I've had both and without a doubt mac is better. I don't have to deal with all these bullshit viruses, their constantly coming up with new innovative things, if you havn't tried a mac, trust me you should. That's coming from someone who's delt with microsoft and the others for years. I will never go back. Not dissing anyone, but that's to the ones thinking of switching. I've had my mac for 3 years now and have never had a problem. My past 4 Pc's always gave me problems.

just bought it and love it, except for.... the wonderful "third click option" to get an overview of all ur open windows (that i really liked on the mighty mouse) has disappeared. Why? is there an easy way to get a quick overview with the magic mouse? I haven't found it...yet. Anyone?

battery drain, so i shifted on usb keyboard, even the magic mouse battery drain very quickly..sorry apple lied they said battery will last 4 months sorry it do not .

I am mainly a laptop user and I think this would be great to use when I am using my desktop, but I am not willing to buy one at that price. I will just deal with a regular one.

if I understand this, you'll have to lift off your finger everytime to "click" it, so resting your index, you can't just click, you have to lift it first.

No it actually clicks. There is a video called "Unboxing Apple's MagicMouse" it is probably just on the right there. It shows how it clicks. I was unsure if it actually clicked also.

the only people who don't love the things that apple does are the people who have never actually given apple the time of day to try it. everything mac is customizable so if you have used a friend's mac it may not have been amazing to you because it is a friend's mac, but when you own a mac and experience it for yourself as your own it is remarkable and you will never EVER think about going back to PC. the difference is very clear between the two

A mac is a nice machine, however, if you are a bit of a tech head, you know you're just paying way too much for a computer.

A mac has NOTHING other than design, and it goes by hundreds (often thousands!!!) of dollars. Guess what, OSX isn't mac-exclusive, so you're paying for the hardware. And you're paying too much.

So a mac is for people who just can't see that (emperors new clothes), or people not intelligent enough to install OSX on a superiour system, for a lot less money.

i mean, yea you can argue that point all you want, but in addition to the far superior OS, the quality and design of the hardware is just simply better too. aside from the mac keyboard which is different from the windows keyboard, the green technology used to make the hardware, and the simply elegant, sturdy, and ergonomic design, mac also has the multi-touch trackpad that is larger than other trackpads and uses technology that others do not. overpriced? maybe. simply better? definitely.

Each to their own, mac has a bad reputation for reliability (esp notebooks), so it comes down to what you like. Better OS? I beg to differ, their OS is different, not better. My servers run on Linux, my exchange servers rund on Win 2k3, my work pc's run on WinXP & Win7, and my daughter has OSX because, and I quote "it looks pretty" (her friend had it...). I am an application developer, and setting up the mac for my development needs was near impossible.

@ZesPak Incorrect in every respect. Macs win PC Mag's reliability and service survey in both laptops and desktops. Over the last decade, no company comes remotely close to their reliability record, and those are based on LARGE sample sizes.

As to development, Macs run both Windows and Linux very well (I run both in my Mac), so if anything they are a better development environment,as you can develpp for any platform, including iPhone, which is becoming a very popular one.

And OS X is better.

@ZesPak it does recognize when you're resting your finger, so you don't have to lift it off to click. plus with Better Touch Tool the functionality is increased tenfold. it takes a bit of getting used to initially but now i couldn't imagine going back to a regular mouse.

No, but Windows 7 has Touch Screen Multi touch, in my opinion better than this mouse. Besides, it looks a bit too complicated.
