Thank you Governor for the awesome speech. As a 2009 Trojan Graduate, it was really special to be there! Best graduation speech I have ever heard - funny, meaningful, and incredibly uplifting and inspirational. the complete opposite of the horrible valedictorian's speech which preceded this. Again, awesome!

How does this make one prouder to be a Trojan? I am also a graduate in the class of 2009 and I'm truly disappointed. Arnold included both homophobic and transphobic jokes in his speech. How is this acceptable? It's disconcerting and the school should be embarrassed. There is not a chance that he would make racist or sexist jokes, but homophobia and transphobia is ok. It's disgusting how that kind of thing is still tolerated, and nobody seems to think there's anything wrong with it.

Being a transperson myself I didn't hear any specific transphobic jokes being made. He made an awkward comment at the start about people being undecided but it was not meant as an attack in my view

I wasn't looking forward to having him as the speaker for our graduation at first but I have to say he had a great speech. It was totally non-political and very inspiring. Both he and Obama (at Notre Dame) did a good job on keeping the focus on the future graduates. I may not agree with Republicans, but I think Arnie did a great job.
