just to let you know. if you let it memory dump it will harm your computer. when any body gets a blue screen and it shows its dumping phys memory. IMMEDIATLY hold the shut down button. this will make it not dump phys memory and will probably save your computer from harm. then what you need to do is get avast antivirus for free. once you finish the download the blue screen will pop up again. because avast fixes most things and the blue screen detects those kind of fixes. when restarted, run ascan
can someone help me ? my dell inspirion 1525 isnt working whenever i turn it on it says dell media direct and then right after if goes to a blue screen just like the one in the video BUT it has no words . i cant do anything someone please help !!
Hey Tiger ,I've been getting the blue screen of death. For the past few weeks, maybe my hard drive is going, have had it for 2 years now and lately when in the middle of watching a video or listening to music the screen pops up and then when I turn it back on I get a memory dump TXT in one of my folders.
looks like "m4_mini.sys" has something to do with it. either it's a corrupted file or it could be bad-sectors on your hard-drive where that file is written.
We get the BSOD often and it happens mostly when one of my family members just turns the PC off the wrong way by just clicking the power surge protector off instead of the proper way of shut PC down from the menu. I tell my family to turn the PC off through the menu because I am not fixing it but I am the one who always has to fix it even though that PC is not mines. So, it probably messed up because of inappropriate turning off . It messes up more during the summer when they just click off.
It's not the hard drive its the Ram i have same problem with my new system i wanted to reinstall windows and i got this blue screen i removed all of the rams and left one and it worked, then i tride other ram and i got the blue screen again so its the ram not the hard drive....
@ELTIGREROCKS10NEW when a correction of bad sectors doesn't help, which scanning a partial working drive can do, doesn't work, it's time to recycle and replace it!
I would advise DAISY CHAIN to a working computer sharing the OS type, you can access a WinME HDD from a WIndows XP running PC, I did so the other day!
you have a faulty driver. Basically that means lets say you have a 32 bit Operating system and a driver that is only compatable with an 86 bit Operating system. Also when you get the screen it usually points at a file, and in your case its nv4_mtnf. Sys (i think is what it says) so hunt down that file, and do some research. its not all that hard. In some cases it can be a corrupt file that can be deleted, OR you need to spend the money and replace the faulty driver. Case Closed ~moderndrummer717
what if i pay someone to fix it or try? like is there a fix still or no? because i really need my laptop......

It sounds like it is a driver error. Or it has something to do with m4_mini.sys.

remove the driver

Did you check your POST screen for SMART tech report? SMART on the drive typically warns you in advance your HDD is failing!
