how about Nazarenes just be catholic...the many gathered as one...while remaining many ... fueled by the Spirit for a very particular person and purpose -- Jesus Christ, the concrete universal, for the glory of God the Father and for the sake of the world Christ died and rose again to restore. If Nazarenes cannot be this, then they are heretical...emergent, concerned or not. "I believe in one holy catholic and apostolic church..."

Other than that amusing tidbit, I think we have to ask whether this is really appropriate to have fun at their expense, despite the lampooning they've done of the emergent church.
Isn't it time to just get past the whole silly thing anyway? I know it's an unpopular statement, but the emergent church is dead. Dead, in the sense that it no longer needs to be labeled "emergent" and can simply be labeled "the church".
When it comes down to it, this was never a debate between "emergent" and "concerned", it was a debate between post-moderns and moderns. Post-moderns believe that there is more than one way to look at things, moderns do not. That's the real issue.
