I was so worried when I first watched this! I freaked out when I saw Jamie standing in the middle of the road!! I was like, "OMG what hapened?!!" Major freak out moment! And what was with Haley! She didn't even seem concerned at all? :D xxx
If Brooke would died, it would have made Peyton and Rachel realize how crappy they treated their friend when they were needed most. I could have imagined how Victoria would have reacted over losing her daughter.
Basically what I'm doing is watching all of my favourite scenes before the new season starts tomorrow. This scene was incredible. I for one, am not a Julian fan, but I am a huge Brooke fan, so I don't mind that they are together because she is happy. I find him boring but in this scene I thought he was spectacular. Nathan and Haley's reactions were spot on. They were in shock, they had no clue what was happening. They were too shocked to just breakdown. The music was spot on also. Love OTH. <3
The music was horrible. They definitely should have chosen something better. Anyway, whoever said Julian's acting was horrible- you're wrong. I just cried my eyes out
FOr a show that usually plays the perfect music for the perfect moments, they failed with this one.haha I would have thought they'd play a little bit of a better song here.
I agree that the music was crap, but it was a song that Psycho Katie put on and it gave it a creepy vibe to the entire scene. As crappy as the song selection was, I honestly didn't even notice it right away. I was on edge the entire time!!!! If Brooke died, I think the entire series would too. I love this scene and couldn't help but cry WITH Julian!!!!
:'( damn OTH always pulling at my heart strings!!! haha
wait...so basically everyone else on the cast had a near death experience or ended up in the hospital...but it took brooke until season 8? what is this?
I totally disagree about the music. Angel Flying to Close to the Ground is such a beautiful song and is DEFINITELY not a happy song. I thought the music chose was perfect and I def cried watching this
Here's what happened , Lauren was driving Jamie , Chuck and Madison home from the Spelling B and Their car fliped, brooke and julian were fighting so brooke drives away somewhere , stops and sees the car and gets chuck and madison into her car and lauren drives them to the hospital. Brooke is tryin to get jamie out , someone hits them into the water , julian goes in water & tries to save them. Now Brooke is tryin to fight her life.
If the scene stood alone, this would have been Mark's first music fail for sure. But because of Quinn's storyline with Katie it had to stay in; besides, this song was what was playing when Sara died, so it fits in a way. Though watching it on youtube by itself does make it weird. I'm sure more dramatic music would have been played if it didn't have to connect.
The music was used because of the other storyline in the episode. Music always carries over from storyline to story line like always. This song wasn't picked for this particular scene it was picked because of Quinn and Katie. I actually think it suits the scene really well. I did like Metics's song better but they couldn't just switch between the two songs when one works for both. This scene ALWAYS gets me though, simply because of Jilian.
Why does no one like the music? Angel Flying Too Close To The Ground? How was that a giveaway that she was going to live? I was actually really worried.
@TheRealAmandaBrady I agree! i loved the music, you also have to see the scene before where crazy katie is trying to kill quinn, which goes back to season 7 when they showed how sara died (clays wife). ever since then i've been in love with this song! Also it's not a happy song, listen to the lyrics, i felt that it went great with the scene!
@TheRealAmandaBrady exactly! cause the song is about this mans woman dieing.... so actually even thought this song was for quinn and katie..it was also really good for this scene, seeing as how julians woman was dieing... lol
@TheRealAmandaBrady I thought it was a terrible song choice at first, but when I saw this, I was still getting caught up on the series, not realizing why they had previously played it. Now I listen to it all the time.
Nathan Clay and Julian what were you thinking poor Ian but Ian didn't to it his father did will Nathan and Clay still have Ian as their client Please tell me what happened to Ian Kellerman So there might be a Oth Season 9 but why is James Lafftery only doing part time on Oth Season 9
I actually think the music was fine. It wasn't that happy and i definitely thought Brooke might die, but would they seriously kill off a main character after the who peyton/lucas loss... Nah I don't think so.
Anyone else think Haley didnt seem sad enough that her bestfriend of like, 10 years, is dying/dead? Julian, obviously upset. Nathan, shocked/distraught.. where as Haley.. I dunno, not so much.
I just saw this scene in a tribute to that episode with a beautiful piece of music. I didn't see season 8 yet so I was shocked, it was so sad and so perfect. And than I searched for the original clip and discover that this is the original music they put on it. Really?
My opinion about this scene completely changed just because of this music. It looked ridiculous, like they where putting together some stupid joke. Nice work OTH makers, you guys ruined a perfect scene with bad music!
OMG! i started to cry when i watched this! i was like nooooooo! Brooke cant die! but of course she came back! i would have stopped watching the show if they killed her of...
i don't understand why so people are saying the music was bad, it's relevance was because its the same music used for when sarah died, which proves how this can be used for another sad scene
The music was okay I mean it was sad specially when he started hitting the ground but yeah. I also think Haley and Nathan's reactions were okay. I mean they are in shock it's not like they will start crying right at the second lol in my opinion :p also we know she wouldn't die lols
I absolutely freakn love this episode. So intense. So when Nathan said "I'll be right back. Stay here" i was like "WOO! go Nathan!!" then I see him run 2 feet in frontnof him and I just died. Kinda angry that at least nathan couldn't hav helped. And Nathan and Haley reactions when they thought she was dead was kinda subtle. Nathan trembled a bit but I expected some tears lol. Watever. Luv this :D
Oh my god .. Nervous tears fell from my eyes .. I was so afraid for Brooke. The scene is incredible, Julian broke my heart. He looks so desperate... And Nathan's look, like a deep blue ocean. ♥
the music totally killed it. that was the only give away that she was most definitely going to live. because they would not have happy music in the background if she died. if the music was different this scene would have been so much better!!!! i still loved it thought. don't get me wrong
@kempokarate12 i agreed about the music i tried to remove the original song and to put a new one check it out if you want the link is is this video or you can just go to my account
@kempokarate12 I don't agree with you.I think this song was the best choise for this scene. It was also used in when Sara died and if you listen you can hear that this is not a happy song. Just listen to the lyrics. So i don't understand why you don't like it, I was crying like baby when Willie sings: "so leave me if you need to...".
@paszireka I'm sorry, I didn't honestly didn't mean to make you upset. I definitely heard the lyrics and they are VERY sad, but I tend to listen to the instruments more than the lyrics when it comes to background music, since I'm trying to hear what the actors are saying. @colibookworm Very very true. I guess it doesn't help that I don't like Quinn and Clay and think they do absolutely nothing for the show. So I don't really pay any attention to their story. Which is why the memory of Sara dieing to that song doesn't phase me as much. I don't know.
