I own a sphynx and i tried this but he hates the leash how did you train your sphynx to do this

@wow06 its not train, its about getting him used to it.. if a cat does not do something from a very young age he will probably never learn to like it, same as showers they need to get their first shower at a few weeks old, even if its not a full shower just touching water and teaching them not to be scared of it..

@wow06 if he is still young, have him walk around the house with the harness on (he will look like its very heavy but will get used to it) then walk him around the house with the leash and only when he is used to that take him for a walk around the house and then outside the house

@wow06 you should make sure you do not walk to far away from the house, cats like being in their territory and will feel uncomfortable if they get to far away from it be patienent because he may get to freaked out if he has never been outside and you do not want that to happen.. if he is older just let him be, he will be ok in the house as long as he can bathe in the sun sometimes :)

People put clothing on shpynxes due to their lack of fur. They get cold very easily.

@chadley6916: This is a hairless cat.. Hairless cats need some kind of clothing to keep warm. They are best in not too cold or too hot environments anyway.

I take mine out for walks too, but I don't use a lead or any clothes (even though I live in Scotland which is pretty damn cold most of the time).

Unfortunately cats like this cannot be allowed out unattended. They attract too much attention, some of it fairly unpleasant.

it's a better option to having your cat be an indoor/outdoor cat.

this way you know where they are and they aren't getting into fights, etc

also if you live in an apt and you want your cat to have some fresh air, you can walk them :D

i put my kitty on a harness and walk him (in warmer weather) too :D

You can get little booties for them so that you don't need to wash off their paws after going out in the mud. My kitty got used to them pretty fast.
