you got things all wrong about the resolution for both the 360 and ps3 versions of FFXIII. 1 square enix confirmed that FFXIII for both 360 and ps3 will run at 720p resolution for the in-game graphics and 2 they also confirmed that the pre-rendered cut-scenes for the ps3 version will run at 1080p and the 360 version will run at 720p so as you see both 360 and ps3 versions of the in-game graphics both run at 720p but the cut-scenes run at different resolutions

i have a 46 inch lcd 1080p with built in hard drive and blue tooth . i beleive you about yours and i dont really watch television i think its boring and a waste of time the only reason i have a tv is for when i play games. This game isnt even 1080p for xbox they made it 720.

another thing the audio for FFXIII on 360 never got compressed because the 360 version of FFXIII is using dolby digital 5.1 and the ps3 version is using PCM- Pulse-code-modulation audio . PCM audio was made exclusively for high def formats such as blu-ray and hd dvd so PCM cant be used on dvd's cause the bit rate frequency is far too high for dvd's to handle unless they use the compressed version of PCM which the dvd can handle but square did it smart by using dolby digital for the 360 version

you saying that the graphics didn't have that much space but according to mistwalker , they said that blue dragon had a total of 30,000 polygons for the characters and 50'000 polygons for the towns , trees , water , mountains and more and the in game graphics runs at full 720p and the cut-scenes runs at native 1080i and upscaled 1080p that's what they said and the reason they were able to fit all of that content was because almost the whole game was all in-game not pre-rendered like FFXIII was.
difficult to develop on hd consoles and adding the amount of stuff that FF7 has would also be too difficult to develop . that alone just proves that square are straight up lazy bitches

square confirmed that FFXIII's pre-rendered cut-scenes took up 32.6 GB of space and I do believe it. see unlike FFXIII blue dragon only had like 5 or 6 pre-rendered cut-scenes through out the whole game and the rest was all in-game and because of that mistwalker was able to put towns to explore , forests , mountains , dungeons , outer space , an air ship to fly anywhere you want and more and the same goes for lost odyssey and lost odyssey is far bigger then both blue dragon and FFXIII

@KB3594 if anything I blame MS for being so cheap and not using another disc format to hold larger games. if they didn't want to use HD-DVD because it was too expensive , then why didn't they use FVD -foward versatile disc then ? it has 30 GB of space just like HD-DVD but it's better cause it uses the same red lasers that dvd's uses and works on dvd players too and it costs as much as dvd's. 360 can handle anything the ps3 can do but but it's the dvd's that's holding the 360 back not cpu.

@Rican856 Like I said in my last comment is not only about dvd's and blue ray, it's the cpu and gpu, the ps3 has powerful cpu, and the 360 has a powerful gpu, but the ps3 cpu works with the rsx gpu.That means the ps3 can go beyond what the 360 does, in the graphical department.
@KB3594 how is that possible when the 360's GPU alone has a total polygon count of 500 million polygons per sec while the rsx only has a total polygon count of 300 million polygons per sec ? yes the cell is very powerful but the 360's CPU is no slouch either. remember IBM the creators of the cell also created the 360's CPU and the 360's 3 cores has 6 threads in total and not only that but the 3 cores the 360 has are a modified versions of the PPE in the Cell processor don't forget that.
@Rican856 Look at the ps3 ray tracing, I've seen some vid's were the cell alone pull of some nice graphics, you don't believe me look it up.Yes the Xenon share some common roots but it's far from par with the ps3.But remember the Xenon is nothing but a slightly modified version of the Cell Broadband Engine.

@covage09 well ok you have to change disc but look at what you just said...One disc you can lose that disc and you will be on the third part with is the third disc for 360. The only thing that you need to do is pop that cd in and just play it from there.

FF13 on the xbox has to use three or more discs to play the game, where as the PS3 only needs one disc thanks to Blu-ray technology.(this why PS3 too expensive from start)
Well for Enix I don't think winning is the deal here, they just want to expand final fantasy 13 to a different console, so that fans can play it even more.

Dude they have been serving sony for quite a long time, and beside they are gonna be releasing it in both Xbox360 and PS3, I guess its short to say that they want to spread final fantasy 13 on both of the consoles.
For sure, The Xbox 360 has sold almost 28 million consoles, the PS3 has sold just over 21 million consoles, so effectively they are doubling the amount of customers they can achieve by expanding it to an additional console, makes great financial sense really, plus gamers seem to buy more 360 games than PS3 games according to the attachment rate numbers, I think the 360 on average sells almost 8 games per console, anyway it's a win-win for the gamer and the consumer!

square confirmed that FFXIII's pre-rendered cut-scenes took up 32.6 GB of space and I do believe it. see unlike FFXIII blue dragon only had like 5 or 6 pre-rendered cut-scenes through out the whole game and the rest was all in-game and because of that mistwalker was able to put towns to explore , forests , mountains , dungeons , outer space , an air ship to fly anywhere you want and more and the same goes for lost odyssey and lost odyssey is far bigger then both blue dragon and FFXIII

who cares if it has 8 cores. the 360 does have 3 cores but if you didn't know the 360's 3 cores are a modified versions of the PPE in the Cell processor . bet you didn't know that right ? the 360 can handle anything that the ps3 has. why is it that it's been able to handle former ps3 exclusive games like GTA4 , DMC4 , VF5 , FFXIII , Tekken 6 , L.A Noire , MGS: Rising , Quantum theory , RE5 , mars , rage , crysis 2 and more then ?

not true. criterion games , bioware , epic games , lionhead studio , tecmo , turn 10 studio and more said that the 360 is not maxed out. the only ones that said that 360 is maxed out is EA and Volition. that's it. naughty dog , konami and crytek said that they maxed out the ps3 but we know that's not true and the same goes for the 360 otherwise games like mass effect 2 , alan wake , halo reach , gears of war 3 , rage , crysis 2 and more wouldn't look so damn good like it does so not true bro.

@KB3594 if anything I blame MS for being so cheap and not using another disc format to hold larger games. if they didn't want to use HD-DVD because it was too expensive , then why didn't they use FVD -foward versatile disc then ? it has 30 GB of space just like HD-DVD but it's better cause it uses the same red lasers that dvd's uses and works on dvd players too and it costs as much as dvd's. 360 can handle anything the ps3 can do but but it's the dvd's that's holding the 360 back not cpu.

@KB3594 how is that possible when the 360's GPU alone has a total polygon count of 500 million polygons per sec while the rsx only has a total polygon count of 300 million polygons per sec ? yes the cell is very powerful but the 360's CPU is no slouch either. remember IBM the creators of the cell also created the 360's CPU and the 360's 3 cores has 6 threads in total and not only that but the 3 cores the 360 has are a modified versions of the PPE in the Cell processor don't forget that.

For sure, The Xbox 360 has sold almost 28 million consoles, the PS3 has sold just over 21 million consoles, so effectively they are doubling the amount of customers they can achieve by expanding it to an additional console, makes great financial sense really, plus gamers seem to buy more 360 games than PS3 games according to the attachment rate numbers, I think the 360 on average sells almost 8 games per console, anyway it's a win-win for the gamer and the consumer!
