@atomicwave Well it might be the worst song you've ever heard for the moment, but there are far worse songs out there than this one. You can't argue with the musicianship here. I like Caravan, I don't know if I like them enough to own any of their albums though.

Caravan rule! This is my fave album by them but i just love the hammondy organ sounds and vocals...and not forgetting the flute! wow!

Their debut album on Verve is an eye opener too.. But this current album is their best, although I do like their 75/6 period as well.

Probably Caravan at their very best, I think....The whole album is superior quality, surely one of the best results of that particular jazz/rock from Canterbury. Useless to remember Soft Machine first and second albums.

@philwear I think you're right. have a vague memory of seeing them perform this on Top of The Pops, which at that time (late 1970?) would have guaranteed them at least a Top 50 hit.

@jonnybrowne , there used to be an ( album ) spot back then , and the chosen band would do a couple of tracks , it did,nt last long though , and it then went back to the top 20 format again .

@j7777777 I do remember the album spot, which from memory ran during 1971 so Caravan's appearance might have pre-dated that. There were some top acts featured in that slot, including Yes, The Faces and The Groundhogs.
