@Alfred0047 There's probably something lost in that translation. Shenzhen was probably the origin of her flight, the plane was delayed there, but she made it on time to Hong Kong. Something happened in Hong Kong that made her miss her connecting flight to New York. And seeing as how the employees haven't swooped in to subdue or detain her, it's probably not this woman's fault.

@chinagrrl I think what happened here was that this woman was supposed to go to Singapore because her daughter was in the hospital and was in critical condition. She missed the flight, obviously. She was able to get on a later flight, but then when she arrived in Singapore she got a text message saying that her daughter had died. Basically, this woman missed her daughter by 4 hours.
I feel extremely sorry for her and the situation she may be in, but at the same time i strongly feel like she deserves it after putting on this display...Does anyone else feel this way?

I'm Chinese and I'm gonna say it: I am sick and tired of bygone generation Chinese people making fools of themselves with complete disregard to the rest of us who happen to share their ethnicity. It's embarrassing and the world is too polite to point it out. It's videos like these that only foster, for better or worse, the anti-Asian sentiment in the west. @MartiniShelby Yeah, security was not all over her. I truly and honestly think it has to do with the fact that the people over there in HongKong have become inured to this kind of thing: they've gotten used to it and, what's more, they've come to expect it. Even though that's speculation on my part, I really do think it reflects the general attitude over there. If my own family is any indication, many women (particularly those who lived during the 50s, China) have no idea what it is to be civil.

@MartiniShelby In general, whether it's because of culture or because of economic advantage, the West generally tends to be much more flexible in its generalizations than the East. What I mean by that is this: if one generalizes in the West, they are open to counterexamples and evidence. That seems to be much less the case in the East---and that's putting it euphemistically. Unfortunately, racism and ethnocentricism is still strong in some areas.
