the script is already leaked for the movie, and i read a review on it...and it's very good.it's also very clever how they get around "baraka-pool" too. basically in the movie,x-men origins wolverine is a movie that he goes to see, and he hates it. and throughout the movie his making fun of hugh jackman. oh and there going to cover the origin part, by using flashbacks because the movie starts at the peak of his career.

BUT!-- the elements of T-Ray and his inhumanity can challenge Deadpool and his true morals. Here you have Deadpool-- crazy, sure, but still very human in a lot of ways. T-Ray, lost all hope, given up on humanity, dark powers and a presence like evil death. Something like that would be a great combination!

hmm...i really like the idea of doing something like circle chase, but making it better and mroe original....or maybe somewhat absed on suicide kings...ooh...maybe have deadpool go after a mercenary, and several other mercenaries are afetr him and/or after deadpool...and the guy deadpool is after is hired to kill deadpool...and then it turns out to be some sick plot set up by some evil dude...what do you think?

I think the "Wade Wilson's War" limited series is an awesome starting point for the movie. The story wouldn't have to be exactly the same but having deadpool telling a story of his origin to the Senate because of some secret it's tied up with would be boss. And plenty of moments like this from the comic:
Deapool: "As we reached the bridge, Dom told us to wait -- she had an idea"
Dom: "Wait, I have an idea"

Story: An original story. Deadpool's origins, his adventures, and a lot of characters, including cameos. Also, there's a love triangle with Deadpool, T-Ray, and Copycat. There will be fourth-wall breaking, references, whatever but there will also be some humor and action. A lot of assassins but no overly unrealistic stuff.
definately his origin story mixed with new mutants # 98 & a hint of wolverine origins comics but not like the movies more like the comics wolverine should get a cameo also my opinion about the director it should stephen norington cuz look at how the first blade movie it was dark and well told and that's how the deadpool movie should be but with a shitload of wisecracking humor.
I think the deadpool movie should be his origins. What happened to his parents, how he became all bubbly, how he became deadpool and I think there should be weasel but no bob (sorry bob). Then he lives the beginning of his life all BA then joins agent x and have all those characters (or at least most of them). For bad guys I really think Taskmaster would be amazing but idk. Even though deadpool IS my favorite character of all time I don't know that much bout him cuz im a noob :P
Suicide Kings would be a really great choice as well. Fox could make a great story into a movie and still have the chance to shamelessly plug in about five characters. All in all, it'd be a good idea as long as it's executed propperly. The same can be said for all the potential stories.
remember that series where t-ray splits 'pool in his separate personalities, and deadpool has to kill all of them for shits and giggles? they should say that baraka deadpool was one of his personalities, and the movie starts out with the ending part of wolveinre origins, then it show deadpool repeatedly shooting and killing baraka while his head is off and he is defenseless. then deadpool spends the movie along the lines of the first few cable and deadpool comics, cept without cable.
ive only been a deadpool fan since x-men origins wolverine came out and my opion shouldnt matter as much.. but the joe kelly era sounds like a great movie. its got a conflict, a villain, and looks into wade wilson's history. Fox would go crazy for it
Answer is Yes. Just let the Chemistry and personalities of the characters make the movie happen rather than backstories, or any expository needs to be done, the 5 second flashbacks complete with guitar riffs from Inglorious Bastards can make it happen. I like the chemistry that the characters had in Zombieland they did an amazing job of making you care about the characters.

hell no the x-men movies were dissapointing... rouge doesnt fly, gambit never shows up, and sabretooth dies.... that is just bullshit in my opinion... plus superman returns was as bad as ang lees hulk lol
...Rogue DIDN'T fly, Gambit was going to show up in Bryan Singer's X-Men 3, but Brett Ratner screwed it up, we actually don't know if Sabretooth dies, same with Toad, and Superman Returns isn't X-Men. X-Men and X2 were both good movies. The Last Stand and Wolverine ruined the movie series. Bryan Singer should have directed them all.

I was saying that Rogue couldn't fly as part of her mutation, and in the movies she just learned of her power so she shouldn't be able to fly yet, Sabretooth wasn't needed for x2 as that would just be another character to make screen time for and you already know how many characters were in x2. Bryan Singer did better at handling so many characters than Brett Ratner or Gavin Hood did. Singer was the only one able to create quality X-Men films.And he didn't screw up characters like Ratner or Hood

I have no idea about story, but for director, I'd think one of the guys who do Supernatural would be fun. I saw an interview with one of them and they seem to really like (read: adore) funny-esque action and gore sequences. They have great commedic timing and always try to con the network into giving them more blood n' guts per minute. Yeah... Eric Kripke or one of the others get my vote.
I think the story to tell is Circle Chase. If you want to tie it in to the X-Men franchise, maybe have it be something made by Magneto, or maybe have that Ultimate Weapon be a Sentinel/Nimrod type thing. I also agree that having Copycat in there is the best idea for the female lead. So yeah, I pretty much agree with you.

lets say Wilson Fisk (the Kingpin) wants his company rival Norman Osbourne (before the first Spider-man) dead, and hires a group of assassins Bulls Eye, Task-Master, T-ray, Ajax (maybe), Bob agent of HYDRA (lets say he's a new member and his first assignment is to take down Osbourne), Outlaw, and Deadpool (free for all) who gets his weapons from new friend and supplier Weasel. We could say by the end Deadpool teams up with a couple of the assassins.
I say go for the original story and build from there with like a 10 or 15 min origin flashback in there. Btw fuck yeah Smokin Aces, one of my all time favorite movies. Since you asked about a director, why not Joe Carnahan himself?
I'm more worried about the style of writing the script gets more than the story right now. Deadpool's comics have a lot of narrated , 4th wall, & pop culture humor. So if its not directed right, it will just stop start and loose audience interest. So choosing a director for the movie, I reckon the main thing is not to get someone like mike bay who is all flashy sfx. Find a action comedy director, like john landis or ivan reitman. We need a director that can balance/merge action with comedy.
I am loving the daniel way deadpool comics at the minute and would love maybe the 2nd film to be based on some of that. I dont read much current marvel so I got quickly flown through secret invasion into dark reign by that. I would just lob them straight into secret invasion (DP issues 1-3), as it wouldnt have to be given a huge explanation. Then I'd jump from the end of that and osbourne getting plans to kill skrull queen to deadpool watching him do it on tv, then bullseye sent to kill him
U could revive willem defoe easily (goblin serum), give him stupid hair, have him claim Harry was both goblins, and have him fly in in altered goblin armour to win secret invasion and form HAMMER (not from SHEILD, but as a seperate entity). Oh yeah Sam L Jackson cameo too. Then lots of fun with colin farrel, maybe dressed as hawkeye maybe not. Not sure exactly about ending as spaceships at start sort of trumps a huge payoff from bullseye at the end. Maybe DP hires bullseye and they go get osborn
I love the Smokin' Aces type of Deadpool film, because Taskmaster would have to be in it along with even, maybe, hopefully Bullseye.
Also, if this type of film does happen Bob form Hydra can be introduced and at the end of the film he becomes Deadpool's sidekick. Kinda like how it happen in the comics.
I think an original story would be the way to go for a Deadpool movie. If they do a comic adaptation, you know there are gonna be those fans that bitch about what is wrong with it. Yeah, add how he got to where he is but don't have them fuck it up. And I think Ryan Reynolds would be good as Deadpool because he has the mouth for it and nobody can crack a joke like Van, but don't have him without his costume. It ruins his awesomeness
I say as long as it's epic and doesn't have Baraka-Pool in it, anything is good. As for a Director.... I can't help but think Quentin Taratino might do a kick ass job with directing...... Joe Carnahan who directed Smokin' Aces, or Troy Duffy who directed "The Boondock Saints"
If Ryan Reynolds can´t direct it, they should give him a chance to hand pick his own director. Personally I would choose Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, the guys who made Crank and Gamer.

I agree, but Fox needs to be baby fed into how deadpool REALLY is( not that nightmare in origins). A simple movie with Deadpool done right is a good start, but i have limited expectations for FoX

i agree that circle chase would be the easiest movie adaptation of the comics... but i also strongly believe that movies dont have to be based on a story line from the comics. thats what a script and writers are for. of course thats where theyll find most of their ideas. but theres nothing wrong with forming a brand new story. you can still stick to deadpool and his roots. and my vote for director would go to sam rami.
have deadpool doing a job with weasel in new york making refrenses to the other marvel films (also the baraka deadpool) then durring his job in nyc weasel dies in a painful way and have deadpool go on a revenge quest ala kill bill even have him refrense the film and durring the credits have deadpool do a psa based on the scientology one and have a scene post credits scene in which deadpool meets bob and a baby with one eye and white hair... oh and have it be directed by Sam Rami

I like your Circle Chase/Smoking Aces feat. Deadpool idea. In terms of what Fox as a studio can actually make that doesn't suck, that's probably the safest bet. I t. As for a director, I'd really dig seeing Stephen Chow making this movie. He and Reynolds would almost certainly work well together, and Chow's style is very similar to how we're accustomed to seeing a Deadpool story told. I'd like to see Cable in it too, but you have a good point about his convoluted backstory.

Jon Favreau would do a solid job with the movie. He did a good job with Iron Man. Depending on how good Iron Man 2 is, i think Favreau should get the gig.
i think the 3 L's company needs to be a part of the story, considering they have been watching wade since before he got all superpowered. however them being a multi planetory company or something would be a bit too outlandish for a movie. weasel should most definately be in the story. perhaps the story could revolve around taskmaster and his ninja school... like taskmaster gets the zero unit and a bunch of mercenaries come hunting for it or something...

i've been a fan of deadpool since i've heard about him and think one of the better story ideas they could use would be the last instalment of deadpool before the made agent x, the one where DP cuts off rhino's horn and then shrinks him, and of course at the end of the series a bomb goes off and supposedly kills off Deadpool, but thats just me as long as fox does DP justice i'll be happy but i'm not expecting much because its fox
Personally I would really like to see the "Earth 5700" with more Deadpool. And in the end Agent Zero comes back kicks the shit out of everyone then dies, it might be contradicting to the Origins but lets face it, Origins was fucked up. So yeah, "Earth 5700" with Zach Snider (I spelled that wrong) and have a bunch of slow to fast fight scenes with bullets flying everywhere because I mean you know Zero vs DP would be a good fight. I am anxious to see how they are going to remove swords from his arms, take away his x-ray vision, rip his mouth open, give him cancer, and explain the whole Wolverine/healing factor deal... But I haven't completely given up hope.
All I am saying, is this movie has quite a bit standing in it's way....
I didn't really like either of the two limited series.
I really loved the Typhoid Mary arc, of very early vol 3.
And the whole lucman and lake arc as a whole is pretty great.
Also, I would like to see how the movie makers integrate Blind Al into the story... I don't think the general movie-goer would get it, seeing as it is confusing as hell.
And, I would prefer to not have to see T-ray... at all.
i'd like to see every one going after deadpool such as taskmaster bullseye t ray and other merc's maybe agent x .he meets weasel gives him a hand not getting caught by pulling out some teleporter type thing and getting them the hell out of there . then we have the whole t ray thing at the big battle and t ray ends up dead (i hate fucking t ray)
they also have to be careful not to try to shove deadpool down the publics mouth to much. ( just look at what they did with wolverine and to a lesser extent venom) with the whole jumping ship thing i dont think he actually just quit on the movie but atmost pushed it back he said he would like to be cult hit like Blade trinity.
I donr have a name in mind but the director has to be a person that loves the charecter so much that they will do everything not to fuck it up instead of a person that just sees it as another project. I think marvel should start with some animated short films to fill the long void until the movie like with the avengers shorts. I think it is a long shot but i love the suicide kings story but its a dream so i think that maybe a mix of things from the early DP series could help the orgin story pt1

Love your ideas dude, I wish you could direct the Deadpool movie, LOL! But I'd like to see Nolan direct I think... I really love how he played with his latest two Batman movies, a real nice dark tone to it- with humor. Deadpool could probably benifit from Nolan's visionary.

I think the "Wade Wilson's War" limited series is an awesome starting point for the movie. The story wouldn't have to be exactly the same but having deadpool telling a story of his origin to the Senate because of some secret it's tied up with would be boss. And plenty of moments like this from the comic:
Deapool: "As we reached the bridge, Dom told us to wait -- she had an idea"
Dom: "Wait, I have an idea"
Deadpool: "Sorry, sometimes I forget that the dialogue is able to carry the narration."

Story: An original story. Deadpool's origins, his adventures, and a lot of characters, including cameos. Also, there's a love triangle with Deadpool, T-Ray, and Copycat. There will be fourth-wall breaking, references, whatever but there will also be some humor and action. A lot of assassins but no overly unrealistic stuff.

I think the deadpool movie should be his origins. What happened to his parents, how he became all bubbly, how he became deadpool and I think there should be weasel but no bob (sorry bob). Then he lives the beginning of his life all BA then joins agent x and have all those characters (or at least most of them). For bad guys I really think Taskmaster would be amazing but idk. Even though deadpool IS my favorite character of all time I don't know that much bout him cuz im a noob :P

Deadpool breaks into Stark Enterprises or SHIELD to steal some tech (without meeting/getting caught by Stark or Fury);
big fight with security/soldiers;
escape (or walking away after killing everyone);
gets double-crossed after handing over tech; gets killed;
insert "Deadpool origin" everything from Weapon X (maybe a little of Death?) upto getting the job, NOT "Wade origin" things before Weapon X;
regenerates/revives, gears-up; revenge, sweet revenge

Suicide Kings would be a really great choice as well. Fox could make a great story into a movie and still have the chance to shamelessly plug in about five characters. All in all, it'd be a good idea as long as it's executed propperly. The same can be said for all the potential stories.

remember that series where t-ray splits 'pool in his separate personalities, and deadpool has to kill all of them for shits and giggles? they should say that baraka deadpool was one of his personalities, and the movie starts out with the ending part of wolveinre origins, then it show deadpool repeatedly shooting and killing baraka while his head is off and he is defenseless. then deadpool spends the movie along the lines of the first few cable and deadpool comics, cept without cable.

Answer is Yes. Just let the Chemistry and personalities of the characters make the movie happen rather than backstories, or any expository needs to be done, the 5 second flashbacks complete with guitar riffs from Inglorious Bastards can make it happen. I like the chemistry that the characters had in Zombieland they did an amazing job of making you care about the characters.

...Rogue DIDN'T fly, Gambit was going to show up in Bryan Singer's X-Men 3, but Brett Ratner screwed it up, we actually don't know if Sabretooth dies, same with Toad, and Superman Returns isn't X-Men. X-Men and X2 were both good movies. The Last Stand and Wolverine ruined the movie series. Bryan Singer should have directed them all.

I was saying that Rogue couldn't fly as part of her mutation, and in the movies she just learned of her power so she shouldn't be able to fly yet, Sabretooth wasn't needed for x2 as that would just be another character to make screen time for and you already know how many characters were in x2. Bryan Singer did better at handling so many characters than Brett Ratner or Gavin Hood did. Singer was the only one able to create quality X-Men films.And he didn't screw up characters like Ratner or Hood

I have no idea about story, but for director, I'd think one of the guys who do Supernatural would be fun. I saw an interview with one of them and they seem to really like (read: adore) funny-esque action and gore sequences. They have great commedic timing and always try to con the network into giving them more blood n' guts per minute. Yeah... Eric Kripke or one of the others get my vote.

I think the story to tell is Circle Chase. If you want to tie it in to the X-Men franchise, maybe have it be something made by Magneto, or maybe have that Ultimate Weapon be a Sentinel/Nimrod type thing. I also agree that having Copycat in there is the best idea for the female lead. So yeah, I pretty much agree with you.

lets say Wilson Fisk (the Kingpin) wants his company rival Norman Osbourne (before the first Spider-man) dead, and hires a group of assassins Bulls Eye, Task-Master, T-ray, Ajax (maybe), Bob agent of HYDRA (lets say he's a new member and his first assignment is to take down Osbourne), Outlaw, and Deadpool (free for all) who gets his weapons from new friend and supplier Weasel. We could say by the end Deadpool teams up with a couple of the assassins.

I'm more worried about the style of writing the script gets more than the story right now. Deadpool's comics have a lot of narrated , 4th wall, & pop culture humor. So if its not directed right, it will just stop start and loose audience interest. So choosing a director for the movie, I reckon the main thing is not to get someone like mike bay who is all flashy sfx. Find a action comedy director, like john landis or ivan reitman. We need a director that can balance/merge action with comedy.

I am loving the daniel way deadpool comics at the minute and would love maybe the 2nd film to be based on some of that. I dont read much current marvel so I got quickly flown through secret invasion into dark reign by that. I would just lob them straight into secret invasion (DP issues 1-3), as it wouldnt have to be given a huge explanation. Then I'd jump from the end of that and osbourne getting plans to kill skrull queen to deadpool watching him do it on tv, then bullseye sent to kill him

U could revive willem defoe easily (goblin serum), give him stupid hair, have him claim Harry was both goblins, and have him fly in in altered goblin armour to win secret invasion and form HAMMER (not from SHEILD, but as a seperate entity). Oh yeah Sam L Jackson cameo too. Then lots of fun with colin farrel, maybe dressed as hawkeye maybe not. Not sure exactly about ending as spaceships at start sort of trumps a huge payoff from bullseye at the end. Maybe DP hires bullseye and they go get osborn

I love the Smokin' Aces type of Deadpool film, because Taskmaster would have to be in it along with even, maybe, hopefully Bullseye.
Also, if this type of film does happen Bob form Hydra can be introduced and at the end of the film he becomes Deadpool's sidekick. Kinda like how it happen in the comics.

i agree that circle chase would be the easiest movie adaptation of the comics... but i also strongly believe that movies dont have to be based on a story line from the comics. thats what a script and writers are for. of course thats where theyll find most of their ideas. but theres nothing wrong with forming a brand new story. you can still stick to deadpool and his roots. and my vote for director would go to sam rami.

I like your Circle Chase/Smoking Aces feat. Deadpool idea. In terms of what Fox as a studio can actually make that doesn't suck, that's probably the safest bet. I t. As for a director, I'd really dig seeing Stephen Chow making this movie. He and Reynolds would almost certainly work well together, and Chow's style is very similar to how we're accustomed to seeing a Deadpool story told. I'd like to see Cable in it too, but you have a good point about his convoluted backstory.

They are. The company and the movie guys both stated that the company that did the x-men origins:wolverine uncaged (PS3 and 360) are going to do the deadpool game

i've been a fan of deadpool since i've heard about him and think one of the better story ideas they could use would be the last instalment of deadpool before the made agent x, the one where DP cuts off rhino's horn and then shrinks him, and of course at the end of the series a bomb goes off and supposedly kills off Deadpool, but thats just me as long as fox does DP justice i'll be happy but i'm not expecting much because its fox

Personally I would really like to see the "Earth 5700" with more Deadpool. And in the end Agent Zero comes back kicks the shit out of everyone then dies, it might be contradicting to the Origins but lets face it, Origins was fucked up. So yeah, "Earth 5700" with Zach Snider (I spelled that wrong) and have a bunch of slow to fast fight scenes with bullets flying everywhere because I mean you know Zero vs DP would be a good fight. Right?

I think Ryan Reynolds could potentially be a good Deadpool...
I am anxious to see how they are going to remove swords from his arms, take away his x-ray vision, rip his mouth open, give him cancer, and explain the whole Wolverine/healing factor deal... But I haven't completely given up hope.
All I am saying, is this movie has quite a bit standing in it's way....

I didn't really like either of the two limited series.
I really loved the Typhoid Mary arc, of very early vol 3.
And the whole lucman and lake arc as a whole is pretty great.
Also, I would like to see how the movie makers integrate Blind Al into the story... I don't think the general movie-goer would get it, seeing as it is confusing as hell.
And, I would prefer to not have to see T-ray... at all.

i'd like to see every one going after deadpool such as taskmaster bullseye t ray and other merc's maybe agent x .he meets weasel gives him a hand not getting caught by pulling out some teleporter type thing and getting them the hell out of there . then we have the whole t ray thing at the big battle and t ray ends up dead (i hate fucking t ray)

they also have to be careful not to try to shove deadpool down the publics mouth to much. ( just look at what they did with wolverine and to a lesser extent venom) with the whole jumping ship thing i dont think he actually just quit on the movie but atmost pushed it back he said he would like to be cult hit like Blade trinity.

I donr have a name in mind but the director has to be a person that loves the charecter so much that they will do everything not to fuck it up instead of a person that just sees it as another project. I think marvel should start with some animated short films to fill the long void until the movie like with the avengers shorts. I think it is a long shot but i love the suicide kings story but its a dream so i think that maybe a mix of things from the early DP series could help the orgin story pt1

Sami Rami would be cool mostly because I think he did a pretty kick ass job on the first 2 spideys. Second I'd love to see bulleye in a movie with deadpool and It would be cool if the guy who played bullseye in the Daredevil movie could play him.

Love your ideas dude, I wish you could direct the Deadpool movie, LOL! But I'd like to see Nolan direct I think... I really love how he played with his latest two Batman movies, a real nice dark tone to it- with humor. Deadpool could probably benifit from Nolan's visionary.
And PS: You are so well informed, I learned a lot about Deadpool (who I just discovered like, two days ago xD I think I'm in love) just from listening to you, your like... a Guru or something. LOL -HAIL-
