The reason why was freddy messed his hearing aid which caused it amplify the sound decibels to a point where it was harmful to carlos, so when he heard the nails drop it was almsot like a bomb going off with each single nail, then he used a chalkboard to cause his head to burst, which was ouch.

OK, this part wasn't the best in the series. The first half of the movie was boring and silly but the 2nd one was really cool. The idea with Freddy's daughter was creative & intriguing. Anyway the best character was Tracy (Lezlie Deane). She reminded me Alice (played by Lisa Wilcox) from previous 2 ANOES films. Alice was superb. I loved the ending very much
