But it does, as the KA 50 excells at everything imaginable over the Apache, and yes i might have sounded offensive, but merely because you havent seen the fact that the Apache AND the Hind havent been proven in real combat, as Iraq/Afghanistan dont count, and as such neither is really proven against a real military force. I belive that either side useing helicopters would suffer terrible losses but the Hind is merely more survivable as a transport, and doesnt have to run away from a fight.

Im sorry to say this, but the Apache is a peice of American shit, just like the Abrams. An Apache cant take an RPG neither can a Blackhawk, while a Hind or similar can. Stinger would be one. It will take down any helicopter gunship flown by any 3rd world country, such as a Mi24. My uncle served as a Soviet Mi24 Pilot. His orders were to run down entire villages, and he lost a dozen friends to the Stinger Missile.

They have them and they would use them and an Apache would fare no better then the Hind or KA 50 (52) against them, because you might have flares but chances are they have more missles then your flares. And like i said below none of them has been proven in a real war against a properly equiped and trained fighting force. No doubt the Hind would be harder to kill then a Blackhawk but they both would end up in smoking wrecks any way.

The difference being is that US has over 700 Apaches, and Russia has less than 30 Ka50/52s.

Either way you look at it, higher speeds, twin propellers, or ejector seats won't make up for that difference.

All helicopter are vulnerable to MANPADS to a certain degree, but there is no reason why the AH-64D would be more durable or less of a target than the Hind as many western military analysts say. Besides hinds have IR filters and flares so it's quite safe to assume that it's ready to face most threats, even though it does not carry chaff radar CMs it's equipped with the SPO-15 Berjoza RWR. So I'd say with rational usage and good tactics it's as good as any other attack helicopter today.
