  • all you people voting get promised the world and fall for it everytime. you dont have too stand for it.

  • @TheRyjones88 Yep and hes the reason I never have and never will vote. Love george!!!!!!!!

  • George is right and that ain't no bullshit he's talking. A lot of sleepy people out there still voting for the same old stooges and refuse to accept any real criticsm of our country. And piss on the Dems as well as the GOP--traitors ALL! The sell-out is so bad--50 years ago we lead the world in every field of human endeavor BAR NONE, now? The Chinese are kicking our ass and it's our satanic shit leaders who had us all slamming down McFuck burgers in front of our TV's while they stole the farm.

  • @NoGuff Yes, but what were your choices? Between bad and worse? They know a write in candidate will never win anything. The people who get elected are the ones with the most money to throw at campaigning. And who are the ones with the most campaign money? The ones who cowtow to their corporate campaign donors. Wake up!

  • @gotham61

    "what were your choices"

--Anyone I want. Do you not understand writing in a candidate? We are free, you do realize that, don't you?

"a write in candidate will never"

--Funny how the Ron Paul supporters don't believe that when they urge others to write him in after he loses the primary race, again. A write-in win is possible if enough people do it..

"who are the ones with the most ... money?"

    --Democrats.

"The ones who cowtow to their corporate ... donors"

    --Like Solyndra?

  • @NoGuff The total number of write in candidates who have won national office in the 236 history of the Nation can be counted on the fingers of one hand.

"who are the ones with the most ... money?"

    --Democrats."

I'm not picking sides. Both parties are totally corrupted by money.

    Keep drinking the Kool-Aid.

  • @NoGuff Listen simpleton. Your "owners" are running a rigged casino where the house ALWAYS wins. The last time your "owners" were threatened in a serious election was during Ross Perot's campaign. And what happened? Your "owners" changed the rules making it virtually impossible for a 3rd party to compete. If a write in ever threatens their casino, guess what will happen? The rules will change once again. Now sit your ass down.

  • @RedDelPaPa

    "Listen simpleton"

--Thanks, wise old fucking sage. If you're so smart and I'm such a simpleton why aren't you in office right now doing things the right way? Granted I did have "owners" when I was a Liberal and voted for Clinton & Gore, but I've tossed them off when I switched my brain into the "ON" position.

    "making it virtually impossible "

--And how did "they" do that, exactly?

"The rules will change once again"

    --How, exactly?

    "Now sit your ass down"

    --Go fuck yourself

  • @NoGuff well yeh you're right. You have missed just one point. All candidates are sponsored by the same offshore corporate banks so it does not really matter who you vote for.

  • @fearlessftw

Which ones? I thought foreign contributions were illegal. Personally I think they should be. But I won't condemn anyone from accepting them if its currently legal.

All of them also take campaign contributions from the same domestic banks, investment banks, oil companies, manufacturers, retailers, and other major businesses. You see, they're Americans and they can contribute to campaigns of their choosing, just like you can.

  • @NoGuff It'd be naive to think that the contributors you mentioned like Goldman Sachs would donate millions of $ just because they'd like the message without expecting any kickback. Halliburton for example has made a lot off the gulf war that is why they'd never ever want a person like Dr.Paul inside the White House because he'd end all the wars. Imagine, you run a corporation and want to make money, paying a politician that'd help you once he's in seems like a good idea, doesn't it?

  • @fearlessftw

"Goldman Sachs would donate millions ... without expecting any kickback"

--And they got it. Did I claim they did not? Goldman-Sachs isn't a bank, it's an investment firm, they buy&sell stocks/bonds, etc. They're market gamblers. They should've been allowed to go into bankruptcy.

    "Halliburton for example"

--Haliburton dontated to Clinton's campaign, then got no-bid contracts. But you Ron Paul dips & Liberals (essentiall the same thing) never ever complain about that.

  • @fearlessftw

"they'd never ever want a person like Dr.Paul inside the White House"

    --No one does.

"paying a politician that'd help you once he's in seems like a good idea"

--And paying both politicians running for the same office is a better idea. That's what I was talking about.

  • @NoGuff Your choice is an illusion, thats what he was saying.

  • @Premiess80

And I disagree. Just because there is compromise by a small group of people who represent a larger group doesn't mean they're all in cahoots to make our choices moot. Carlin was attributing the wrong disease to the symptoms.

  • @NoGuff Ok good luck voting:)

  • @NoGuff you didn't understand the premise did you.. i think you need to develop yourself before you post in public again.

  • @iamcarmoda

No, I do understand the premise, I just find its full of holes and flawed But of course, like the typical Liberal, you'd rather insult me than consider a valid opinion that disagrees with your own.

  • @NoGuff yeah you voted because you were promised the world and fell for it. wake up asshole

  • @NoGuff are you seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerious? Go back to sleep bitch

  • @TazKhan786

No, the question is, are you serious? Unbelievable.

  • Did they get to George??? He died fairly young. RIP!!!Made a lot of sense!!

  • @TheLadyjazzy1 bill died younger...

  • @TheLadyjazzy1 He was 71. Not really old, but not exactly a kid.

  • Oh hell, it's nice to hear what I've been saying for years. Only Carlin does it with feeling.

  • his last comment about the american dream...funny, this morning when i looked on CNN i saw a speech obama had, and the title said something like this, "NO CHALLENGE IS MORE URGENT THAN KEEPING THE AMERICAN DREAM ALIVE" !!!!... NO SHIT EH???, in other words, its pretty fucken urgent for them, to keep us all in the fucken dark!!! GET OUT OF AMERICA PRONTO!

  • @ovechkin100 RE:"Get out of America pronto!" - That reminds me of the scene in V for Vendetta, when Evey is talking about her parents: "Mom wanted to leave the country... Dad refused, he said if we ran away, they would win."

So, the choice... should you stay or should you go? My opinion is of Auron's from FFX: "Now is the time to choose! Die and be free of pain, or live and fight your sorrow. Your fate is in your hands!"

  • Apparently 9 bankers disliked this video.

  • @MostlyCrude stubborn willfull ignorants did

  • He would have endorsed Ron Paul for President.

  • @Dan474834 This is really baffling... please explain in what way Ron Paul and his policies help promote the interests of workers and the underprivileged over those of big business, because I just don't see it.

  • @mschneiderg it doesn't. It would systematically fuck the American workers in ways we haven't even conceived of yet.

  • @Dan474834 Why would he have endorsed someone if he didn't even vote?

  • @dfbhcf There was nobody to vote for before Paul showed up.

  • Can someone please tell me what year and program/channel this aired on?

  • @giftedindividuals HBO "Life Is Worth Losing"

    You can buy the DVD.

  • No joke, who the fuck disliked this?

  • @MostlyCrude according to the ipadres - HRH Elizardbeth, HRH Beatrix BilderBorg, GHBush, George (bonerboy) Bush, B Liar, 3 chinese people, 2 russians & a german.

  • This isn't a joke.

  • Carlin made the wakeup call that we are answering today. And they gave him cancer for it.

  • @AnfoMerc Carlin never had cancer.

  • its called the american dream, and you gotta be asleep to believe it!

    Ron Paul 2012

  • @ryanindy124 How does Ron Paul challenge big business interests? Isn't he completely against all forms of government intervention?

  • @mschneiderg Yep. And apparently that's bad for business.

Ron Paul, like his supporters, is either naive or completely insane.

  • can you say "the 53%"

  • that why the Occupation is around now! go to your local site and participate!

  • Suggest something that the audience can dp is important to any provocation. Can anyone follow up with a suggestion for actions?

  • holy shit...there's so much truth in this.

  • RIP George, I hope your ghost haunts that fat cunt cohen at wmg.

  • who can kill the truth?

  • OMG!!! He was totally spot on! Why are any of these idiots clapping? He wasn't joking.

  • @lazer1million

    it is called supporting

  • 7 people are comatose.

  • Oh George, if only you could see how bad things have gotten since you left us...

  • 7 Wall Street CEOS watched this.

  • the man was a legend....I got what ya meant George....

  • Well informed people, capable of Critical thinking are what the Republican-corporate-information spin machine labels "Intellectual Elite".

Occupy your own mind, then occupy your town and Nation!

  • @AnotherWayFilms Yes. They're trying to make the word "intellectual" a negative, as they have with "liberal" and "socialist." Here in Massachusetts, a recent ad attacked Democrat (and Harvard Professor) Elizabeth Warren by quoting her statement that she helped lay the intellectual foundation for the Occupy movement, then saying something like "we don't need intellectual theories . . . " - the right wing has given up any pretense of respecting the human mind, science or critical thinking.

  • Now we need a Stargate team, as it feels like we’re that civilization on that sand planet in the movie, that was forbidden to read so they won’t get smart.

  • This is a festival of truth! Americans have always been the most freedom loving people! Youtube"the american dream cartoon" and "terrorstorm"

  • Seven of the bastards on Wallstreet disliked this.

  • Oh good grief. He exactly says that he supports a populace movement, as OWS is. But actually arguing about this is ridiculous as he's not here so there never will be resolution. I'd guess by his statements that the crazydude doesn't get what's happening. This isn't political. "A pox on both your houses." That said, OBAMA 2012!!

  • @tifosagal

you're a fucking imbecile. go back to sleep.

  • Education in this country USED to be great (like it is in Japan today). I remember how shocked my dad was when I told him that in addition to our lunch break that we got a 45 min. break for donuts every morning. Our leaders want votes and would like to see higher test scores. It's our educators, ALL OF WHICH make over $100,000 dollars a year that have deemed ALL children uneducable.

  • Not Funny, but I listened to every word.

  • when I first saw this video I was shocked at how Carlin wasn't even trying for laughs! It is brilliant commentary and spot on. I believe we are at the apex of this exponential curve that is crashing down like a tsunami. Y'all enjoying the ride? Perhaps we are poised to trend toward Anarchism, a decentralized/localized control and a de facto abolition of currency. After all it was money that got us into this mess, and money won't get us out without more of the same boom and bust ad infinitum.

  • George Carlin would LOOOOVE Occupy WallStreet! He is the hero of this movement!!

  • @tifosagal No, he absolutely wouldn't. If you actually listen to him, he talks about how separated the middle and upper class are...and all Occupy Wall St. is doing is having people grab the edges of that hole, and rip them even farther apart. What we need to do is make some common ground and bring the two sides closer together, not demonize one side

  • @crazydude561 Crazydude561, the OWS protests are in line with what Carlin is talking about. The Big Club is a very small group of people who are uber wealthy, it is a huge base of wealth and the BIG POWER that goes with that wealth. That OWS is an effort to point this out and people want to ask the obvious questions. You want the two sides to come together? Do you want Democracy or Oligarchy? And you want a Kumbaya moment? Carlin was a fan of Keith Olbermann, do you homework.

  • @PatheticHero George Carlin would have wanted a movement with a clear, achievable goal, and a leader (He would have been awesome for it), not just an angry mob that's doing nothing but breeding even more hostility between the classes.

  • @crazydude561 You seem to know a great deal about someone who is deceased. I suggest that you're projecting your own desires and not Carlin's. After reading his books and watching his standup he comes across as more of an Anarchist than a Dem, Repu, Grn or Libertarian. The standup in question above he leans heavily toward anarchy and I believe his message to be: YOU CAN'T TRUST AUTHORITY. Carlin last voted in 1972. He has never said anything about a clear and concise message. U have no evidnc

  • @tifosagal oh Carlin has been warning us of this for decades, we knew what he was talking about in the '60's/'70's, he could foresee then that the standard of living for middle class was at risk, he knew the powers that be were really the war machine and Wall Street , and here we are today, kids are worse off than their own parents

  • George is so RIGHT! WE all need to FREE ourselves from GOVT,, WALLSTREET and the BANKS. Become Your Own Banker!!!!

  • Truer words never spoken!

  • Americans have been dumbed down and overmedicated to revolt.

  • People have started to notice and people have started to care.

  • Obvious that 99% of the Americans who laughed at this bit by George Carlin were not smart enough to understand that he was not just telling jokes. So of course his warnings were ignored and things ware far worse today than they were when he did this bit.

  • @Daveatheist He reminds me a lot of my grandpa, he knew about the owners and always told people about the planned economic collapse and the new world order and everybody laughed at him. Now it's happening.

Me, same deal. But i get to see the show :D

  • @Ruttie2 He reminds me of my 85 year old Dad, he grew up during Great Depression, always warning me about "the man" taking people with high interest rates and balloon mortgages

  • @Daveatheist the 99% are the 99% for a reason

  • @Daveatheist these are Carlin fans, they knew exactly what he was saying, he's preaching to the choir. The unfortunate ones are those who are against "hippies" and their own best interests who would never go to this educational show

  • @Daveatheist Some of us do know that George Carlin was more of a realist than a comedian- it is quite depressing.

  • @Daveatheist Thank you for your spot-on comment.

  • This was a great monologue. But Mr. Carlin got one thing very, very wrong.

It's not a BIG club. It's a very SMALL club. It's a very SMALL club that isn't interested at all in bringing in any new members on board.

  • @froems1 All the ones at the top avoid tax, they contribute to the military complex. So who is the real enemy? Your ego becomes your biggest enemy, it's human nature.

  • I was thinking about becoming a public speaker until I paused it on :28

    Yikes!!!!

  • If voting ever changed anything they would make it illegal

  • @Skrimpish well said...

  • Very true! America first needs a mental revolution because sadly too many of us still worry about the crap instead of the real social issues that negatively affect their lives. It's actually funny to watch and listen to the idiots out here act like brainwashed sheep, example in hip-hop you have this new phrase "I'm a boss" and everybody delusion-ally calls themselves that despite having to wake up in the morning to work for someone else LMAO! It's crazy but it's done to try to keep us asleep.

  • @TheTruthSlave - "thats the whole point of the protests , the younger generation DONT accept the bullshit and corruption"

You're a fucking idiot. "They don't accept"? You're a total fucking retard. Dipshits like you have NO answers. You're Useful Idiots. You're beyond stupid from indoctrination. You're just a parrot who mouths the slogans that someone else wrote. You're too stupid to know what corruption means or how it's created.

Unions are the most corrupt but you say nothing.

  • How bout this Corp criminals... "WE DON"T MAKE MONTHLY PAYEMENTS"? "WE TELL YOU TO GO FUCK YOURSELF"...GET THE PICTURE?

  • "it's called the american dream , cause u have to be asleep to believe it"... touché..

  • Its a simple choice between fear and love. Fuck these cocksuckers and their fear, radiate love forever.

  • And I never thought about joining such a criminal club..... . Does anybody believe they can suddeed with that? I believe they´re done. It´s all a matter of time. The sheeple awake.

  • WAKE UP AMERICA........ DO NOT let the Establishment, Democrat OR Republican NOR the News Media tell you what to think. VOTE SAMM TITTLE into Office. SHE IS ONE OF US FOR ALL OF US......and THIS TIME "Obama LOSES!" 'We the People' WIN!!!" DONATE to YOUR CAMPAIGN. THIS ELECTION is FOR YOU!

  • @chunkyjustice it doesnt work like that over here, we dont rely on our parents for handouts AT ALL, most teens have jobs and pay their way at home as it should be. protests show the volume of people who are awake, the protest numbers are getting bigger and more regular. its a wide variety of ages who protest, the young and the old, simply because whats going on in our governments affects EVERYBODY. Weather the protests have the desired outcome or not it lets the gov know WE KNOW whats going on

  • @chunkyjustice thats the whole point of the protests , the younger generation DONT accept the bullshit and corruption, theres protests going on everyday all over my country for the month of july, the controlled media wont see it televised though. are u actually telling me how i should spell? in case u havent notcied, we are not in school and what im writing is not being graded, EVERYBODY shortens their words on the internet so il pass no apologies

  • @chunkyjustice who do u think i am,, martin luther king, get a grip on your life,WHAT ARE YOU DOING to change the world?? not a thing!! and as 4 that "kids in their 20's" statement, they are the future u absolute gobshite!!! u havent a clue whats going on around u, bet u were the kid staring out the window and scratching your arse instead of paying attention and learning you disinfo fuckin fool, now go on comment about my cursing u predictable piece of shit. your FUCKED TA TA

  • @chunkyjustice what am i GOING to do?? its more like what i HAVE DONE, iv been 2 numerous protests this month alone, i inform EVERY1 i know & people i dont know of whats REALLY going on around us, what have u done?? besides sit behind a computer and DENY FACTS. of course Carlin used the stage he was on 2 inform people, that was his job, being on stage, he could hardly storm gov buildings, those are the corrupt 1s. it was his duty as a man in the spotlight to enlighten people &thats what he did

  • @chunkyjustice ignorant, its the likes of YOU who will suffer, knowledge is power , ignorance is shameful

  • @chunkyjustice that top level intellect was obviously wasted on you

  • Can we replace the Pledge of Allegiance with this?

  • they want "Homer Simpson"s

  • @fettesco and Peter Griffins.

  • Hits a homerun. Time to kill the rich and all politicians.

  • Bless our oligarchy

  • Gawd I loved that guy and still do! Ya had it right long before we realized it! Thanks for all ya gave us!

  • @capecod456 Well said.

  • the funny thing is looking at some of the posts that relate to this being bullshit, let me tell you this, i took a class this sememster in college called contemporary american society and this whole thing is the entire firest chapter of the book. so to say this is bullshit is to show your ignorance. and you are in fact the ones he is talking about.

  • Sounds like the ramblings of an old mad man to me.

  • Everything he says is true but he's too hopeless. We need to fight back, we need to organize, we need to join the unions.

  • 'You must be carefully taught to hate

before you are 6 or 7 or 8,

to hate all the people your relatives hate,

you must be carefully taught.' - South Pacific

    Rock on, George!

  • Yea, and all these people get together and have these bug meetings and talk about how to screw everyone... Im glad this fucker is dead

  • @a5sarola ignorant faggot

  • Really miss George - His Integrity and Honesty is need now.

  • @agnoses I'll be glad when you're dead!

  • the blame game of the two party syatem keeps the people divided and fighting with eachother works great for politicians, when we statrt seeing each other as American and not as republican, democrat, or liberal but as a whole vs government officials we might get somewhere in the meantime OBEY and go back to your TV.

  • This man is such an inspiration, amazing

  • Don't rest in peace George, live on through these words. Live on and keep hammering the point home with humor mixed with anger because America needs you now more then it ever has.

  • RIP

  • I'm in this club and it's amazing. Suck it fags.

  • @tf2weekly Hate to tell you, no one in the club spends their time trolling youtube and making TF2 videos with barely 100 views.

  • @matchles81 Everything starts with nothing my friend. You have much to learn.

  • @tf2weekly I guess; starting with what you are trying to communicate. If you mean everyone starts with nothing, then you are wrong. Nobody in the club he's talking about is a self made man. Unless you are in line to inherit billions from your parents you are not part of the club. Not now, not ever.

  • SPEAK!

  • he should have been president

  • You guys all miss the point. You whine about legal corporations and legal monopolies but say nothing about coercive ones. Moreover, the US IS A CORPORATION. Look it up in the Fed Code.

US CODE: Title 28,3002. Definitions (15) "United States" means — (A) a Federal corporation; (B) an agency, department, commission, board, or other entity of the United States; or (C) an instrumentality of the United States.

  • @510shredder Yes, but corporation might not be exactly companies that we commonly call corporation. A corporation can be a group of people under a common law, that is, a country.

  • @Panter4 Look up the Act of 1871. America is not a country, it's a corporation. We don't even use our organic constitution.

  • @510shredder OK, thanks, I will. But what do you consider to be the difference between a country and a corporation?

  • @Panter4 A country is supposed to have laws, and is supposed to be run by a government. Our country is not, it's run by a small handful of people, primarily ONE ****ing family (that OWNS the Fed....and the ECB), and THAT is who our government answers to, not the people. Moreover, as soon as the US switches to international law (which BO has someone in his admin who's pushing for this), there are a whoooole slew of laws and **** that will then BE the law that most ppl are totally oblivious to.

  • The Kochsuckers own the Tea Party.

Tea baggers are just too stupid to figure that out.

  • This was recorded in March 2008, just months before the governments of US and Europe bailed out the banking systems and sold out everyone's future. George saw this coming. Rest in peace.

  • @Mojuggernaut This one was actually back in 2005, from Life is Worth Losing.

  • Anyone who doubts the truth of this can take a look at what the fascists in Wisconsin are trying to do.

  • @cugamer I agree with you entirely. Those Tea Partiers talk much about freedom, while they are literally stripping the teachers and other federal workers of their freedom to negotiate. This Walker is a tyrant. I compare him to Gaddafi in Libya.

  • @cugamer or what Rick Snyder is now doing in Michigan

... or what ANY politician in America is doing

  • Truth.....

  • This is great!

  • He's right about Social Security. The raid is coming and you can see it a mile away.

  • It's almost like listening to Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King speak. When you hear truth, the lines drawn by the powers that be begin to blur. And so begins love and unity.

  • @properbeatz Brilliantly put! The last sentence(s) specifically!

  • and of course, he died of natural causes while he was doing this tour. I'm no mathematician but if you x 900 to 2000 people per night, talking to friends etc, he would have have some momentum with this shtick.

  • Viacom, WMG, Sony, News Corporation, NBC, call them what you want...

But George was right! They are all in "The Big Club"... and we ain't in it.

"Now that is what is called being STUNNINGLY... and EMBARASSINGLY... FULL OF SHIT!" - George Carlin 1937-2008

  • Of course You Tube used to allow WMG and Sony songs. That is why you dont hear or see the original studio recordings of the songs like this one. The companies think they are protecting their own interests but what they are actually doing blocking the very people who put the money in their own bank account books. Really ungratefully stupid on their part. It is the public fan of their products that put them where they are today. They are cutting off the very people support who made them.

  • This is hands down my favorite Carlin show/album of all-time.

  • He performs like Walter Huston

  • George Carlin... A TRUE Libertarian.

    R.I.P

  • Comment removed

  • I noticed something tonight while watching a (recent) clip of Cosby on Letterman. George was so sharp and good till the very end end. Miss you man. Hope you and Hunter are having fun.
