A train crashing into a pickup truck doesn't equal raw carnage like this... More than likely, the truck driver would be dead, the truck would be totaled and the train would be completely intact.

What, was the truck carrying high-powered explosives at the time? :-/ I've never seen this movie until now, so if there's anyone who knows the answer, please enlighten me because I'm drawing a blank here... :P

And best of all, the filmmakers clearly researched railway collisions, while factoring in the laws of physics, to portray a train derailment resulting from a charging, 5,000 pound pickup truck. Super 8 sucked the sweat off a dead dog's ballz. The only good part was when it was revealed that the pickup truck's driver survived the collision. Must've been those amazing 1979 safety features that made the difference.

Such a great movie :) This was one of the best action scenes I have seen so far. Great effects visually and very detailed down to the lights of the train on the boys, the wind simulation, fire, green screen effects, acting, and everything else used in this production were perfect! I honestly did not think I would like this movie, but when I saw it, it became one of my favorite. Such a good movie! :)

@MegaHardrockgirl It was a great movie, as I had said in my first comment :] and thanks for the comment :D The details in movies just really interest me now that I am working with special effects, myself. Nothing in that video would be easy to make.. It takes A LOT of work, even with technology, even though it does help so much more. I was big eyed and bouncing in my seat when I saw the action scenes in Super 8 because it all excited me so much...
