  • @shannonlad100 Thanks.....

  • awesome job, love it

  • The Hot Violinist (Jenny O'Connor) now has her own band called Circa Paleo. Look them up. They're great.

  • This is great!!! I'll love to play it but in the chello

  • Hi There- My name is Jenny and I'm the fiddler in this video. I'm in a band called Circa Paleo now. :)

  • i a like a gypsy very much my name is a borat

  • @jmoneyboy08 HI! Borat!

  • I believe this is at a rennie festical, not actual gypsies, Circa Paleo I think

  • @pvtgunny Gypsies can mean anything! When your at a Ren Fest. the feeling in the air is Gypsies! Carefree and having fun!....That's my term for Gypsies! Going to the Ren Fest today; YES!!!!!!!

  • contin....I might not go. Jenny's not there....:( Shes at Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire! Total bummer.

  • @joshjames76 Yea, some of the comments didn't quite seem to get this though :P

Actually this was E Muzeki wasn't it

  • @pvtgunny I get ya! Yes that was E Muzeki....They have gone there different ways.....I went to the ren fest yesterday. Had a great time as usual. She wasn't there this year; but still had a blast! Take care. Josh

  • There seem to be a lot of aimless souls milling about here and there.

  • @BugsWisely NO compendia! What are you suggesting?

  • Lovely performance

The term 'gypsies' tends to be a bit of a put down these days

What a pretty and talented lass

  • I wish i could play a violin too!

  • Awesome! Marvelous rendition of one of Zep's very finest efforts.

  • @trimetrodon Must agree with you....:-)

  • Ken why would you insult gypsies by suggesting good musicians would be insulted because someone called them gypsies? Other ethnic groups have nefarious pasts but people generally let it go. Why can't you?

  • :) !

  • agreed ,my favorite zepplin song, only jen , could make it more beautiful

  • @scrufftater totally agree!

  • Why would you insult these good musicians by calling them Gypsies?

  • @kenp3L I call myself a gypsy, because I roam around loosely. I guess it all depends on how you look at the word. I look at it as a compliment. I say Jenny last year at the ren fest and I told here about the video and she was happy about it. Its all good; not an insult! Relax!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @joshjames76 There are two senses of the word. One is the nomadic, thieving people emerging from the India-Iran boarder region in the 14th or 15th century. The other is any individual who is simply nomadic or transient. The latter is a rather benign stereotype of the former.

  • @kenp3L thanks you, I mean nomadic and laid back. I hate the stereotype.

  • Jenny is so beautiful

  • @solemngreavance totally agree..:)

  • E Muzeki, Jenny O'Connor playing the violin. I love their performances, make you feel lighthearted and cheer you up.

  • @advisorinde glad you enjoyed it. If you go to "Michigan Renaissance Festival 2010" under my videos I have her at Michigan this last year. I just check them out and saw one performance at about 6:00 on the first one. But I have another one of her doing Kashmir, but I am not sure its been posted. I will look later! Thanks for stopping by!

  • Love this!

  • I love it!!! Reminds when I was half drunk in a small town Alaska and the Bluegrass band playing for about 20 people bust out "Mama Said Knock you Out!" It totally ruled.

  • great song, nice paformance!!!

  • Renn fests are sooo cool...... everyone everywhere needs to support them

  • I could never get bored of this version....play on minstrels plz :)

  • Does anyone have any sheet music for this?

  • Ahhhhhhhhh! E Muzeki! Too bad they have gone their separate ways. Jenny is incredible and Mark is great.

  • @choofish Saw Wine and Alchemy (Mark and the djembe player's new band) play this (with sitar) and immediately ran over to see Jenny's band. As soon as I was within earshot, Kashmir started. Though I overall preferred W&A's performance, no one can touch Jenny's fiddle playing.

  • bad ass!

  • Hey..BTW...Thanks for posting this..It has made a lot of people I know happy :-)

  • @Crom610 very kool!

    Cheers!

    Ratman and Bobin

  • Are they back together again? I just went to there old website and it seems as though they are in there own separate agendas?

  • The violinist started a group called Circa Paleo and the guitar/mandolin/other stuff player started a group called Wine & Alchemy. Saw them both this weekend at the Michigan Ren Fest. Circa Paleo played a shortened version of this

  • Nice job!

  • just saw her and the band at great lakes medevil faire August 1st, 2009

  • This is just elemental and beautiful, mysterious. A very interesting and tasteful take on Zeppelin's classic! I would love to have seen them perform that song.

  • its really haunting

  • the most amazing thing i have ever heard this girl is gods most amazing creature i want her to have my children

  • this is E Muzeki.

  • Yep! No longer together! So sad! But there music lives on.............

  • I saw this band play this song live at a different venue. I think it was in Md somewhere; I forget where specifically. I also have their CD with this song being the last track, which I purchased at their concert. It's a wonderful CD.

  • So touching video...Performances&shows like this one are more interesting than the festivals' official shows.

The guys are spontaneous, original&the most important:simlpe.

    Just the essense.

Music (generally art) performed one the streets, by anyone he feels familiar to it, touches deeper souls..

I thank the guys (gyspsies or not) and hope they will continue to choose for being expressed the eternal artists' pontium; the street

    stefanos

  • Very good...

  • Great stuff...I saw Zep twice back in the day Thanks!

  • Transitions were spot on, well done!

  • very good and a good lookin violinist :D:D

  • pretty cool, really liked this cover.

  • Zepplin is getting covered in lots of unusual places. The Waybacks played a whole set of Zeplin songs at Merlefest in '08 and was a big hit. This fit the venue perfectly, great cover.

  • I scoped them out! Not to shabby!

  • Great rendition ! I also liked a version performed by a music group called The Ordinaires. They are on the YouTube video titled:

    The Ordinaires - "Kashmir"

It's amazing how many great Kashmir alternative versions are out there!

  • I'm an old man who seen Zep in their heyday, this music touched my heart...

  • Your not that old, I am a couple of years older then you.

  • I envy you, old man ***gggg***

  • great music made my day, thank you

  • Glad you enjoyed it. It is good stuff. They were even better live. Thanks for the comment.

I deeply appreciate you posting this :D LOVE THE ZEPPELIN !

  • i got to see her at the great lakes midevil fair

  • This young lady does a wonderful job. Love to hear more of her music.

  • Great stuff! The bad news is that they broke up and are doing there own thing! Good news is that you can still find out about them in there myspace page..... E Muzeki Enjoy! You will find a few songs and other info!

  • i love how at the start they have a walking audience but by the end they have a small crowd. This is the most impressive non-vocal cover ive heard and you can even imagine it being played in the iron-age. Loved it.

  • Robert Plant would've joined in imediately.

  • Amazing...

The accents on the fiddle are beautiful...

  • muy bueno!!!

  • Gorgeous

  • omfg this is amazing, so beautiful

  • insane... just that...

  • I just can't get enough of this! it's awesome, i'm going to favorite it.

  • wow what subtleties to the fiddle players voicings, she does several parts with her own and

    Page's/Plant's signature written into them.....feels like we're in Kashmir...wow

  • Verr nace.

  • wow...what a mind-blowing performance.

  • had a nice Morroccan flavor to it, very well done , indeed. I'm sure it would bring a smile to the faces of Page and plant any day of the week !!!

  • 2005 Renaissance Festival in Michigan!

  • This is BEYOND awesome!!!

  • I agree! It was alot of fun, live! Good times!

  • what have you done with my gypsie tears???

  • Great job. That must be hell to play on a violin.

  • very cool

  • Firstly, this was amazing; interesting new take on an old classic, just goes to show that a good song is always good regardless of what style it is played in.

Secondly, it is really refreshing to read all 87 comments posted so far and found only one negative; most covers on youtube end up as a slanging match between various people on the merits of cover versions and whether the original is better etc (all totally pointless). Not a single expletive in sight, wonderful.

  • Absolutely LOVE IT!!! DO you know who these musicians are?

  • E Muzeki

  • So Cool!!!! Great fiddle playing!!!!

  • LED ZEPPELIN!!!!!!!!!

  • hahaha

    this is great

    just great
