nice video guys. I live in fairfield so i do a lot of sturgeon fishing too, never thought about using kayaks but it looks fun, there is a lot of monsters @ grizzly
Wow that looks like a kick in the butt guys!!! Where are you fishing?? Just curious, we fish on the columbia river gorge Just think it would be cool!!
hmm wut bait were u using? im using grass and ghost neither seems to be working lately...4 days and caught nothing but decent size striper...going for sturgeon and get stripers...wow
Yeah buddy! I do this in the Columbia river in Oregon from a 9' pontoon boat but I use a steelhead rod with light line (20lb) just to make it harder. Don't lose much gear but do get to go on some long rides. We catch a lot of oversizers in our spot too. Badass vid dudes.
kayak fishing seems more popular in the states than up here in western Canada,we use pontoon boats but it looks like a neat way to fish, and doing sturgeon is just cool.great clip looks like a blast

what did you use to catch them with, because it certainly didn't look like a fishing pool. is that legal to fish sturgeon like that?
nerakola 3 years ago
I assume you are talking about the snare...they do't fit in a net and you can't gaff them so snares are the standard.

This is an awesome video, and you guys kick ass. It is hard enough to catch sturgeon out of a boat, let alone a kayak. Keep up the good work.

Thanks...our last outing we managed a to get three, one lost after a couple of incredible jumps, one legal, and one over,

The experience is similar, you can just cover a lot more water in a yak. Glad you enjoyed it.
