Kiitos. Upea ääni. Paras suomalainen naislaulaja. Miten hän muuten osasi lausua englantia noin hyvin? Onko tälle jotain selitystä (muutakin kuin ruotsinkielinen lapsuus Ruotsissa)? Onko Laila Kinnunen levyttänyt tätä biisiä? En ainakaan löytänyt pk-seudun kirjastosta Helmet . fi.
And it's interesting that enough people in Finland would be considered fluent in English for songs like this to be performed that way, for the general public.
This song was originally published in the 1920s, but became popular again when Connie Francis recorded it in the early '60s.
@hebneh Laila Kinnunen not only does the song, but does the first intro part that the 1958 Connie Francis hit left out. Although Connie had the hit version and was the best selling female artist (she may still be), Laila Kinnunen's version has it beat.
Thanks for posting ... it's sad that masterpieces like this are dusting in the YLE basement. Fortunately there's this forum (and Elävä arkisto) to showcase them!
These songs from Laila are from the Late 50's early 60's Thanks Finland

Ei näyttäisi olevan levytetty tätä - ei ainakaan löytynyt Suomen äänitearkiston tietokannasta...

Good teased hairdo; good shiny black vinyl coat.
Strange-looking artificial trees.
