@TheTom1315 Tak są tyle ,że dużo się zmieniło od czasu nakręcenia tych filmików. Obecnie używa się napiętników a w WKF są nawet ochraniacze na stopy. Ponadto kontakt jest ograniczony. Tak naprawdę wolałbym powrotu do starego Shotokanu.

That is not a black belt but red you morons....red -aKa and white mean the some like blue one -Shiro, and these are only a symbols to rekognized fighters.... and this small one is a judo fighter not a karate ... and he dont have black belt.. and this is a full contact karate in Karate WSKF Stralsund 2002 in Germany !!!! ...the competition was diferent than standard karate...becous all styles can be yoused ..like in streetkarate ....

he is not brown. He is wearing red belt (aka) and the other one is wearing white belt (širo). These belts are just for the competitions and have nothing to do with fighter's real belts. In the present there are aka and ao (blue)

I don't know about that, shotokan is an ever evolving karate, its purepose is to finish off an oponent as fast as possible which is what you want in real life I would think. Rather than rolling around the ground, trying to get them in a choke out position and possibly getting stabed from behind. Atleast thats my understanding.

front kicks, side snap kicks, thrust kicks, round house, reverse back thrust kick ( the one were you spin back wards) , knees, elbows, open hand (knife hand) attacks can all be used in the sport side. As well as throws (though there is little focus on them)

I think knees might be illegal in sport side. Eye attacks and some limited neck breaking moves in higher katas is also taught. This style is what the basis of the US marines are taught comes from.

Ah well there are things like cresent kicks, reverse round house stuff. But if you want like flying kicks and really acrobatic sort of kicking movements you wont see a lot of that. Shotokan is a really grounded style.

For instance wich would you think is the best for in a place with allot of people like when you go clubbing, shotokan or tai-kwon do? ofcourse shotokan because you can use your hands for blocking and attacking. Where as tai kwon do mainly use kicks and are not taught any forms of blocking.

Watch some of the "karate vs jiujitsu" videos. Karate school challenged Gracie jiujitsu school, all the karate students lost. Not saying jiujitsu is all-powerfull, just saying that no style is inherently better than any other (karate included), it's the individual fighter that determines how good the martial art is.

If you notice in that video all the karate practitioners were not very skilled and besides Kimura kick the shit out of Helio back in the 50's the only thing the Gracies have is a lot of bravado and guts you basically have to kill them to defeat them because they just don't give up. The problem with martial arts today is that they have become too much of a sport and fighters limit themselves to the rules of their tournaments
