  • I've been there in Amsterdam (15-01-2012) and it was really impressive

if you ever get a chance to go , do it!

  • SOW IT IN LONDON IN 2002

  • I'm ashamed of myself for watching this.....

  • My anatomy class just went on a field trip to Body World's and it was MIND BLOWING! It felt like an intense art exhibit and I left appreciating the intricacy of my own body. If you ever get a chance to go, DO IT!

  • When it came to PDX, I was lucky enough to have witness this first hand. It was an amazing experience.

  • just went today....learned more than i did in anatomy...plus they had a giraffe!

  • There 'unidentified' and from China. Probably political prisoners murdered by the Chinese government.

  • Gunter Von Hagens=Dr. Eduard Wirths

  • i went.... it was amazingly creepy. I found out about where the bodies are from. I cried! they need to shut them down!

  • i went yesterday. i freaked out o_o

  • Comment removed

  • I was there today in Copnhagen, it was awesome experence. But the bodies seem so plastic soo it was not that scary.

  • The creator of the plastination process , Gunter Von Hagens, has end stage Alzheimers...he has plans to be part of his exhibits..after his death, his wife will 'plastinize' him, and a voice recording will great future attendees of the show...for...all...eternity...bwahahahahahahahahah...

  • wooo how creepy

  • Went To Body Worlds Today, It Was Amazing!

  • Have Nebil's eyes been platinated ? BLINK for gods sake

  • I went to Body Worlds: The Cycle of Life in the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago today.. I'm 16 years old, and I thought it was absolutely beautiful. I wanna be a doctor and I honestly thought it was fascinating.

  • I don't want to sound like a necrophiliac but...They are so pretty! I could just eat them up ;)

  • this is kinda sick...

  • i went there in nyc it was awesum and they had a display whereu can touch stuf and i held a REAL HUMAN BRAIN it was crazy. i didnt evn kno til then that brains werent pink or red but gray lol i was like 7 wen i went there now im 12

  • think if Leonardo Davinci knew plastination!

  • are plastinated bodies used in other ways besides sex positions? me: DUDE WTF!

  • @gta4popper4 i think i meant to say exhibition.....but he said exposition

  • i went and i learned alot and at 1st i thought it would be a little bit scary but it wasent the scary part was all the parts and bodys were real

  • I loved this exhibition+as I have a major illness I became a full body donar myself. It demystified death to me,to see the human body in all it's complexity,,totally mind blowing..thankyou

  • Saw this at the MSI in Chicago, and it was absolutely breathtaking!! It was extremely fascinating to see everything under the human skin......an awesome exhibit!!

  • i fuckin love my body now!!!! it;s so complicated it's like a piece of art!! but anyway i don't want to end up in a museum : (

  • Isn't it funny how the inventor of the proccess looks like one of his subjects... except with a hat

  • @gettingahandle yea, they probably have the same genes

  • they even had a section for the fetus. it was really moving. they had them in like 6 different stages of growth

  • Jebem vam mater sektasku i satanisticku serem vam se usta ona bolesna jebovam pas da vas jebo

  • Saw this here in the U.S.A. and was fascinating. They even had in some cases lungs extracted from smokers vs. non smokers and the differences were amazing as were organs with tumors and a liver with cirrhosis and arteries laden with plaque and how it changes the body. It truly was educational despite the electrical wiring and intracacies of the body.

  • 0:01

  • It reminds me of the kind of thing you see in video games when the designers are showing you how evil an enemy is, how they preserve their enemies for show.

I understand this is for science, but it still brings up wierd memories. And as a bodybuilder I have great apreciation for muscularity and how the body works.

  • Cool... I'd like to see that :)

  • I have been to see Body Worlds. It is a wonderful experience to get to see what is under the skin. It was very intriguing. A magnificent day for a 13 year old.

  • They should post a photograph under each of the bodies being exhibited of what the people looked like before their death.

  • Are the dead bodie's eyes REAL??

  • @Icey314 No, he said in the video that the eyes were the only specimen not able to be preserved.

  • @Icey314 he JUST said no

  • i went to go see this when it was in my town and i LOVED it! i am a nurse and i took my daughter with me who is a nursing student and we loved it! im actually debating on donating my body for this because i think this is wonderful in the name of science!

  • what will the family members or friends in life think if they heard about this or happened to walk in a see this.

  • It was a great exhibition!!!! Happy to see it .

---CONTINUA---->>

  • I know the history of this, and it is really NOT as in the press.

Yes there was a public autopsy

Yes these bodies are filled with a resin compound

All bodies were donated, that is how I read report.

  • i went to it 2 years ago at the tech in sj and i saw a lung from someone who smokes and it was scary and made me change the way i treat my body

  • i was came to that in holland and it was instructive and very strange (scary)

  • I'm going to see this in a few minutes here in Vancouver, tomorrow's the last day, I cannot wait! I just don't understand how they prohibit photography saying is "out of respect for the bodies" when showing them like this in a way should be considered disrespectful, oh well, I'll just enjoy it, I've heard it's amazing!!! :)

  • @bboymummy saw it in vancouver the other day its absolutely amazing and quite disturbing haha

  • I lost my appatite.

  • It is utterly fascinating, for one thing, to see the "lifeforce" if you will completely banished from the bodies, almost like moments after physical death.

Is the plastination technique in detail is kind of secret?

  • seriously after seeing this for 2 years ago, i have a really wierd look at people, that we are only flesh and blood. And actually i find it a little bit scary..

  • Ik ga er donderdag heen :)

  • Going to Body World would be my living nightmare. My fear is what's to be seen underneath the skin of us living things.... D:

  • @ikeepitprivate yeah that is really wierd, because you don't notice that when you are surronded by people in your every day life. but when you see video clips like this or seeing photos or even seeing it in real life that is when it gets really strange

  • @ikeepitprivate i am 14 an my biologie class is going to it tomorrow =_________=

  • @ikeepitprivate you are fucked in the head....

  • Throughout the whole video I was like O.O

  • KJLVANBC...every one is entitled to their own opinion and interpretation of this exhibit, just because it fascinates you, surely does not mean that it has to fascinate them as well. Calling someone an idiot, only shows your real disposition, about life and especially other human beings, and to that I have no comment at all. Take care of your self my friend.

  • These people should be ashamed of themselves. Look at these dislikes. There should be likes. This is education people!!!! Gosh. Some people just do understand. This is your body everybody!!!!

  • if a zombie goes here?

  • during the school holidays last year, i went to this science camp at Science Centre... Everyday there was someone new(8 new ppl) so we had to go to the Body World 8 times..... this is what i felt: 1st time: awesome 2nd time:cool 3rd time:nice 4th time:ok, this is pretty scary 5th time:im getting pretty sick of this!!!! 6th time:GET ME OUT OF HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 7th time:WANNA DESTROY BODY WORLD!!!! 8th time:funeral
  • germans...

  • Are those bodies real?

  • @BrooklynFilmLover yes dude 0.o

  • @BrooklynFilmLover of course

  • IT WAS AMAZING!

  • Now HOW is that interesting? With a world already full of violence wouldn't you think things like watching someone cut a body into pieces would only fuel some sick psychopathic person to go ahead and do this sort of thing?

Its almost like him saying "look this is how its done"...Yuk!

AND...selling parts of animals and people...Omg where is the respect of letting someone or something rest in piece...I hope he gets haunted by restless spirits...if he isnt already!

  • @wpniabbc people donate their bodies to this man you fool. so f$%^ off if you don't like it and leave your shitty little comments to yourself.

  • @Kirsty22 Really thats why the guy who puts this on stated he got the bodies from a certain place. When asked at that certain place they denied every donating bodies. so its really sick i guess if a mass murderer was doing this would you still be okay with this. its just plain sick .Gunther von Hagen's is also starting to selling body parts online and is totally disgusting.

  • i saw this 2day at science world...

it was rlly cool to see the babies

    & the smoker's lung :p

& i also get to touch the liver & lung :D

  • best thing ever.

  • I saw this when it was here in Edmonton it was fascinating to see.

  • This stuff is so facinating!!! I am a fan! So much easier to learn from than cadavers! I wish I was able to see the exhibit when it was here. Will there be anymore tours does anyone know?

  • GO TO THE PHILIPPINES!!!!!

  • @mrsayelway panget dun LOL!

  • @mrsayelway sa vancouver maganda XD

  • Ah, Biology, why so awesome. :D

  • The people who thumbed up hansbanans21 are sick fuckers

  • good

  • can u say EWWWWWWWW!!!!!!

  • It was actually quite an emotional experience for me, (and a bit scary to be honest,) to see this exhibit. But, it definitely will influence the way I take care of myself from now on, and the rest of my life.

It was more shocking to see people smoking cigarettes after exiting this exhibit! How could you smoke anything, after seeing the lung specimen?!

  • Thank god I'm not the janitor there!!!!!

  • Going tomorrow

  • It is fascinating! I am in high school and choose to do my art assignment about Dr. Gunther Von Hagens, and I will be explaining that its not just for artistic purposes, and that it is used to help people gain better knowledge on their bodies.

I'd love to see one of his exhibitions, it would be amazing to see. Fair enough people have their own opinions and think he is a creep, but look outside the box :)

  • I also read and heard donated bodies have to had of died a natural death, no diseases or any other contaminated things wrong with them...

  • I am a body donor. They WILL take your body if you have a disease, but they have to know about when you sign up. Infectious diseases are iffy. You must have died a natural death, i.e. a death not caused by violence( severely injured in an accident, fire, suicide, ect ) The body must be largely intact, no autopsy performed at an institute of pathology or forensic medicine, however you can donate your organs. Also the body must be transported asap after death they will also take embalmed bodies.

  • @SpideyGirl317 oh they will? I thought it was the opposite cause of the disease eating away the tissues and all...but thanks for letting me know the correct information of this..and thanks for donating..u'll do us and science a great deed to look at our bodies in a different way...

  • @JAdoreSephora They pump the bodies full of Formalin first, this kills all bacteria and chemically stops the decay of tissue Then all the liquids and fats are drawn out of the body and the plastination chemicals take their place. Once the chemicals have hardened the tissue is preserved, of course not permanently but at least for 10,000 or so years :)

  • @SpideyGirl317 You can donate your body to me =D [/creeping]

  • people do cry i was there like not there but some were they was in my state

  • Fascinating. Thx u for posting.

  • Dr. Frankenstein Hitler !!!

  • lol, if you look at the comments

the biggest part of them is answering to something

    :D

  • Oh my! These poses are te most fascinating ones I've seen so far! They are so elegant! I really loved that first one on the trapeze and the lady reaching up with her air tumbling down. I went to see the Bodies exhibit that hit Pittsburgh, and those poses were more sports-oriented. It was was of the best experiences of my life.

  • fuking shit they are death al fucking people see the

  • this is very unique plus creepy with all the dead bodies TRULY NAked..lol i was told about this waaay back in grade 9 now got to see the video although it is a bit creepy..and i think the host is a bit freaked out and lost his emotions...i dont know why people would do this to their bodies?

  • @koolgoose2 Why wouldn't they do this to their bodies? Not everyone sees the body as something sacred. It's amazing and almost primal to see one of these exhibits in person, reminding us of our own primal origins. I'm a fatass so these exhibits would never want me, but I would definitely donate my body to this cause.

  • they take out all the fat because it speeds up decomposition after death.

  • @Rawbones21 It has less to do with the fat and more to do with how gross a fat body looks.

  • amk ben gittim 25 lirA verdim bi de .aq gitmeyin beee burda ne görüyosan o mankeni boyamışlar gibi bi boka benzemiyor.

  • hey wat will happen if you fuck up the body ?

do you throw it to the trash can :D

  • My dad went there, and he said that it was awesome!

  • @werewolfme2

    awesome and poor

  • Just did a huge research paper on Plastination. Its amazing how much time and effort goes into each model. Its fascinating. Von Hagens has truly helped medical and laypersons alike to understand how our bodies work. =]

  • a bit creepy

  • "Are plastinated bodies being used in other ways besides this sex position?"

  • @jeohuinG `Are plastinated bodies being used in other ways besides this exposition*`

  • Comment removed

  • Lots of people have been saying that this exposition is really gross and wrong. They only say that because they havn't experienced the exhibit. I have tickets at the moment and am going in a while. Super pumped! But seriously, what's so gross about our own body?! I find it awesome and amazing. And to be able to experience this really opens up more possibilities for the future.

  • LoL, I remember seeing this, I touched one of the bodies, which I wasn't supposed to

  • extraordinary exhibition!

  • This is creepy and fascinating all in one. I have decided to go see it as it opens yesterday a block away from me.

It teaches people what happens to your body when you make bad choices.

  • so awesome.

  • youd have to be a weirdo to choose this as a profession lol

  • talk in spanish no entiendo nada

  • girl a 2:29 had a nice ass! ahahahah

  • @andrenogueira775 you gotta be a real interesting person to make such a comment about a dead girl

  • Im interested in learning who these people were in life from the body worlds museum. very interesting.

  • 人体の不思議展だ!

  • Beautiful! this job is awesome, the human body is the greatest creation of God, so perfect!

  • I've seen this. It's not really disgusting at all, it's pretty interesting.

Ok and first of all, for all you morons out there, no one was killed..

People donate their bodies to Body Worlds for plastination long before they die. It's somewhere they want their body to go.. towards educational use if you will.

Now stop acting like people were murdered in the process. That's ridiculous..

  • Comment removed

  • ASIAN KILLERS !!!

  • Its a little sick if you ask me, who were these people before they were killed, how were the bodies acquired ...? were they killed who killed them...? Dr. Jequel or Mr. Hyde...?

  • @Andres60state of course the bodies weren't killed! all the bodies in this exhibit came from people who donated their bodies when they were stil alive. basically, they wanted thier bodies to be used for education after they were gone, so they filled out a form when they were living and went on living. when they died, however they died, their bodies got preserved.

  • I saw this a couple years ago, and I will never get tired of seeing it several more times. There were so many people there also, many with small children. Even the kids were fascinated. There is nothing gross or immoral about it. If you feel that way, you are an idiot.

  • @KJLVANBC every one is entitled to their own opinion and interpretation of this exhibit, just because it fascinates you, surely does not mean that it has to fascinate them as well. Calling someone an idiot, only shows your real disposition, about life and especially other human beings,

  • I've been to the exhibition in Köln yesterday. It was great.

  • knowledge is power, and power without wisdom is destructive to yourself and those around you

  • Arab speaking English, lol

  • @duculetu88 Romanian writing in English! lol!!

  • the one near the end in the ballet pose has to be the most artistic out of the ones in this vid.very cool stuff.i iactually used one of the pictures of these "statues" as a reference for the circulatory system for an art project :)

  • that is amazing. that they use real people. I think its amazing (in a good way lol)

  • aww thts cute

  • Very cool and informative. Makes me want to donate my body to science when the time comes! This stuff educates a lot of people.

  • its like watching anatomie all over again..I LOVE IT !

  • tomorrow i'll go to zürich! that's great, i love the work of von hagens! we shpuöd be happy to see something like this and that there are people like hagens who make it visable for us ;)

  • disgusting!

  • Their in colombia rigght noww im going on sundayyy. Im dying to goooo :))

  • maybe you should go to one of the Exhibitions then you'd understand better... and yes they actualy show how many people all over the world donate their bodies and you can actualy ask for a form if you want to donate.. and no the baby didn't sign to be donated but do you think the baby signed a form to die or to be consived? come on people open your minds to sience.. you watch all these sick horror movies where people do shit to other people and you can't understand something like this clip?

  • ummm... i went there and actually if u look at it they r mostly asian men... and some of them donate but actually most of them died in prison and scientist figured that they were not worth being buried and put them in an exibit.... nut some were donated

  • *but

  • @MmeTinkDizzle

and you know that from.. where exactly?

please let me know when you're done making up sources

  • @Keh0ol I do agree with you I know that people dedicate their bodies to help us learn new things. I was told by a tour guide that some were from a prison. It is not a good idea to repeat what you hear, maybe they were trying to scare us. I do appreciate the people that did donate their bodies, they are helping us with many things, especially learning how to keep ourselves healthy.

  • @MmeTinkDizzle who exactly told you that the donors were prisoners? Was it the curator or just a host or hostess at body worlds.

  • @Keh0ol If there were people from the prison well they are also very much appreciated. I appologize for giving you the wrong impression. thanks so much for correcting me.

  • Come on MrKopersan open your mind to a dictionary, sCience is a wonderful thing.

  • I was at the one in Philadelphia a few weeks ago and it was amazing. I didn't expect it to be so interesting until I actually got in there and started reading and studying everything. I would recommend it to anyone. I have been to museums all over the world and this is still one of my favorite exhibits.

  • i hate the BGM (Background music). im gonna go to the body world next week as a school trip. looking forward to it. very interesting

  • dude i was there

  • mudnerd:........ What do you know about what the chinese scientific research organizations do? .. or what they are interested in? China does have free access to this site! FOR YOUR INFORMATION: ...China considers executed people to be STILL slaves!

If China chooses....they will....Use your brains...They more than likely have. They sell kidneys don't thet?!?!

  • @firstmonopolopolis Thank you for letting us know what china thinks about executed people! My guess is you dont know sh*t about China but like having an "evil country" to spatter now and then, makes australia or wherever youre from feel much better?

  • I go rabbit hunting! I have mates that work in abotoirs. I would not want to see any of my loved ones this way...the eyes cannot be changed...I guess I am a human....Not a PUBLIC specimen!

  • People are stupid. I think this is absolutely fascinating. Bodies are donated to further science and to help educate us. I don't understand people's hang-ups with "Oh my gosh, how barbaric!" The person's family knows that they donated it. I would totally donate mine someday. What if it meant saving someone else? Or if doctors learned about a new sickness from it and learned how to prevent others from getting sick? It's not even a question to me. Plus I don't need my body where I'm going someday.

  • @hansbanans21 wow aren't YOU judgemental for calling people stupid.

  • @hansbanans21 good donate your body cause im not fuck naw :D

  • @hansbanans21 i think you are right but its pretty gross

  • @ulkord when i first saw one bodie i thought it was gross then i said to myself i have the same parts (not the guys part) and that it was fantastic

  • @hansbanans21

What kind of education are we talking about?
