Didja see the interview with Sam Bush? They needed a new bass player, Cowan came in and impressed them enough to hire him - then he asked if HE could sing something... Sam said "well, I'M the lead singer, but sure, sing something"...

When Cowan was done (I forget what he sang for them) was done, Sam said "um....YOU'RE thre new lead singer"...

I got to see John do Good Woman's Love at a little club on the college campus in Austin, TX some years ago. After it was done, I overheard the conversation between the couple in front of me. I guess they were in their sixties.

Him, maybe a little taken aback, "That's a Bill Monroe tune!"

Her, "Not anymore!"
