I know the fashion isn't what matters, but GOD it was sooo much cooler back then! Baggy pants, plus size shirts, & sneakers never looked better. Sure, these styles are still around, but I absolutely CRINGE when I see ravers in flip-flops, viser hats, & cargo shorts. And I'm getting sick and tired of going to raves and seeing a bunch of 'Girls Gone Wild' type chicks girating in bikini tops and mini-skirts. And what the hell is up with skinny jeans? I don't understand!

@sizzlemeat some people like to look good while they feel good. bikini tops nd mini skirts also help with the overheating of prolonged dancing. I think the styles kooler now, and more rave friendly but thats just me.

@cockofduty4 You're right, actually. It's kind of sexist in a way because guys can always take their shirts off at raves to cool down, so it shouldn't be an issue AT ALL if a girl wants to do the same. I was mostly coming from a place where (at least here in AZ) there's all these YOUNG 12-14 yr old girls going to raves in all-out sexy lingerie stuff & it sort of gives me the creeps. Even with the older girls, it just seems to enforce the whole "bumping n grinding" thing I hate about clubs.

@cockofduty4 And I don't hate all the current styles. I look around & my mind is blown at all the apocaplyptic roughnecks, glammed up neo-club kids, and the classic dirty/cutesy raver looks. It's just the occasional moment when I'm standing in the que, bored and waiting to get in I can't help but notice & think how lame it is that someone would wear flip flops and a backwards viser like they're at a frat party or something. Judgemental? Sure. But once I get inside I could care less!
