  • is this really the 1999 version it looks like the other annie

  • my childhood.

  • "Yesterday was plain awful."

    "You can say that again!"

    "YESTERDAY WAS PLAIN AWFUL!"

  • i LOVE their harmony at 1:23♥ its soo pretty :)

  • I like the older version a lot better, but this song is adorable :)

  • so sweet!

  • its great

  • I LOVE THIS SON SO MUCH, is so funny

  • Awww :] <3

  • Buh buh buh anything but you! :)

  • Like this if you were surprised that Daddy Warbucks was Professor Callahan in Legally Blonde!

  • This version actually stayed truer to the original stage version of Annie. But, I guess a lot of people like the '82 one better just because it was the original, "classic" one. I like both the '82 one and this one, though. I do think Aileen Quinn fit the character of Annie better than this girl, but the girl in this one is still a great actress and has a great voice.

  • I like this girl's singing voice. But,somehow I can't get over the original Annie. She just had this unbeatable charm.

  • Did you know the man who plays Daddy Warbucks in this film, also plays Jesus in Godspell?

  • The man sings wonderfully!!!

  • @88wpower no!! Not at all!!!

  • any one els get the feeling this lil girls guna get raped by the end of the video

  • This is probably my favorite version of ANNIE....love it!

  • Yesterday was plain awful - tomorrow has finally come!

  • @Julie11061 I didn't, the auditions were wierd I didn't even sing. So I didn't really care

  • <3 The Best Movie <3

  • i would have liked dancing around the house with my dad like that

    one of my favorite movies

  • Im oliver warbucks for our school play and I love! Performances in 6 days. :)

  • that was amazing .lol i love this song

  • My favorite song is Maybe.

  • @lilymara26 I'm trying out too!! Except for my school

  • That's going to be me I'm trying out for annie on the 5th

  • @lilymara26 did you get the part?

  • HOV!!!!!!!!

  • growing up watching the original, this movie blows major!!!!!!!!!! its second rate actors they pulled out of ridgemont high drama club

  • This movie was alright but i much prefer the 1982 vision to this!

  • (Nederlands) De beste Annie van de wereld

(English) Annie the best in the world

(Francais) Annie le meilleur dans le monde

(Duits) Annie zu den besten der Welt

  • LOOK AT THIS JOINT!

    The 90's. lol.

  • they make a cute daughter and father

  • Anyone know how i could sample it when they say "i don't need anything?"

  • I liked the Daddy Warbucks in the 1982 version--he fit the character better--but I like Annie's voice better in this one. So if it had the choreography from the 1982 and Albert Finney as Daddy Warbucks, it'd be perfect. But it's still a sweet version. The only thing I had a huge problem with was the casting for Grace--not because of her color, but because a biracial romance would not have happened at that time, especially with someone as prominent as Daddy Warbucks.

  • @MrQwerty626 It's funny..their casting for Grace is the main reaosn I LOVE this version! XD I LOVE mixed couples and I found it ABSOLUTLY wonderful that they totally didn't think about color for the movie. Kinda like R&H's Cinderella with Brandy. I wish they did that kind of thing in movies now a days :(

  • @MrQwerty626 agreed

  • I LOVE THIS SONG

  • i think this movie Annie better than the others

  • i love it when she says just look at this joint !

  • is this ellie from degrassi when she was younger?

  • @EDGYGIRL93 no, this is alicia morton

  • @EDGYGIRL93 no ellie's played by stacey farber this is alicia morton

  • Listening to the sountrack isnt as good as watching the scene because Annie's voice sounds a little squeeky without looking at her cute face

  • i have a theatre production of annie...im warbucks and i just love this song!!!!!!i also need to sing his solo;'Something was missing' and i also need to sing;'N.Y.C'....they are all wonderfull!

  • cool movie

  • she's such a good singer!

  • :DD

  • The first version was more based on the comic strip. And set to be an Orphanage back in the 30's.During the depression orphanages were often over filled with kids because people had children they couldn't raise and dropped them at orphanages. The people who ran them where often not very nice to the kids and donations and supplies often didn't reach the children because those ran the orphanages would pocket the money.A lot the kids learned to fight for survival and depend on themselves.

  • i have to sing this in my spring musical.... ughhhh

  • what movie version is this?

  • @dustymew This is the Disney made-for-TV version broadcast on BC in 1999, I believe.

  • We did this last year. My 2nd favourite musical of all time.

    Wonderful song.

  • Bad

  • there socute. but it looks like hes like hes about to say i love you will u marry me in this movie

  • @sydsydney12 i love this movie

  • I like the other annie personally this song isn't as good as the 1982 one. I do love this song tho.

  • :):) Yesterday was plain awful you can say that again yestardsay was plain awful but thats not now thats then!! :) love this musical/movie:)

  • love this moviee

  • omg, we're doing this musical at school. i'm annie and my best guy friend in the whole world is mr. warbucks... and he's shorter than me... by 2 in.

  • i prefer the 1982 version of this song

  • one of my favorite songs in this movie. <3 it sooo much!

  • cute

  • look at 2:06

you see Annie's mouth move but its Warbucks part to sing :o

  • hehehe i'm doin annie atm, thanks for helping me practise :)

  • look whos singing?? its victor!! LOL i love him!!!!i like watching him here.

i close my eyes and just listen to his voice in godspell. haha

  • This is the new annie... I forgot they made this..

  • im annie in my

    play

  • @jonasandcullengirl I am hoping to be

  • I have to be Warbucks in this play. I don't sing. much.

  • lol she said joint

  • @jozellpettigrew this was taken placen in 1930

  • I didn't know Victor Garber could sing like that!

  • Victor Garber is a great stage actor! I've seen him myself! :)

  • Yeah he's from the city where I live! He acted at the Grand Theatre here...

  • @righteousgroove he was on broadway! :D

  • where can I get this movie from 1999? because I have the 1989 one but not the 1999 one so please tell me and cand you do a video of you sining this please?

    !

  • What year is this version from? I prefer this one to the 1982 version..

  • it's the 1999 version.

  • @LadyVIolence

Same here.. I still haven't seen this 1999 version, but I still prefer the original movie..

  • i love them... omg! i was looking for this part for a long time !!

  • i love both of them. nd this is deffinatly on of my favorite songs from annie. soooo cute.

  • Did anyone ever find this song slightly creepy. I mean, ever so slightly?

  • No, its supposed to be cute. And happy, and that she has found her father. ITs not creepy at all, its nice :)

    I love this song

  • It is cute and happy that she has found her father. It just seems a bit creepy, that's all, especially with the lyrics.

  • The lyrics is what makes it cute

  • I love this version. Annie is such a cutie! However I can't say I've seen the 1982 version all the way through, so I suppose I can give you guys some credit. :)

  • aw come on, i love this version, i mean, they're both good but, i like this one better. This Annie's cuter and all =)

  • 1:17-1:20 and the ending was cute, i never saw the new version yet, i love the original movie! =)

  • This is good, but I think the original's better. But maybe it's because I saw the 1982 film first....

  • my middle school did a musical of this, and as it turns out, Annie was taller than Warbucks! lol!

  • I agree, the 1882 film is SUPERLATIVE!! It had depth and humanity! This is cheesy. Aileen Quinn had so much more spunk and attitude. This Disney version is postmodern pastiche!

  • OMG,sorry but 1982 is the one and only best final medley ive ever seen, sorry for the 1982 haters. :(

  • i think this one is the best, it truly captures what annie really was about...

  • mega ranger dont be an F ING hater if you domt like it then dont watch it this is personally my facorite version of the song

  • what did she say at 0:49 to 0:53 ?

  • "and whats that bathtub tune you always used to buh buh boom"... i think. no im positive

  • This is good, but the original will always be the best.

  • i think this is crap. The 1982 version is the best and always will be.

Alicia Morton is great actress and a good annie dont get me wrong.

I just think the original is way better

  • The only reason the 1982 version was ACCEPTABLE was because it wasn't lacking in its dark and depressing orphanage theme like the 1999 version is.

But other than that the children's voices were BELOW AVERAGE and the plot moved rather slowly. And that is why the original is not as good.

  • every time i see Victor Garber he looks way different... haha

(In godspell he had an afro, in titanic he had hair and now hes bald.)

By the way, this was not intended to be mean... i just thought it was pretty funny.

  • Well, we saw him in Godspell and then we didn't see him for 26 years.

  • buh buh buh lol

  • For some reason I just always felt this version of the movie Annie was a bit more heart felt then the previous one. She was always kinda looking out for herself in the first one and the second one she protects the other girls. I don't know, maybe it's just me but I LOVE this song. I love singing it just around places

  • @savingjane18 i totally agree! i couldnt really tell why, but ive always liked this version better too

  • @savingjane18 i like that song tooooooo

  • @savingjane18 in my opinion

I think the original is better. I think this is more of a "copycat" version. But, I do think this one is better in some ways.

  • @savingjane18 the other one is best for me i just love we got annie sign dumb dog and lets go to the movies

  • @savingjane18 Evidentally you didn't watch the original version very closely. The first scene she goes and comforts Molly when she has a bad dream. The orginal version destroys this one.

  • @Surfer041 yea i know why they gotta go an make the almost exact same one except difernt people

  • this is amazing!!

i love this movie, i dont like the 1980 one

i have always wanted to be annie in a play

  • I agree - this one just has that disney magic.

  • I love this annie. It has my favorite actress Kristen Chenoweth in it (shes the mean lady not mrs hannigan but her brothers wife/fianc'e) and this Annie is absolutely adorable not to mention her hair is 10 times better than the original Annie's lol but thats besides the point I love this movie but I still love the original as well. :)

  • OMG, Kristen is my inspiration and I'm a guy! She's my favorite Broadway star! I wanna be a Broadway star too! Though, she's also my favorite actress as well. Kristen is just amazing! I like her in this movie ha ha.

  • She's mine too!!! I love Kristen shes so cute :)

  • I got Miss Hannigan for my play earlier today on broadway, I had to be all mean and stuff and sing little girls with a disgusted face, it irritated me a lot i love smiling!!!!!!

  • i love thisssss

  • at last! a vid of the annie ive seen awsome too

  • wow cool. where did you find this from? i am trying to find that tomorrow song the one the sectary sings

  • who are these people ha!!!

like the girl and man who played the other one!!!

  • I LOvE tHiS sOnG =]

  • this annie is sooooo cute.

  • loLz i love this part of the movie he routfit and hair makes her adorable!

  • I love both movies, some things are not the same but thats fine love them anyway.=)

  • I like both versions. I haven't seen the old one for a while but I remember it is awesome.

  • This is perhaps the best disney Musical. Fileld with happiness and the lyrics are so full with optimism. When you're feelings down-listen to this!

  • this version sucks

  • Heh, I have to say I prefer the older movie much more. The other girl was much much more loveable and (sorry for those of you that like this one...) a better singer with a more convincing personality.

But....I like them as a pair singing this song the way they do. It's so upbeat and...oh, I just can't get over it. To me it's the only good thing that came out of this version of the movie.

(again, sorry to those of you that love this version, I just prefer the other one.)

  • this is my favorite disney movie. I have never seen the older version....

  • you're missing out hun. :D

  • well we cant find the old one....

  • Ah, finding it does help. Every now and then it'll appear on youtube (and get taken down again), so check around for that. But if you want a more permanent edition of it, just be patient with local bookstores or whatevers (I got mine at borders) and it's bound to appear somewhere eventually. Honest, it's worth it.

  • loLzyup loLz! thanks

  • trust me...the old one is good too! The Annie movies are too hard to compare for me. Alicia & Aileen were fabulous if anyone knows any other movies they are in, feel free to let me know!

  • I was warbucks in this show once and this song was the most embarrasing one to do and I enjoyed every minute of it!

  • i LOOOVE the vocals for this song!!!!

i usually prefer the 1982 one, but this version of this song wins hands-down!!!

  • we are doing annie for school and im an orphan and our shows are april 30, may 1st, and may 2nd! im so excited!!!!!! : )

  • do you go to CHS in canton?

  • nope. i go to a school that will be remained unknown. hehe

  • I'm about to audition fr Annie, I'm excited!

  • i don't know how many times I've watched this movie!

    I really Loved it!

  • I LOOOOVE THIS SONG!! i love this annie! i sort of look exactly like her. or, i did, when i was her age, curly red hair, we looked like EXACTLY alike!

  • the original is way better with Ann Reinking and ect is so much these guys are really bad compaired to the original

  • my school is also doin annie i am kate we all luv this spng we dont know y tho

  • This brings back memories,at my school we have just had our last performance of annie i was a orphan but we had such a amazing cast every 1 was really good including the girl who played annie ! =[ wish we could perform it all again lol

  • The old one's a classic! Remakes of "classics" usually suck, but this one is great! I'll never be as great as the original, but always 2nd!

I don't need anything but you!

  • I love this Annie! And Alicia Mortan's really good!

  • i really only like this version, i dont really like the original 1.

  • Samee

  • good luck with that

  • i'm playing annie at my school in April and i need to learn these songs... and QUICKLY!

  • Same !! But we just fineshed all our 4 things today .... A Standing ovation for all of them =D

  • im july on my play. honestly lucie stewart sucked!!!!

  • were doing this in my school and im warbucks and this song is in my f-ing head

  • I like this version more than the old one. But I think they are both wonderful.

  • God I love this so much. The little girl is just too adorable, along with Victor.

  • I love Victor Garber and Albert Finney. I do have to say that the original is so much better than this new one

  • I own both versions. Honestly, I have to say that the Garber version is better. I think the Finney version gets campy. You may be interested in knowing that the Finney version is on the list of the "worst films ever made!"

  • i love this song you made the best video

  • thx! Im not that good but thanx. I actually got callbacks for ms.hannigan but since Im a 6th grader they gave it to the 8th grader but the 8th grader is amazing! Im happy though

  • Nicen song

  • i love this song so much, it reminds me of when i was little. i would watch this movie over and over again and my dad would pretend to be daddy warbucks and danced with me to this song like everyday.

thinking about it almost makes me cry

  • i got warbucks but i hate this song

  • im july in annie! They are so cute together

  • Congratulations! July is an awesome part. I bet you are an awesome singer.

  • IM ANNIEEE. (:

Then im grace in another show. (:

    xx

  • This is my favorite part of the movie! My school is doing this this musical tonight and they are almost as good as Mr. Warbucks and Annie. Annie has the most amazing voice I've ever heard!

  • My school is doing one in a few monthes, and I'm Mr.Warbucks, im studying my part right now
