@EnglanEOfficial They sold a few of them in a Chester music shop back in around '97-'98, there was a semi-hollow Gibson with the roses on, another I can't remember and a plain black Gibson Les Paul. I now own the Les Paul :-)
Oh my god. How beautiful does Paul look here!? *SWOON* So gorgeous. I'm happy to say that I'm re-discovering the genius of Mansun after all these years! 'Attack of the Grey Lantern' is still one of my favourite albums, bought it the day it came out! <3
TFI was brilliant, used to watch it before going out on a friday night, got you in the mood for clubbing and have a few drinks, like most things in the 90's it's never been replicated.
Bring back TFI.. it was fuckin brilliant.. great bands funny stuff...freak-or-unique.. what ever happened to our good tv..ah thats it..political correctness..bolloksed it all up..
@bucephalus00 amen dude... i was born '89 and thus not really old enough to have been listening to the music in its time. still i find today's music just doesn't cut it when compared to '90s britpop for example. i mean take kings of leon and the killers for example... they're the biggest bands in the world and their music doesn't speak to me at all
Lol, I remember wondering how they got the girls voice to morph into a guys so smoothly. Then I saw the video and was blown away at draper's vocal range.
reminds me of waking up one misty easter sunday morning at a hockey festival exactly where i'd passed out in the club bar the night before! This was playing on the radio as i awoke from my slumber!! Ahhh... good times!
The Attack Of The Grey Lantern, Mansun's debut album, CHANGED MY LIFE. Every epic track and concept was genius and still is in 2009 and 3009 and beyond. Its like a great Classical Piece. End of story!
the first i herd and seen them was the most unlikely gig. they were supportin Page and plant(Led Zepplin) in the point in Dublin in 1998 six was just out. They were class and that was me hooked.
This was the first time I saw Mansun, and I thank Chris Evans for beinging them to my attention.
As for people feeling sorry for them - it's probably because, like so much great talent, they were nowhere near as huge as they should have been - largely overlooked in favour of the latest Oasis album or whatever.
I miss Mansun so much. Hope Paul Draper brings out an album soon. He has such a great voice! 1 of my fav tracks was 'Disgusting'. Any1 else like that 1?
I don't know why you have to feel sorry for Mansun?
I do feel sorry with all the shitty post-brit-yaaawn bands are still out nowadays, without a clue about how to make good songs, with no voice and no talent! Not feeling sorry for Mansun. They had their days, they truly rocked the world and that's what I will think, forever... Only love (and Mansun) remains... ^_^
HAPPY 15TH BIRTHDAY, ATTACK OF THE GREY LANTERN! :D <3

AOTGL perfect comedown ablum \o/ rah!
You could not stop listening to this album.
It was created like a house mix CD. Seamingless with no fade in or outs.
A relflection of the times where most people in the UK were listening to house music and brit pop/rock.

@bucephalus00 do not jump the gun brother, they still borrow heavily from the true new wave eighties... at least the guitar bands,

I used to love Mansun...I bought their CD Attack of the Grey Lantern and I remember thinking that it sounded extremely dark for a 15 year old girl!
