stetuan55 Im also someone that appreciates technique and creativity and puts tricks by the waist side. But recently I started to look at the grassroots at what street dance is supposed to be. Entertainment was the aim of all of the old schoolers because that is what drew the biggest crowds and in turn brought the most money. If you look at it this way it is what salah brings to the table. I have never been a salah fan but with a certain mentality you can appreciate what he does.

i agree with you, salah would be perfect if he think about it, and put the old-tricks away for a while. we are talkin about freestyle, about POPPIN about hittin-the-beat, about MUSICALITY. Koreans were fuckin amazing, they had to win this battle.

i think that the difference of the styles, particulary between salah and popping-j doesnt always make them understand why the publique is reacting on the moves of the other dancer. J is more looking for the precision in his moves, and salah watch out to have extravagant movements that we can easely see, and where the precision is not that important. i think that the technique makes popping-j to be a good dancer, and the ideas salah!
