My father loved this kind of music: show & marching bands. I grew up with this kind of music, and it has taken me back down memory. I know this routine by head, since my father had it all on tape. Thank you for posting this. Makes me emotional and enjoying it all over again.
Wow think of all the hours put in leading up to this...where might we have stalled had it not been for the leadership of Mr. C, Mr. D, and the support of all the band moms and families...not to mention the sweat and long practice hours. Sorry I missed the trip, but I was there for the prelude
To kermismart1 - to answer your question, we were a regular public high school band with some extraordinary leadership - so as we passed through high school and graduated, we did what all high school bands do - started our lives and drifted apart through the years...
I can't express my gratitude at being able to watch our World Show Performance 30+ years later...THANK YOU BOGtrumpet78 for posting this!! No matter how many times I watch it I still get teary-eyed!! As a teenager back in the day I never had a clue as to what a rare opportunity and honor it was to be part of the Largo Band of Gold...wish it hadn't taken me so long to figure it out!!
My dad played the trumpet for this band!
