I have watched this series, no wonder people complaint about the unemployment in their own countries because no one is willing to put in the SWEAT to make something. I see why we import cloth. Its cheap and leave the dirty jobs for others!!
It's interesting to watch the woman from the BRC. As spokesperson, she's not so much concerned with the issue as protecting the privacy of the retailers that buy from such places. She speaks of ethics and change, but its the same empty dialogue that is used by lobbyists, politicians, and corporations to keep consumers in the dark. The woman almost seemed relieved at the end when Stacey and Georgina said their closing statements. Yes, let the retailers decide. We'll do what's best. Not.
oh and in addition to my previous comment re corporate greed - those who set the breakneck pace the shit working conditions and oppress their own neighbors have shook the hands of the corporation who exploit the lack of humanity to their own neighbors and therefore have the filth of greed on their own hands. working conditions were not always good here in the us but it is up to everyone to protect their neighbors not ally with the exploiters
what a SMOKE SCREEN for blatant CORPORATE GREED - you send a group of immature spoiled superficial kids to create a public diversion to who really wears the blood and tears of oppressed exploited slaves to the global economy that is run by rich greedy bastards who hide behind the doors of their mansions in their private communities and now hide behind some spoiled kids. as usual shift the blame onto the indoctrinated consumer - the spoiled kids are as much victims of the same system
I really don't like Stacey she's got this goofy attitude it doesn't look like she was affected. I mean she probably is but her behaviour is sorta like, yeaah I experienced it, yeaaah it was devastating yeeeah..
I saw pt.1 on ABC today and I cried. I will not buy any more CK products!!!!!!!!!!! I will not pay AUD35 for a pair of boxers or AUD160 for a shirt when the workers in India were paid 1.20 pounds per day!!!!! SHAME SHAME SHAME!!!!!
this woman is a coörperate whore.. and the guy's right, companies should be held accountable for where they get their product.
