  • dont pitch the roof you will ruin it---its a style --and hides the solar better--just offer two baths --and smaller square footage---im an electrician--what do you put in there mc cable--conduit--or romex?---seems mc would be a good fit--less toxic and more renewable---awesome product

  • do you have other floor plans--more like 1000 square--or is each one a custom build--very interested

  • Can this be transfered to Africa, Europe or the caribbean? I really like this build. I am no architect by the way. Always looking for something thing like this; simple, contemporary and environmentally sustainable. How much (average price) to build a two bed, two bathroom dwelling with a studio space?

  • Bamboo is a big plus. But steel may be recycled but is energy intensive and produces polution. Bamboo is the best sustainable renewable material. They use it as scaffolding in China. It is the future.

A home of the future surely shouldn't be sited in a desert where humans can not live sustainably.

But i do really like it. It is simple the furniture works in well. It is modest and fits most peoples needs.

  • Ok for hot climates, what about colder climates like Quebec or wetter more humid like BC?

  • Thank you for your comment. We agree....smaller is better. The concrete floor has standard batt insulation below the steel B decking. The insulation is then protected by a very light gauge corrugated steel sheeting that creates a wind- and rodent-proof cover. As for waiving the need for fire sprinklers....I don't know the answer to that....it will probably vary by jurisdiction. Our house is obviously highly fire resistant but no structure is fire-proof. And thanks for bath and roof ideas.

  • Out of all I have seen I think I like your home the best. I build small homes for a living. Small is the future. A couple questions and a suggestion. What if any insulation is in the floor? If cities require fire sprinklers, can those be waived because of the nature of this structure? A couple suggestions would be to stay small and specialize in only small structures and add a second bathroom. One bathroom makes your home functionally obsolete right off the bat.....maybe pitch the roof more.
