  • Ours is nice and quiet, but the POS latch broke off the inside of the control panel, as it is all cheap plastic crap

  • We had a similar problem, it turned out to be a chicken bone in the garbarator blade. Just cleaned it out and no issue since.

  • Yes, clean out the chopper blade area. Diagram and parts lists here: Find at Appliance Parts Pros dot Com with partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=5170524&diagram_id=28468042#d28468042

(seems YouTube won't let me post a link).

  • Yes, clean out the chopper blade area. Diagram and parts lists here:

Disassemble in-tub assembly. Cap screw on top of washer arm. 3 screws to remove the filter plate. 1 lets for the the impeller. 6 take out the discharge housing AND filter. Chopper is the flat blade thing under the filter. Rinse and clean EVERYTHING including the "moat." All tubin too. Reassemble and hope for the best.

  • you need to clean out the chopper, you must have a piece of bone or something that it can't chop up.

  • I have the same noise on mine. Did you find the problem yet ?

  • @TORONTOWEDDINGPIPER No. After about a month or two, the noise stopped. Don't know what happened to start it or what stopped it.

  • Its a piece of junk, I have had to fix my 3 times in 5 years
