Rosin should not be wiped off the bow. Wiping it off the top of the instrument is a good idea, but not a 'must' each time. Periodically doing this will help keep the rosin from building up on the top of the instrument, between the bridge and fingerboard.
Where an I get a case like that?

Hi Brett,
Rosin should not be wiped off the bow. Wiping it off the top of the instrument is a good idea, but not a 'must' each time. Periodically doing this will help keep the rosin from building up on the top of the instrument, between the bridge and fingerboard.
Thanks for your question.

Thanks for the info.
As a beginner I'm trying to learn as much as posible so I don't mistreat my violin while I learn to play.

It would probably sound like a slightly louder and deeper violin....IF...notice the big IF... you can find violin strings to fit a full size viola.

if you put violin strings in a viola what would it sound like?
