  • OVER EPIC !!!!!!!

  • I love how they didn't censor "the bloodiest cadaver", in other words, a bloody dead body, but they censored "crush" out of out the line and made it sound like he was door fucking someone's face.

Good job MTV. You never cease to amaze me.. -__-

  • Class act

  • Comment removed

  • censorship ftl. wtf.

  • cant believe todd fell of the wagon i hope the guys help him in his time of need i know he's burned them before but drug addiction is a mother fucker hope they keep it together

  • thumbs up if claudios voice sounds amazing in this performance.

  • wtf why did the cut the sound when he said crush ????

  • @SEFROTEE He changes up lyrics, he said fuck your face in the door.

  • When an acoustic album comes out. I'm going to buy the shit out of it!

  • @thegreatermuh the already have an acoustic album

  • @matthewsinist3r Really?! What's it called and how do I get it?

  • @thegreatermuh Kerrang/UK XFM Acoustic Sessions exclusively on itunes .

  • @thegreatermuh actually its not there anymore, i got it when it was on itunes, if you have a demonoid.com account, they'll probably have it there to download

  • damn, the ending sounds fucking sick, they fucking get it at the guitars.

  • Mind blown.

  • damn his sweet, alluring voice..

  • One person is...well...I don't actually have a clever statement about the one person to dislike this, so I'd say one person is just fucking stupid.

  • makes me wonder if mike ever gets bored just sitting there.. hes a damn good bassist but sometimes it just looks like claudio and travis are doing all the work man. but i like chris pennie better as the drummer..

  • @recon139 I sometimes wonder that too. Mike is such an awesome bassist, especially in SSTB. That's where he shines.

  • @TheRy2113 oooh yeah dude, went and saw them last night at the jannus live in st petersburg florida, 10 year anniversary and he was absolutely shining, before the show i waved to him and he actually nodded to me. lol. i even saw claudios wife, and she talk to my girlfriend xD i feel special haha. best concert ever

  • @recon139 they're also the nicest people i've ever met. last august in st louis my friends and I waited with other fans at the back of the venue we got to talk to Travis and Claudio and they both signed my ticket. That was one great night. Neverender STTB was even better.

  • @TheRy2113 yeah there the first band ive ever seen that actually gets dwn and mingles within the crowd before the show, mike acknowledged me when i waved to him lmao i wish i coulda met claudio, i was within walking distance but the damn autograph hounds were all on him and i figured he'd been bothered enough : /but yeah i saw neverender STTB just last week at the jannus and it tops as the best concert ive seen EVER. one of the fence for life :D

  • @recon139 For sure! Coheed live is the best! Their stage presence, the musical skills that they possess, the lighting effects, basically EVERYTHING is incredible. Also, their fanbase is just down right amazing. They show so much love it's awesome.

  • one of very few songs ive heard that translates to acoustic really well love this song!

  • @nikewatch1987 I don't know if I've heard a song yet by Coheed that didn't translate well to acoustic..

  • Great jam.

  • I actually like the shorter hair for some reason.... like starland ballroom i thinkit was good cause it never got in his face and he could play better? idk im kinda just rambling lol

  • Comment removed

  • i miss when they had mad long hair

  • I FREAKING LOVE THIS BAND. I WISH I WAS IN THAT BAND :D

  • So stupid. Damn censors.

  • It's weird for something like this to be on MTV. They usually don't give a shit about guitar solos (what half of this is). It's too soulful for MTV. Shouldn't it be something like My Chemical Romance (joke). Anyways this is fucking incredible, to do those solos on acoustics.

  • Who the hell disliked this video!? It's amazing!

  • Perfect performance by Claudio. I'd listen to this over the album version any day.

  • @Bolgorak Why do you only mention Claudio? Collectively they are a band, how about perfect performance by Coheed and Cambria, and not just Claudio? Ignorant fool.

  • @cobaltandlies of course it's a great performance by the whole band, but claudio really has some outstanding moments in this. I think that's what he/she meant.

  • want to buy his voice, thank you.

  • i loooove Claudios voice! it's cool because in all his interviews he has a normal voice, but when he sings it's like something inhuman! beautiful. i want to take vocal lessons from whoever taught him! lol it must be awkward to have to voluntarily censor certain parts of the song.

  • Claudio has the most unique and awesome voice that I've heard in a while. The other being Dax Riggs.

  • When I cover this song, I have now gotten into the habit of saying "fuck your face in that door" haha

  • Coheed is the beat band sinse zepp rush Floyd. No one plays music like them today.

  • @Stormshadow612 because everyone sells out.....Coheed sticks to their roots....the reason they started....and epic saga...a story....their music has purpose...and i hope....HOPE...they never lose that....when that happens i will die a little inside....and God will kill the entire population of Canada

  • This version of this song is an EPIC JAMMMmMMMmMmmm. damn thats chillin :)

  • You know what's strange, is to think that that fellar back there drumming (Josh), is now a rapper, and an amazing one actually.

  • I wish they sounded like this now-a-days. :/

  • @VeloriumApollo they played this song when i saw them last night and i daresay they sounded this good for sure. Different solos obviously cause this song is heavily improvised but still they killed it.

  • @VeloriumApollo Hey I like you handle (name) here on youtube...Almost as good as mine :) LMAO

  • SICK!

  • @SJserio wow I did and I am beyond impressed with the guy, I just didn't hear it in any of their songs. I was wrong about the dude, obviously he's knows what's up, just don't accuse me of not listening to coheed, bc a live acoustic version of the final cut isn't really a video you watch if you don't know these guys

  • @jb8769 Like, you should listen to songs like Cuts Marked In The March Of Men. The bass is incredible in that song

  • @JuanpiTheGunslinger will do, i didnt mean to sound ignorant before, i just needed a little guidance i guess lol, thanks for the suggestion

  • @jb8769 Hahaha, thats ok =P

  • @Deanetc

I didn't mean that he sucks in general, it's just in coheed, he doesn't do much. if he's a good bassist they shud let him have more freedom and let him play rather than have him sit there and strum every couple of minutes

  • @jb8769 dude, you have no idea what you are talking about. what, have you listened to coheed for like one hour and based your judgment on that? he has amazing bass parts, obviously the final cut acoustic doesnt do it for him... check out "mic todd bass solo".

  • after listening to coheed for a while and then seeing this video, I've come to the conclusion that their bassist sucks and shudnt even be there, he's not doing anything anyway and he is noticeably absent from all of their songs, like he is wasting his time lol

  • @jb8769

He's a great bassist and provides a lot of backing vocals, wtf are you talking about? O_o

  • FUCK YES

  • AMAZING

  • Why are they on accoustics... This song is obviously not meant for this. Poor guitars =[

  • @TheRealBoof It's amazing on acoustics. Personally i prefer it.

  • gawd i so love this video!!!! CoCa forever!!!

  • why censor "Crush"??? wth?

  • @jhogiboy I know right

  • forget like, can i LOVE this video?!

  • so talented

  • MTV sucks! Coheed deserves better!

  • since when is crush a bad word??

  • ...they censored "crush." What the FUCK.

  • @Crazykid4454 lol, it makes it sound like he was trying to say "i'd fuck your face in the door" haha btw, 1:30 BASTARD!!!! :]

  • is there a version mtv didn't rape with censorship?

they edited out bastard, whore, crush (your face in the door).

MTV, home of shows like JERSY SHORE, censored this.

    fuck!!!

  • i love you hahahah

  • really sucks that they (mtv?) cut out some words ...

  • CLAW DEE YO!

  • Claudio is GOD!

  • lol The faces Claudio makes are priceless.

It's fun to watch him have so much fun :]

  • does anyone know what rute sticks josh is using?

  • im so lucky i lived in coheed's era

truly d best band in d planet!!!

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

    Damnit!

    They edited the good parts....

I oughta crush their faces in the door....lol

  • Danm Claud needs ta get one of those electronic ciggerets that produse vapor

  • His voice isn't getting tired because he's smoking, it's a factor, but it's not it. the range in which he's singing is what kills his voice. the start of a coheed tour is always going to be better than the end, his voice wears out with constant use. smoking doesn't help, but it isn't why. The occasional scream or two he does, causes a large amount of damage to his vocal chords as well. it's many different factors.

  • That and the fact that he's not a kid anymore on top of his acid reflux :P

  • sounds like claudio's got some fret buzz going on around his 16th fret! nice to know he and his gear are'nt perfect...

  • i love the edit out of crush in "if i had my way i'd crush your face in the door"

  • i need to figure out what kind of strings they use because they have a beautiful bluesy sound that i cant reproduce to save my life lol

  • They are using Taylor guitars...thats prob. why you cant reproduce the sound. Their musical equiment is very costly...

  • very true

    +10000

  • .....Costly equipment means nothing, tonality wise.

  • Uuuh.. yeah it does. Equipment, amp and pick-ups/mics are the 3 core components that make up your tone.

  • I was responding to the dbag's who said "Oooh they are using Taylor guitars, thats why you can't reproduce the bluesy sound". In all actuality any decent acoustic can achieve a similar tone.

  • Yeah, exactly. I don't know how someone could say any different.

  • How could you think something like that to be true?

  • Its very true, you are not going to be the shit because you have good equipment. I know a guy who owns a local music shop that plays a cheap acoustic that he found in the garbage and uses it as his main guitar. Though you usually get what you pay for, doesn't mean you are or aren't good because of mediocre equip.

  • Oh no not at all, the equipment doesn't make the player. But low quality equipment will never measure up to higher end stuff.

  • you can admire someones abilitys, and such they are playing, but i have a friend who owns a 75 doller crescent strat-look a like, and a 1200 jackson, and listening to him play either is much different, becasue he just can't play everything he knows on the crescent, it just doesn't happen. equipment is one of the most important factors, it doesn't mean a great guitarist can't make a cheapo sound good, but it is absolutely neccesary to have good equipment to achieve the next level.

  • That was not really what I was arguing, there were a couple of fools down below stating something along the lines that "ohh you can only get that tone from a taylor guitar" etc etc, completely untrue.

  • Daddario makes a huge variety of strings for varying sound. you could probably start there.

it might have something to do with the guitar as well. i know they use Taylor guitars. but i don't know if they're custom or not.

they seem to have a slim and long neck, and the fact that they have a cut-away body might play a big role as well

  • Anyone else notice the habbit of people editing the videos of their live performances, not showing the good parts as they happen? I mean here it wasnt so bad, but there were plenty of parts where I didn't want to see the BACK of Claudios guitar during the solo.

  • Haha, wow, way to censor stupid things. The way they censored "I'd crush your face in the door" at 1: 48 makes it sound like 'Id fuck your face in the dark."

  • lmao!!!!! id fuck yo face in the dark

  • hahhahahaha omg that made my day lol

  • @bloodredpeter fuckin hilarious

  • the actual lyrics are "i'd crush your face in the door" but your lyrics are WAY funnier "id fuck yo face in the dark" lolz!! props for creative thinking!

  • @IWishGoddammit no joke my mother said that once in the car cause my dumbass bought the censored cd on accident then me and mother had an awkward convo about the lyrics

  • @IWishGoddammit i laugh everytime i read ur comment haha..and ur exactly right. dumb MTV.

  • @IWishGoddammit

Claudio could fuck my face, but I'd rather it be with the lights on if at all possible.

  • @triedtosavemyself

    LMFAO!!! ur tha best!

  • @triedtosavemyself thats sick.

  • @triedtosavemyself He doesn't say fuck your face in the dark... If that's what you're referencing. He says fuck your face in the door.

  • @JammusMDH no its not fuck your face in the door either lol its crush your face in the door i guess they edited because its pretty violent

  • @Drshakalu7 He does say fuck your face in the door actually, as JammusMDH said, he changes lyrics up when he's live.

  • @Egoasm Quit being silly. Everyone knows he changes lyrics when he wants to, but why would he, on an edited set, self-edit himself to say "fuck your face in the dark", instead of "crush your face in the door"?

He obviously just refrained from saying crush and later said door a bit oddly. Try seeing the forest for the trees.

  • @Solandrios Well when I've seen them do this song live and acoustic 2/3 times the lyrics where changed to "Fuck your face in the door." So it's pretty obvious to me, maybe not too others.

  • @IWishGoddammit I cracked up at your comment!

  • @IWishGoddammit OMFG UR right .. shits hilarious ..

i love the performance tho .. claudio is awesome ..

  • @IWishGoddammit I like those lyrics better. So much more passion. :)

  • 2:22 cant do that anymore. i sure do miss it....

  • I just listened.. he can definately still do the part at 2:22...

    Question mark.

  • He has to really be sporting his A game to be able to do that

  • It's sad... that's what happens when you smoke. Most people say it's acid reflux, but sorry acid reflux doesn't cause it to deplete as bad as it is now. Still my favorite band though.. wish Coheed could keep up the vocals

  • you are retarded shut up

  • nah i feel ya man. He can't hit those high pitched notes as well. like in the light and the glass, and other high pitched parts in other sogns i've noticed while watching neverender and stuff... i miss it sooo much. still epicness. he's voice is still great.

  • i think this song is so much better acoustic. the album version is definitely badass, but this just sounds so right

  • we need an uncensored one.

  • anyone notice how claudio says "cut" right away as the video starts and then later on they edit "cut" out of the song....fuckin mtv

  • i love how claudio is just totally down in this song.

  • Hes so fucking young here. I didn't know high quality performances this old existed.

One thing though. Why the hell did they censor "crush" during "crush your face in the door" ?

  • wow, they silenced crushed?

  • 3.21 mmmmm just love that solo!

  • The best of Co&Ca is when thier having fun, you can definitly tell that at least Claudio is having fun here.

  • DAMN this song sounds good on acustic :P

  • while you all are arguing over drug habits and whose a better drummer...im enjoying these amazing musicians...acoustic has such a sick groove...

  • penny is technically better than josh, but some people like josh's sense of groove in coheed. no theres no need to argue about it. and also drugs should have nothing to do with the drums argument. it may make him a shitty person but that kind of stuff happens in bands. so get over it you buttbabies

  • kasinecz, why just pick eppard out as the junkie. why not mic.?

pennie's to technical i think, he doesn't have the groove or love for coheed as josh did.

and to say he was shit because he chose drugs over the band is just petty.

if pennie had wrote the drums to all the albums i bet he wouldn't of had the same smooth intertwinning flow that eppard had going on.

pennies good but he's not eppard.

  • People, People... No need to argue, Coheed and Cambria is great, all around.

  • dude i know eppard did all the albums before i'm just talking bout NWFT. douche.

  • Comment removed

  • SSTBlade, no. he doesnt say fuck. Would claudio really say i'd fuck your face in the door? HELL NO. it just takes a little bit of brains to think about it. Just a little

  • isint it id kick your

     face

  • Nah. its i'd crush your face in the door.

  • sparxxx, to say that eppard did'nt do complex drum beats is literally blasfemie. listen to 2113, time consumer. plus i'd like to see you do triplets on the bass pedal with one foot, most drummers wouldn't try to even incorporate this into an acoustic set. think before you state your opinion.

  • why would they block out crush......??? wow

  • Claudios expression and the way he sings at 1:51 sends chills down my spine. This isn't just music, its art.

  • His work on the guitar, vocals and lyrics have always been something deeper than just a sound. A true fan of music can appreciate the emotion he puts into his work.

  • wow....censored.

  • nice

  • This is epic, I can play this on guitar and its alot of fun. See the thing is with chris pennie is just is good as Josh Eppard just different style.....I like it....very smooth drumming... :D

  • claudio sounds great here,

i still think this song works better with the heavier sound

    its all about the power!

    this is still fucking epic!

  • chris pennie has alot drumming skills but he doesnt know how to write it, hes not vry good at writting solos and changing it up, were as josh can play the compy and make u wonder wat hes doin at the same time

  • he wrote good apollo one and 2... he just didnt record..

  • Pennie only wrote NWFT. It was all Josh/better before

  • chris pennie wrote it, but had to simplify it because taylor hawkins couldn't play it.

thats why the drums aren't half as epic on NWFT than they are on the other albums.

  • Chris pennie didn't join coheed until NWFT.....That's josh playing it, you dolt.

  • Chris Pennie only wrote NWFT. and the reason its not half as epic as the other albums is because JOSH EPPARD isn't tearing shit up anymore.

  • Josh never tore shit up. Josh was terrible compared to pennie. he picked drugs over his band, fuck him. pennies better anyway. as someone has previously stated, the drums aren't as good because taylor hawkins played them.

  • From what I read in interviews, Mic gave Josh the painkillers( which Mic said was basically heroine in pill form) he was using, they BOTH got addicted and soon bought heroine instead. They both at one point "picked drugs over their band" Mic just got clean alot sooner.

I can't make you think Josh was a great drummer, but he had a great sense of groove, especially with triplets on a single pedal. He probably did his best drumming on the crowing and WW1:FFTFE.

    But chris belongs in dillinger.

  • On a side note: Anybody that hates the fact I have an opinion and like josh more than pennie coheed wise.

    2 things

Pennie is the man, On Miss Machine, his drums are fucking amazing, I honestly liked him alot better in Dillinger. (I've seen him twice with the 'heed and it isn't the same)

And Yes, I know Pennie is better technically skilled wise.

He went to college to major in music, Josh Dropped out of High School

I've put in my two cents, like I said it's my opinion.

  • It's more than Mic got sober faster, Josh just didn't get sober. He felt as if he had no real problem and didn't feel the need to fix it. Mic got kicked out and immediatly tried to clean up, because he decided what was important. and, josh was deffinitly a great drummer, but the thing with a single pedal, is like bring a knife to a gun fight. , but did have a good sense of groove. i haven't heard any acoustic sets that pennies played, but i'm thinking josh is probably better for that.

  • Josh got clean, man. He still is, too, as far as I know. He didn't rejoin Coheed because he felt that the "rockstar" life style would cause him to relapse.

Seriously, man... When it comes to something so serious and personal you should make sure you KNOW before you speak.

  • I agree Josh was a god. I think the drum part to 'willing well pt 1" is amazing the fills are so fun to play. Its really technical. I never noticed how technical he could get. But I can't wait to see what Pennie does in their next album.I love both drummers styles.

  • i agree.josh had a way better groove and showed way more emotion than chris could ever hope to.but u have to agree that if not for chris coheed may not still be around.josh is still one of my favourite drummers of all time though.

  • Believe me I love Chris as well. He didn't want to be in Dillinger anymore so it was kind of a god send. Believe me, I'm not like "Coheed should just bring Josh back" which is clearly impossible since Josh wants to rap and play in mours or with his brother, more power to him. I give credit to Micheal Petrak and Matt Williams(of he is legend) as well for holding the band together too. I remember back in 06 when I found out josh had just left I was like fuck they're probably breaking up.

  • It isn't that hawkins can't play it, it's that he just showed up for the sessions and kinda wung it. he didn't do any preparation before hand or anything, he showed up to the studio, he recorded some tracks. Pennie showed him some stuff, but he didn't have taylor religoiusly practice it, like pennie did to create it.

  • hes playin in different time signatures and all that good stuff. what his solos focus more on are tech. than a beat that just continues. everyone is so close minded to the fact that josh left but you know what? he did, so get over it. chris is better than josh hands down. josh just kept the groove. nothing really complex or anything.

  • man i'm realizing. josh is one of the greatest groove drummers i've heard. Like he's up there with Bernard purdie even. He knows what goes where. Like in god send conspirator at the end, who the fuck would think of that?? so awesome!!

  • Where Can i download this?!? :O

I want this on my ipod sooo bad!!!

  • I got it!! :D

I'll share it if you people want it :P

  • Please message me the torrent, il love you for ever.

  • wow i need that.

  • go frostbite

  • holy, claudio's voice sounds amazing here

  • It really does.

  • who is that on bass??? (i know the origional 1 had left 4 a bit at that point)
