  • On a side note, the context here revolves around using this method with people that are just starting out in the world of training. There is still a level of common sense required for people that haven't trained in a long time and go back at it as if they never stopped. Sure there may be such a thing as a 'muscle memory' but there's also what I call 'muscle amnesia' so check your ego at the door all you hammer throwing retired gods and ease back into.

  • This clip was inspired by a conservation I witnessed recently where a guy selling personal training bragged about how the 1 rep max was such a good way to show people how out of shape they were and that they needed personal training.
