, ok, ok I'm a big baby when it comes to going to the dentist! Also, yes, great example of Joe Raposo's music...I guess that's why I like the theme song to Three's Company, too.

I remember this from my childhood too. One of those things that you don't consciously remember every day but are reminded of when you're sitting in the chair getting your teeth cleaned - especially the quote, "Here we go, up in the air..."

I definitely remember this one! This was another cute film about children experiencing "necessary experiences", as I like to call it; no matter how much you may dread going there, or love going there, visiting the dentist is vital at least twice a year. They did a very good job showing what the dentist's experience is like; I also remember seeing a similar video with a little girl visiting the doctor's office.

Actually, The're all in their 30's and 40's. No one in their 20's were born when this segment was filmed, which was sometime in the early 1970's.
