Paul Crouch should know that John MacArthur is one of the very few major preachers that preach the Truth Gospel. Now that David Wilkerson is gone, there aren't many big-name preachers there who are not scared of the real Gospel Jesus taught. Yes, I also would love to see John MacArthur talk in new languages, one from the Amazon tribes where its the only place in the world where the Gospel hasn't been preached yet. That's probably the only prophesy left to full fill, then the end will come!

Crouch is a poor judge of character. McArthur preaches thatt if Jesus is not Lord OF all He is not Lord AT all! This heresy denies the possibility of carnal Christians, backsliding or chastisement in the believer's life. Jesus said that a sinner must come as a child by faith. McArthur teaches that a sinner must come as an "adult" understanding theological truths and implications of sanctification, discipleship and maturity.. He confuses justification & sanctification .No assurance is possible.

I'm glad john macarthur wrote a book like charismatic chaos. It is right on line with what I have been thinking for years. There are two types of people when it comes to charismatics -the impressionable, and people like myself, who's internal buzzer goes off immediately at the red flags. I try not to judge, but I literally squirm in my seat with embarrasment and disbelief at some of this stuff. The message should be standard across the board, from beverly hills to undeveloped nations.

Most of this error comes from people giving a false definition to the word repent/repentance.

Check out who's doing the repenting in the Old Testament (KJV Bible). Do a keyword search for repent.

If we are told to preach repentance for the forgiveness of sins--Luke 24:47 and if Paul preached repentance to the Jews and the Greeks--Acts 20:21 with Acts 26:20 giving even a more appropriate backup that repentance is for Gentiles and it is a turning to God which means that we must turn away from our former way of life....

Right before that passage Jesus taught about hypocrites (proclaimed believers who do not really love God). I would hope that as people seeking the fulfillment of God's will we could talk and disagree on things like the proper use of "tounges" without sending fellow believers to hell. If we can't show God's love to one another how can we show the world? 1Cor 13:1 Love is most important!
