@powellskaterjc , this only works for soft clay to soft clay, if you are working with stiff, or leather-hard clay, then you need to score slip/magic water (50 water 50 cooking vinegar) like normal. This is a special technique, specifically for soft to soft clay attachment. The advantage is that you are not making your soft clay from becomming too soggy or too soft to work with when you add slip or water.
I was always taught to use a scoring method. It prevents you from making shallower spots in the clay base by pressing on it. And it's basically the same property as velcro.
not trying to be rood but that is an incorect method u should score it it takes half the time and insures stability
