I love my nokia N900, I had the n95, n96, the dissapointing n97, e71, e63, 5800 and the 5230, I am getting tired of Nokia and their outdated way of thinking and dissapointing phones, the n900 is awesome but lacking apps and multitouch...I think android is my next move and HTC my next company.

Gee I thought want to buy N97 since it has phone + GPS rather than buying Garmin GPS (just GPS only) Nokia's website says FREE for live can anyone verify IT'S REALLY FREE FOR LIFE OR IT'S A TRIAL???? Thanxxx

i've got n97 mini. today i've tried gps for the thirst time. it was very nice, but after couple of seconds phone asked me if i want to start my 10 days trial. does it mean that after then trial expiries i'll have to pay for it??

How do I search for an address?

I cannot find a search for street names and house numbers, just all different kind of places or positions directly from the map...

which mobile u using ? n900 (meamo 5) or earlier version (n97, 5800) ?

note: places: let you find restaurant, cafe, cinema, mall, hospital and etc. it does not search address, although sometimes it works ...

go to "routing" > "set new destination" > "set from search"

you will notice "please enter address :)

I can NOT find anything like "please enter adress"... Is it just me?? :)

Hi Guys....

I've got SE-Satio and installed HelloOx2, wich means I can install the nokia apps.

I've installed the Ovi Maps and its totally free. It might cost for you that arent using free WAP(mobile internet)

But you can download the maps onto your phone and go Offline in GPS

But:

Sometime the phone ask's me if I want to buy the service for a day, week, month or a year.....And this I dont understand... If The service is free,, Why bother asking me if I want 2 buy it!!????

Ok k dont really get this, is it free to use the navigation on contract because i keep getting charged. If i wanted to wslk to a place wpuld cost even if i have contract internet?? Im am vodafone if that helps at all

maybe becouse your internet on the phone is activated. try to turn of the internet on your phone (switch to wifi profile or so) or disable internet acces for the maps and use offline maps( i dont know how you do that for nokia but try google).

Can't really say for sure I've heard rumours it might be in the comming couple of weeks as a part of a new firmware update, but I can't really say for sure.

Since Ovi Maps gobbles up quite a bit of the memory on the C: drive and the N97 doesn't really have that much to spare, they're delaying this on the N97 a bit in order to implement a workaround.
