Yeah, all of the tracks on the box set are trimmed to about two minutes. The original versions are usually a minute or two longer, but it's basically the same thing, since it just loops over and over.

Buckethead also has a song called "Datura". I like to think that MF DOOM is like the Buckethead of the hip-hop world, since they both wear masks, create different personas, and incorporate every music style around the world into their own art. They're also very 'gateway' in terms of finding new and unheard of musicians. Aside from that, datura is an incredibly hallucinogenic plant. So much so, that I've hardly ever heard of anyone even trying it.

You are mistaken. Because I own the 3 cd's the box set came with, along with the incorrect tracklist it was printed with, and every single individual special herbs cd, even the repeated ones. On Special Herbs 9 this track is called Datura Stamonium (IT'S FIRST PUBLICATION) and is the instrumental to poo-putt platter / da superfriendz / etc. The instrumental to Gas Drawls is Calamus Root, your tracklist is wrong.

The box set is wrong though. If you bought the original cds, when each volume came out invidually, you have the correct names, or the "orignal" names, if you want to be politically correct. The box set scrambled up all the names from the previous individual cd collection. Long story short...this beat's correct name is Datura Stramonium.

If you bought it in real life you have a completely wrong tracklist. If you bought it in itunes or amazon or whatever you have the incorrect corrected tracklist. The only people that have the right tracklist are the people that actually have the original special herb sets, and matched the individual tracks up.

I actually bought the real Box Set album. I have all three CD's that came with it. I imported them to my iTunes library. Thats what it is called according to The Box Set I bought.

Yeah, all the box set's that were printed and sold in 2006 were distributed with a completely wrong tracklist. I can't post links in a comment but if you look up the wikipedia article of the box set, it says that the tracklist it was printed with is wrong and provides a corrected tracklist.There are still a couple of errors in the list, but the majority is right. Many torrents and online distributors use that corrected tracklist, so wrong information tends to spreads quickly.
