Education in this country USED to be great (like it is in Japan today). Education in this country USED to be great (like it is in Japan today). I remember how shocked my dad was when I told him that in addition to our lunch break that we got a 45 min. break for donuts every morning. Our leaders want votes and would like to see higher test scores. It's our educators, ALL OF WHICH make over $100,000 dollars a year that have deemed ALL children uneducable.

when I first saw this video I was shocked at how Carlin wasn't even trying for laughs! It is brilliant commentary and spot on. I believe we are at the apex of this exponential curve that is crashing down like a tsunami. Y'all enjoying the ride? If you actually listen to him, he talks about how separated the middle and upper class are...and all Occupy Wall St. is doing is having people grab the edges of that hole, and rip them even farther apart. The Big Club is a very small group of people who are uber wealthy, it is a huge base of wealth and the BIG POWER that goes with that wealth.
