Iran was demonized from day 1 since the hostage taking. It also breathed life into a dying Militant/Patriot machine in the US that was suffering b/c of Vietnam. So, nobody in the neighborhood really wanted to be assoc. w/Irans actions. While Saddam sought to use it to empower himself. And the Arabs fed him to be a loyal guard dog. One has to ask the question: What would have become of the Iranian revolution minus the hostage crisis. Did it serve the country as a whole? Or awaken a nemesis?
The blue print of the islamic republic is to always be involved in k'aos & national emergency, either foreign or domestic. In the name of national emergency they have eliminated oposition in a fierce & systematic way. That's how they have maintained power & survived. They are alwasy involved in some kind of hostage taking, war, or crises.
The Legacy of this revolution is that Islamic Republic ranks number one in heroin addiction in the world, number two in executions of children after china and let's not forget the difference in population. 3 million killed in an unnecessary 8 year war with Iraq and 6 million in exile. Public hanging and stoning and tortures of political prisoners. What a LEGACY of a fascist regime keeping 70 million hostage
"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs."
The fellow reports "12 year olds were pulled out of school and sent to the war fronts". That is totally false. There could be 15, 16 year olds who went to the fronts, but it was most definitely all voluntary. The nation was awash with volunteers for the defence of the fatherland. No one had to be forced.
It may not be the flag you have a problem with, perhaps it's the corporate government. Please learn more about America before doing this cause it could cause me to fight when you fuckup a good flag. Learn about the bankers and what they have done. Listen to Ron Paul before you hate us.
Also, outside of the US, the US flag is associated with US government, US military, and acts of aggession they are iinvolved in. Uncomplementary behavior towards the flag does not necessarily imply hating Americans across the board.
I agree with you on Ron Paul. His positions made so much sense. He is so genuine. I am disappointed at the American political system that lets lets characters currently running the show through, but shuts out someone of Dr. Paul's qualities.
