  • its a bit like shagging ya ex. once its gone you want it all the more and you crave it so much youd give anything to have it one last time , you build it up and up then when you have it your pissed off cause its shit and it ruins the memories you kept sacred for so long . its like that with the roses. im fucking praying its as good as hope it will be .

  • Sally Cinnamon is such a great tune but if you like this you should search:

THE VINYLS-GET IT OUT OF YOUR HEAD

It only takes 3min and this band are definitely worth checking out!

  • When a fan once asked Noel Gallagher who the Sally was in 'Don't Look Back In Anger" he replied 'Sally Cinnamon' referring to this song. Although he wasn't being serious, I thought it was pretty fitting :)

  • @JAMEZZZ2013 In the concert DVD "There and Then", at the end of Acquiesce, he plays the guitar intro from this song. Stone Roses were a big influence on Oasis.

  • Can't believe Brown wrote most of the lyrics in this song!!! it was a crime for Brown not to chip in the songwritting for Second coming!

  • I named my snake sally cinnemon after this song :) like you all wanted to know :P

  • I'm only 17 so missed the magic of the original Roses, but fuck me I'm looking forward to seeing them together. Been to see numerous tribute acts (one to bear in mind is Definitely MightBe- Oasis and Roses tribute, fucking brilliant) to see some of the madness, and I've never seen anything like it so can't wait to see the real lot together again!

  • i swear the stone roses could fart down the mike and i would rather buy it then most songs in the charts these days.

  • its just a great feelin that there's is so much talent in england now based on the fact that these fellas inspired them??

  • @dwl1973 Yeah and the fact their back means there will be a hell of alot more!!!

  • who gives a fuck who inspired who this tune is magical just an instant feeling of happiness when i hear it lets just chill and enjoy what we hear

  • I like Oasis and Stone Roses equally as much, But all you people saying one are better than the other, is ridiculous. Let's face facts though, without the Stones roses (Or the Smiths) Oasis wouldn't even have happened, Which Noel has stated countless times.

  • COME ON PEOPLE THE STONE ROSES AND OASIS ARE BOTH AMAZING, TAKE THEM BOTH OUTA LAST TWENTY YEARS, THEY BOTH SAVED THE UK MUSIC SCENCE, IMAGINE IT WITHOU THEM, SO JUST BE GLAD OF BOTH, AND CELEBRATE NOELS ALBUM AND ROSES SECOND COMING NOW.

  • @harrison1828 couldnt agree more

  • the smiths smash the stone roses, still love the roses all the same.

  • 17 new stuffs

  • Oasis my arse. Not fit to lace The Roses boots.

  • summer evenings in the park with your mates couple of biftas sally blasting out of some ghetto blaster mint memorys cant wait for heaton park get in.............

    4. Courteeners

    5. New Order

  • one my fave stone roses song :O7

  • @28larss...yeah aside from the fact that Morrissey is completely wedged up his own arse and most of the Smiths best output can't hold a candle to say, for example, I am the resurrection and even a lot of Roses B-sides....yes it is subjective....for me the Smiths are generally too wacky for their own good - lyrically superior to the roses of course, but for overall impact I would rate the smiths like a diluted orange juice where the roses are a good single malt whiskey, but that's just me.

  • annieindie your 123 is backwards plus james better

  • 300 thumps up, we want more!!

  • beautiful! beautiful! what more can i say? :)

  • @Annieindie - Well IMHO, I Wouldn't put Ian Browne in the same League as Noel Gallagher when it comes to Songwriting - This song is Pathetic Lyrically, as well as "Ten Story Love Song" and "She Bangs the Drums" - His best lyrics came later on.

The Smiths were Special and are The Greatest Band ever, and from the shit thats about these days, It seems they always will be the Greatest!

Morrissey & Marr bouncing off a Wonderful Rhythm Section of Joyce & Marr!

Once in a Lifetime Kind of Brilliance!

  • @28larss yeah youre right mate ian brown could never write lyrics as amazing as "round are way the girls are minging" or "my dogs been itching, itching in the ktchen once again" or even "she's got one in the oven but it nothing to do with me". and before any oasis fans start slagging me off, i absolutely love them, i was just pointing out to this guy that not all noels lyrics were great

  • @shebangsthedrums89

But Noel's written hundreds of songs, about 30 to 40 are great, in my opinion that's more than Ian Brown has written.

  • @28larss - Ian Brown isn't a songwriter, he's a lyricist. There's a difference.

  • Couldn't be arsed imposing my particular taste on people just enjoying listening to a fucking belting song by a group the likes of which I fear we may never see again. Why do people put music into fucking lists etc it doesn't make one band better then the other it's all subjective if you're even listening to this you obviously have better taste then most people so stop putting numbers besides bands names and enjoy the fucking tune.

  • @stevebruce13

Couldn't agree more. Take a look at my music likes on my channel, eclectic to say the least. I can go from the Roses, to Hawkwind, Pink Floyd, Talking Heads to classical. Hate it when people try and claim "the best band ever", all I know is my favourite bands... and readily accept they might not be the next guy's favourite. Although recognising superior musicianship is another story, and I struggle to find many 'indie' bands today with the quality of Squire, Reni and Mani.

  • @GhibliFan1 Despite the fact I say Oasis are the 'best band ever', I merely mean they are my favourite ever. I totally agree with what you say skin, love a bit of everything me so I suppose you can say people like us are music fans rather than fans of a particular artist/genre, and it'd be nice to see a few more people like it.

  • @stevebruce13 We will see them again now! ;)

  • @GreyRose93 ian brown has succumbed to the ££££££££££££££

  • @TheGalwayFarmer Oh well, it's the fact they're back together that counts

  • @TheGalwayFarmer Who cares? when so much good is gonna come from it!

  • @stevebruce13 I like that comment - more than a lot! Bit of a newbie cum technophobe and all I can see so far is negativity on here in the large part. Thnaks for sharing such an honest and true thought that truely reflects on my own personel opinion. Good work Son.

  • @Annieindie that looks a bit upside down to me, but hey, each to their own!

  • @Annieindie in what world are oasis on top of the stone roses musically?!

  • @jookle1 Or in any respect, whatsoever. And what the hell are they doing above the Smiths!

  • @crowdedmouse i give them credit when credit is due they did manage to stay together through alot of shit, mainly liam and noel arguing and they did put out some good songs but come on?! the roses are one of the best if not the best thing to come out of manchester!

  • @jookle1 I'll give them credit where credit is due as well - the first album was good, and the second one was OK at the time but grates like fuck on me now. As for staying together through a lot of shit - that's nothing to be proud of, they were the ones who created the shit in the first place by being a bunch of utter bell ends. Liam especially. Total prick.

  • @crowdedmouse couldn't agree more on the liam part.

  • Comment removed

  • @Annieindie 1.The Stone Roses. 2.The Smiths. 3.The Libertines.

  • @Annieindie Oasis are a poor man's stone roses.

  • @amazonking7 ;o)

  • I think we all need a Sally Cinnamon she seems nice:L gr8 song

  • sent to me from heaven carol h..... you are my world

  • poignant masterpiece.

  • I love this song.

  • best song in the world. wish some one could live up to this in todays generation

  • people, stop arguing, class tune and youre fucking ruining it with your arguments, ian inspired them both, and they both said without the roses oasis would never have been, but 'so sally can wait' has nothing to do with this song, liam came up with the lyric, look on youtube, noel & liam about dont look back in anger

  • Stone roses are the reason for oasis, noel and liam gallacher where inspired by ian brown hence in oasis' dont look back in anger the lyrics go "so sally can wait" referring to this masterpiece.

  • Comment removed

  • @iholidayinarcady you idiot you talk more shite than 10 arses good theory though lol wikipedia you wank stain

  • @juniormcintyreee your telling me the stone roses are THE reason for oasis? heads up your arse mate.

  • @iholidayinarcady Noel said in an interview 'when i heard Sally Cinnamon for the first time, i knew what my destiny was', not to cause any disputes im just saying.

  • @irjawz im not denying that the stone roses were a big influence, but from what i can gather, he's trying to say that they were the only reason?
