@pvtgunny Gypsies can mean anything! When your at a Ren Fest. the feeling in the air is Gypsies! Carefree and having fun!....That's my term for Gypsies! Going to the Ren Fest today; YES!!!!!!!
@pvtgunny I get ya! Yes that was E Muzeki....They have gone there different ways.....I went to the ren fest yesterday. Had a great time as usual. She wasn't there this year; but still had a blast! Take care. Josh
Ken why would you insult gypsies by suggesting good musicians would be insulted because someone called them gypsies? Other ethnic groups have nefarious pasts but people generally let it go. Why can't you?
@kenp3L I call myself a gypsy, because I roam around loosely. I guess it all depends on how you look at the word. I look at it as a compliment. I say Jenny last year at the ren fest and I told here about the video and she was happy about it. Its all good; not an insult! Relax!!!!!!!!!!!
@joshjames76 There are two senses of the word. One is the nomadic, thieving people emerging from the India-Iran boarder region in the 14th or 15th century. The other is any individual who is simply nomadic or transient. The latter is a rather benign stereotype of the former.
@advisorinde glad you enjoyed it. If you go to "Michigan Renaissance Festival 2010" under my videos I have her at Michigan this last year. I just check them out and saw one performance at about 6:00 on the first one. But I have another one of her doing Kashmir, but I am not sure its been posted. I will look later! Thanks for stopping by!
I love it!!! Reminds when I was half drunk in a small town Alaska and the Bluegrass band playing for about 20 people bust out "Mama Said Knock you Out!" It totally ruled.
@choofish Saw Wine and Alchemy (Mark and the djembe player's new band) play this (with sitar) and immediately ran over to see Jenny's band. As soon as I was within earshot, Kashmir started. Though I overall preferred W&A's performance, no one can touch Jenny's fiddle playing.
@joshjames76 I wish i could play like them..i have been playing the violin for 2 years but i had been put into first violin for my high school orchestra soo i dont really know im great or not but i am trying hard.
The violinist started a group called Circa Paleo and the guitar/mandolin/other stuff player started a group called Wine & Alchemy. Saw them both this weekend at the Michigan Ren Fest. Circa Paleo played a shortened version of this
This is just elemental and beautiful, mysterious. A very interesting and tasteful take on Zeppelin's classic! I would love to have seen them perform that song.
I saw this band play this song live at a different venue. I think it was in Md somewhere; I forget where specifically. I also have their CD with this song being the last track, which I purchased at their concert. It's a wonderful CD.
I could cry at the sheer, bewitching beauty of their performance of a Zeppelin song I have forever held in my heart!! <333♥♥♥ This trio has enough musical talent to fill many oceans. 8D I can't believe how spellbinding the fiddle sounds! aaaah
<333 Thank you endlessly for being so generous with this gem!!♥♥ 8))) Oh how I cherish this... :D
Zepplin is getting covered in lots of unusual places. The Waybacks played a whole set of Zeplin songs at Merlefest in '08 and was a big hit. This fit the venue perfectly, great cover.
Great stuff! The bad news is that they broke up and are doing there own thing! Good news is that you can still find out about them in there myspace page..... E Muzeki Enjoy! You will find a few songs and other info!

Thank you for recording this we have wacthed this so many times SHE IS SO GOOD SO'S THE DRUMMER THE GUITARIST TO THE MAN DANCING IN THE BACKGROUND I KNOW CAPSLOCK BUT ITS TO LATE NOW
Firstly, this was amazing; interesting new take on an old classic, just goes to show that a good song is always good regardless of what style it is played in.
Secondly, it is really refreshing to read all 87 comments posted so far and found only one negative; most covers on youtube end up as a slanging match between various people on the merits of cover versions and whether the original is better etc (all totally pointless). Not a single expletive in sight, wonderful.
If you haven't already done so, check out a band called Hayseed Dixie... they're a bluegrass band that started out doing AC/DC covers... then later on, did Black Sabbath, Van Halen, Green Day, and even Outkast... check it out, you won't be disappointed...by the way awesome vid, thanks!
