Yeah her website mentioned something about watering down the first pass for this competition (implying that the front full would be back for the summer meets).
Anyhow it's looking more and more as though UB and FX are her most inconsistent events (difficulty notwithstanding)... if she scores above a true 9.0 B-score on either event, it's pretty much pure luck. Who knows though - maybe she'll have: a)the UB series and dismount and b)the combination tumbling passes, all cleaned up by June.
i think its cause ub anf fx r the routines shes changed the most, thats y theyre not as consistent yet. for floor i think the last three passes r generally consistent for her, she only needs to fix the first one. and for bars, once she connnects the pak to the tchathev, the pac will b easier to do. also if youve noticed, usually the dismount is inconsistent only wen she has had to imporvise the routine (cause adding more skills makes her more tired and she has less endurance for the dismount)
Yeah - I tried to leave the door open for more consistency from her by the time summer arrives, but here's what I've seen: at PAC EF/Day 2 she missed her gienger and struggled thru the rest of her UB routine. Then she had more problems on FX. The point: will she have endurance problems in Beijing where she will have to do 4 UB and BB routines and two AA meets?
Tkatchev to pak may be real hard for her, would be wiser to do in-bar stalder full to pak (E-D) and go up by 0.3 in start value
yeah i think she completed it, but it looked a tad sloppy, i'm not sure how much they took off for it. her only MAJOR mistake was that one tumbling pass. otherwise GREAT JOb! she definetly deserved to win!
No she did not complete it and should not have gotten credit for it. If she did, she most certainly won't outside of the US. Floor is by far her worst event, it's tough to watch.
Because??? It's clear she did not complete the turn, and it's notorious that she gets scored higher in the US than out (just like every US gymnast). Nothing to do with being brave, it's common sense. You could use some.
she made the turn. her foot was facing the same way that it started. take a better look. and your are brave to be making rude and mostly untrue comments about someone who is clearly better than you. I love to see your lack of accuracy, it's amusing.
Nope, her leg clearly starts going down when she 1.5 around. I paused it and saw it. I'm trying to figure out where my untrue comments are. SHe didn't make the turn around, if you pause the video and look it's a fact. She wouldn't get credited outside the US, once again a fact. There's nothing inaccurate about what I'm saying.
That turn was around. She fell out if after her foot and leg at horizontal were around. It wasn't without deduction but she definitely would get credit for it. She did in event finals as well. It is much improved from 2007.
whatever this is gay, i'm not wasting my time with you...its stupid to be fighting over this, the judges did what they did and there is no changing it.
I can't wait to see her compete in Bejing! I think both her and Shawn Johnson have a shot at being on the podium!

this routine was great, except for the OOB, considering the little time she had to train for this event

i think she held up well at last years worlds with the endurance thing. she only had a couple of mistakes but so did everyone else
gymnast08ia 3 years ago
o also turbojon, there are 5 days in between qualifications and AA final and i think thats enough resting time for her (for fx)
gymnast08ia 3 years ago
good point, PAC was two days of back to back AA (excepting VT). Anyhow I sure hope you're right and that she goes twelve for twelve in Beijing!
