Adam Lavine, Music has to have meaning behind it, know yes you can pull the "well eminem had a shit life" but that song about the baby saying "goo goo gaa gaa" when he's driving to kill his wife or whatever is pointless, along with the majority of rap and hip-hop.

@nickgage1162 Now some stuff like Daft Punk, is cool here and there, but not as, "this is so going on my ipod" it's more of a "This would be cool in a Star Wars movie or video game" type of entertainment. I can see how people like you can listen to Eminem, and some other stuff (i'm not into this type of stuff, so names of groupes aren't at the type of my head, eminem is just an example) but not as a "this is my favorite type of (music)." Yes, a lot of mainstream bullshit rappers will go up there and rap about Benz's and booty, but if you actually knew what hip-hop is, you would know it's about the internal and external struggles of growing up poor. And second of all, I don't even listen to hip-hop. In every genre the mainstream artists will make their genre look awful, you would know that if you knew anything about music.
