Where are these bouts held? I am visiting family in the Philippines from Canada for a few weeks and would like to attend. Good on the Philippines for getting into MMA.
just continue training in Canada,MMA is still at its infancy in the Philippines but will develop in time,if you train in Canada you have a bigger shot of landing in the UFC

MMA Philippines is a Tiger asleep. I'm here in Manila. I've been watching PRIDE, UFC, DREAM, M-1, Sengoku, and K-1. All I can say is Filipinos are conditioned strikers (boxing), we can dominate on the stiking aspect but ground game (bjj and wrestling) is still a suspect.
great sport! while it may look brutal at times the facts are clear these are well trained individuals who don't stand around in a ring for 10 rounds getting hit 200 times in the head. Most fights end in less than 5 min and many times without hardly a punch. Arm bars, rear naked chokes or many other submission moves are ended quickly as these guys know what happens if the move is fully executed and this avoids so many injuries.
