I first heard this song the original version by Idina Menzel, I'm used to the orchestra and the backup voices and Glinda singing with her, I'm not saying Lea is bad, she is awesome, I'm saying it sounds empty.

And I'll tell you why: when I hear idina singing it, with the original orchestra and the backups at the end of the song I get the chills. I didn't hearing this version.

I am guy and i can only sing the girl songs or kurt songs (no hate intended. i love kurt the most!) My voice cracks when i sing any guy song but faithfully, and thats the whole glee club. Any help?

@ps3man1998 hey :) I think this may help you... If u can't sing "guy songs" it might be because you're an "under" (sorry, i don't know if under is the world in english but i mean a man who sings high notes) . if u can't reach bass notes (low notes), the best thing u can do in my opinion is to vocalize. it's easy! do it everyday, or as often as you can, and you'll see how your voice improves! our voice is an instrument, such as guitars are for example, so you have to train!

@SofaSulki Well Its alright. I guess the best word in english would be soprano or something but I think it is just a phase of puberty. I am in 7th grade, so it is likely that is why. I love singing high notes, it makes me feel good inside, if that makes sense. It gives me a sense of satisfaction and individuality.

They were born with squeaky voices, and no matter how many voice lessons they take to "tame" their shrill sound, they will still sound essentially the same. And it's NOT Idina Menzel who's the Queen of Squeaky Voices -- it's the legendary Aretha Franklin, who ironically sounds like the one who idolizes her, American Idol "Donald Duck on steroids"-voiced Fantasia Barrino.
