The term "melting pot" has actually been disfavored by many political scientists, the term refers to the combining of elements to create one (like steel) which would mean it becomes all the same (different people would be excluded). I did a project last year and overheard 4/5 employees of my plumbing subcontractor complaining to a freind of mine about their wages, and as I walked in and asked them what they were looking for, they told me they would like to get $8.00 an hr as opposed to $7.00 an hr. These are plumbers, usually a skilled trade. I made what they are making today... as a laborer.... IN 1980!

I am in the construction business, have worked with many South Americans over the years, (thats also an issue no one raises, its not just about MEXICO.) Illegal immigration is a greater problem in a place such as Arizona. It's not like we've got Canadians coming in illegally at high rates. You're right, we enjoy each others' cultures, but we don't speak each others languages. Mexicans are the only race here who expects others to speak their language. We're all descended from immigrants, but our ancestors came here legally, stood in line and waited their turn. Most importantly, they learned English, our national language. I'm fairly certain that if our president visited Mexico, stood before its congress and insulted its immigration laws, he wouldn't get a standing ovation.

Mexico has more strict laws than the United States when it comes to immigration. They enforce the laws they have created. Why is it wrong for the United States to enforce the laws they have? Also, if any President wants to speak in the congress of a foriegn country and criticize that government, he should expect a response, like the one Mclintock gave. There are other diplomatic channels to use when two contries disagree.

I feel like this dude didn't really research much? The term "melting pot" has actually been disfavored by many political scientists, the term refers to the combining of elements to create one (like steel) which would mean it becomes all the same (different people would be excluded). Also, the United States does not, and had not had the most nuclear weapons, that still goes to Russia.
The US can tell non developing countries what to do, bc it is seen as us helping their development.

Yes we are a melting pot. However to be a part of this melting pot you have to get here legally. We cant just allow everybody to come in, its not economically viable. On top of that, clearly you didnt read the law b/c you got it all wrong. Also, yes there is some hypocrisy here b/c we do tell other countries what to do. but considering we are having problems with the people that are running away from Caldersons country, we have a say.

Prior posting such a video, I would suggest doing a little research on the matter & formulate a more cohesive argument. Since nuclear laws are not just a policing device but an agreement by the United Nations to protect everyone from an over zealous psycho leader. And immigration laws are to protect the system from getting over run. The reason why the president said what he did & why Mexicans sneak over is because they see us as a weak nation and an easy rich target -- ARE you an easy target?

Young kids out high school can not find work because they can not work for the illegals wage rate. I don't know what an 18 year old american non-union carpenter looks like! In the non-union trades, you used to be able to make a good living, buy a car, raise a family, perhaps buy a house. Those days are gone because of the exploitation of illegal workers. I have seen the 1 bedroom apartments that housed no less than 15 men, seperated by bedsheets taped to the ceilings into 7' x 3' areas.

I did a project last year and overheard 4/5 employees of my plumbing subcontractor complaining to a freind of mine about their wages, and as I walked in and asked them what they were looking for, they told me they would like to get $8.00 an hr as opposed to $7.00 an hr. These are plumbers, usually a skilled trade. I made what they are making today... as a laborer.... IN 1980!

I am in the construction business, have worked with many South Americans over the years, (thats also an issue no one raises, its not just about MEXICO.)
