  • Nice cardboard cutout, by the way... LOL!! Also, your brand name and logo are just awful. Change the brand to straight up "Zero", and you will have a winner. You can have that idea free of charge.

  • Testing unloaded wheel bearing friction means nothing in comparison with normally loaded wheels. Variation in rim weight and the rolling resistance/pressures of the tyres and rider weight makes your tests meaningless. The chain and rear changer rollers also have higher friction than the wheel bearings. Low friction is not a bad thing. Where it is dwarfed by other factors it becomes meaningless sales hype. Coasting tests on a standard hill with the same bike and rider would be far more useful.

  • Your confusing aerodynamic drag with bearing friction. If both wheels had the same bearings they would be almost identical in the number of rotations. The only two things that can stop the rotation quicker is higher drag caused by the spokes and the skin friction of the rim. The use of the fan is incorrect as you are using turbulent flow and the fans create a rotational flow. A proper wind tunnel and equipment is required to properly collect data.

    you can test your zipp wheels. Can your wheels turn 10 minutes without stopping? The conclusion is the same! Zipp wheels can't turn more than 3 minutes without stopping.

  • That, and one, none of us ride without a tire, and two, which wheel was heavier at the rim thusly having more momentum keeping the wheel rotating? The ZeroCX was a clincher and the Zipp was a tubular, not even the same design of wheel. Comparing apples to oranges. This test is an epic FAIL!

  • @CarbonWheels @CarbonWheels Actually, you're incorrect. Your test leave tons of variables open that effect the so called conclusion you are so desperately trying to reach. I have watched your "other videos". They are unscientific and not near real world conditions. FAIL! Zipp has put in the time money and effort to fully research aerodynamics. Go back to school, study the scientific method to proving a theory, because as these videos prove, you have no idea how to do this.

  • i couldn't but notice...the zipps didn't have the rim strip which exposed the holes at underside of nipples, meaning it catches the wind faster...the zeroCX...has a strip.

    i dont believe the test could be accurate...homemade and both wheels were not set up similarly.
